Castle holiday rentals in Allier River

Laurence was a fabulous host, graciously welcoming us and inviting us to take a drink in the gardens so we could recover from our journey. The house/chateau was delightful, full of antiques and ornaments galore! Our room was quaint with the bathroom in the turret, all very compact and bijou! The breakfasts were complete delights to the senses, all extremely well done, the etiquette in the dining room was superb. We loved every item, from the individual jam bowls to the knife rests. Everything was perfect including the food. Homemade jams, fruit, cereals, local honey and cheese along with perfect croissants, and bread to die for. No dieting here! We loved our stay only wished we'd booked a double bed and it would have been sublime xxx

Completely atypical place! In search of a change of scenery and calm, it is completely the place that allows us to recharge our batteries. The extra host is really awesome person, he bends over backwards to satisfy us as much as possible. Lots of communication, sharing, I can only recommend spending some time with Fred and his family. Value level is amazing. Beautiful walks are recommended, to discover dairy cows, and at breakfast as at home with healthy products are only a plus. Thanks again Fred for everything!

Beautiful site for this beautiful bed and breakfast, very comfortable. Odile welcomed us with great kindness. Lots of services available: a beautiful living room, sauna, covered heated pool, bikes, washing machines... Beautiful hikes from the cottage. It's a good place to stay and I'll go back there. We had a fantastic stay at Chateau de la Chambre. Dominique and Alain were wonderful hosts - we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The area is stunning - not very touristy but that was a positive for us! Beautiful villages and easy to reach Lyon, Vichy and the Puy de Dôme. Thoroughly recommend!

Amazing place. Amazing host. Amazing rooms & amenities. Don‘t miss that place on your trip through France!! You will find yourself back in time in a medieval setting with your horses strolling in front of the window. The house offered by Marie-Christine is very pleasant, nestled in the heart of a medieval castle, it has crazy charm, it is very quiet and particularly cool during the hot summer days. A very nice family experience

With friends, we had a lovely stay with kids who were able to enjoy the many rooms of the castle when it was the storm outside. We took full advantage of the living room and fireplace, lots of wood is available, the very friendly dining and the large kitchen. The bedrooms are very large and the environment quiet. Liesbeth who hosted us is lovely and available. We were unable to get the TV working which wasn't a real problem for us but can be annoying for some.

We had a great time at this very pleasant little house to live in, quiet, nicely renovated, very well equipped and very comfortable. The bedroom with the small balcony overlooking the trees is spacious, very cozy and the bedding is of very good quality. There's even a space where you can store bikes. Maryse welcomed us very warmly, very friendly and very accommodating. We felt at home. The location is perfect for enjoying the cantal, nature, hiking or biking. We highly recommend this accommodation!

Delighted stay in this place unlike any other. We loved our break at this fabulous castle, decorated with taste and authenticity. A visit to the castle was even offered to us by 2 of the reception team, who make it a point of honor to share the history of the castle and the desire of the teams to make the castle known to as many people as possible.
