Holiday rentals in Achill Island

We had a wonderful three-day stay at Mary’s place! The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is convenient with great access to the town. The price was very reasonable for everything that was offered. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, the hot tub and sauna made our trip so much more enjoyable — they turned rainy days into relaxing afternoons. Sitting by the dock with a cup of hot tea, watching the water, was one of the most peaceful moments of our stay. Thank you, Mary, for providing such a cozy and lovely getaway!

What an absolutely amazing house, loads of space and very family / children friendly. The views are breathtaking, plus the added enjoyment of sheep, goats, alpacas, donkies and chickens to keep young children entertained. The hosts were excellent and very accommodating, my only criticism (all be it very minor) the pots/pans/utensils require to be replaced, and there isn't a teapot.. but everything else was impeccable! Would definitely stay again, and looking at dates for 2025 already!!

We stayed in the cottage 4 nights lovely house with everything you need lovely quiet location and you can walk into the town .I would highly recommend staying at these cottages.

My friend and I absolutely loved our stay at Helen’s mountain cottage! The setting is breathtaking and so close to nature. Birdsong, pheasant squawks, sheep bleating and an ever-changing sky. The views are amazing. The cottage is charming and welcoming, a perfect place to enjoy peaceful privacy and beautiful walks. Helen was very friendly, helpful and responsive. We didn’t meet Jurgen, but he graciously left us beautiful firewood for the stove. He built the gorgeous sauna, which fits perfectly with the rustic experience. We had some great weather, so we loved having a fire outside as we gazed at the lake, sky and landscape. The cottage is not luxurious, but we loved it and the peaceful surroundings. Heidi the happy dog was a sweet addition to our stay. You will be so glad you booked this magical place! Thank you, Helen and Jurgen!

Rossport Cottage was even better than the description and the photos. The cottage was very comfortable and well- equipped, and the views were amazing! Sheila, Kieran, and Teresa were very responsive when there was a minor plumbing issue, and it was quickly resolved. We were very lucky with the weather, which made our week at Rossport all the more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

The accommodation was clean, tidy, presentable and very comfortable, it came with all the necessities. Catherine was a lovely host and she welcomed us with her home made scones which were delicious. Catherine is very friendly and helpful. We loved her hospitality. The house is private and comes with a beautiful surroundings with beautiful animals all around. We will definitely revisit. This cottage is almost at the end of a country lane, overlooking the sea. I walked every day down to the ocean, to the old castle, along the seashore, etc. Very nice stay.

We had a brilliant stay at Áine’s property! It is conveniently located less than a five minute drive from Westport town and very easy to find. We had a smooth check in facilitated by Margaret the caretaker who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the property. The house itself is gorgeous and perfect for a group due to the extra beds in the rooms. The kitchen is well equipped and perfect for self catering. Overall, Áine was a great host and we had a fabulous stay at her property.

Highly recommend this spot - great location, well equipped house, and Monika was very responsive and accommodating. Lovely stay overall.
