The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. It's a 1-minute drive, or 10 minute walk to the public beach (Fox Island Sand Spit) With a little luck you may see local Orca Whales at Fox Island Sandspit or the Fox Island Fishing Pier. Dogs: Up to 1 well behaved dog, is allowed with extra pet fee of $25 per stay. There is a strict, No Barking policy from 8pm - 9am.
