Our delightful 3-roomed cottage has everything you need for a weekend break, to a week away. The house can cater for 3 adults comfortably, with one king bed and a single. We can add an extra camp bed upon request ($10 per night). The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and comfortable beds. Innisfree provides a secluded, private and relaxing getaway. We are a working farm and nature refuge, and may need to come to tend things during your stay. When possible we will let you know.

The platypus, other waterlife and birdlife are visible from the breakfast / cocktail bar as well as from the bathtub or outdoor shower. The biggest decision you will need to make is which vantage point to enjoy. The cottage is on a ten acre property surrounded by nature in every direction. The cottage is spacious with unique features like an outdoor bath and a lovely rainforest driveway. Rare and endemic species of rainforest and fruit trees. Wildlife and birds live and visit the property . Tree kangaroos nearby. Seperate bathroom and undercover large deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, flat screen TV. We do have 2 other cabins on the property to accommodate larger families or groups. 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we are no longer providing breakfast.

You don't need to be an Architectural buff to appreciate this truly special space. Isosceles triangles proliferate in every element, crafted by local tradesmen using local materials. The original lead light windows, are the bedroom centrepiece...the colours reflecting throughout the room upon waking is a morning like no other. A minimalist interior, yet with all the comforts , so as to not detract from the masterpiece of Eddies design.

Kisler Cottage - Rural retreat with a view

We call our lovely cottage "Kisler Cottage". It is located on the edge of Malanda which has all amenities, shops, period hotel, RSL , cafes and restaurants. Malanda is a great base to explore the Atherton Tablelands. Kisler Cottage is fully self contained, well appointed with quality furniture, some made by master- craftsman Victor Kisler, hence the name. The views from the cottage front deck are spectacular. So are the sunsets.
