This home far exceeded my expectations. I have a travel party of 6. There was more room and space than expected. It was a nice change. The home and grounds were kept very clean and orderly. That is great for me because I love organized and orderly. There were plenty of dishes and cookware. I like to prepare meals for my team and everything I needed to cook and clean were available. The magnificent view of thr lake across the meadow is priceless. I can't be more pleased with our experience.

Hide Away Retreat - Quiet Peaceful...Rathbun Lake

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway Retreat in Melrose. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. When we lost a bolt out of our boat trailer, Dianne was able to find a replacement to get us back on the road and in the water. And hardware wasn't even on the list of things provided! How's that for service?

Lovely and cozy home, absolutely beautiful location, very friendly host, easy check in. We drove all the way from Arizona to stay in Iowa for a family member’s wedding, and it was the perfect place to lay low after a long day of festivities. 10/10 would recommend. I’d love to go back!

Place was very nice and private. Enough room to drive in and out with truck and 20 foot boat. It was our very first time in the area and very first time at Rathbun. Close to boat launch/state park and made it extremally easy to travel back and forth for the morning and evening fishing trip. Just down the street, there is a "self Service" station where you can buy firewood's, baits and Ice which made it extremely convenient. Aaron was very responsive and a great host. Two thumbs up!!!

Loved our stay. 2 days there were 13 of us definitely tested the capacity lots of room. My husband and I added a day , he seldom gets summer vacations. Bring blankets especially if people sleeping on couches. More kitchen stocking if doing a lot of cooking. The house was awesome one level especially the game room extra space. Two sleeper sofa’s would work in there. Lots of room for large groups. Fire pit and pool absolutely great. Patio and two doors on the poolside was very useful. I did call Douglas with a few questions, very accommodating and friendly.

We have been staying here the last couple of years when we attend the Veteran’s of Rathbun event. It is cute and cozy little cabin. It is small but perfect for 2 people. Cabins are super clean. Beautiful views.

Tammi's place in Moravia was a wonderful little getaway. we really enjoyed the cabin and the view of the pond! We booked last minute and Tammi was very quick and happy to help with anything we needed. Would go back again!
