We had a wonderful stay. Lyn is a great host, helpful and very friendly. The house is very spacious and all around a lovely home from home. From the lovely welcome pack (even some treats for our dog which was a lovely touch) to lots of nice little touches throughout the home. An art studio which our kids absolutely loved and added something different to the accomodation to places we've stayed before. A perfect find of a home and location, we'd definitely recommend this place. I can only imagine a stay in the summer would be even more perfect.

We treated ourselves to a stay here over the weekend of our wedding and it was just the best base for everything we needed. Excellent space and lovely host who was very flexible and helpful. Thank you.

A lovely cottage in Moniaive that feels surprisingly spacious inside and offers great value for money. The bedrooms are a generous size, and the well-equipped cottage suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen had everything for cooking, and it was warm throughout our stay. The only room needing a rethink is the living room. There’s just one couch and a chaise lounge - not enough for a larger group (4 adults, 2 kids and infant). Gina requested that no furniture be moved, but the chaise faces away from the TV, so I see why some might be tempted to move it. A desk in the middle may be useful but takes up space that could allow more seating. When we watched a movie, the kids had to sit on the floor. A slight rearrangement and extra seating would make it perfect! That said, the garden is fantastic, and lovely walks are nearby - great for relaxing and exploring. Gina is a responsive host, and the little extras were much appreciated. Thank you!

A brilliant house in a fantastic location to explore Arran. Our host was fantastic with communication and very flexible due to ferry cancellations. The house is spacious, well presented and very warm. The outdoor space in the back garden is lovely with great views. We will be back again!

This house was perfect! Apart from the fact it’s beautiful and the attention to detail is outstanding- it’s equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were writing for 3 days and it was peaceful, cosy and comfortable. Will book again!

Great location even better stay clean well presented home within a 5 minute drive from shops and restaurants. Great location if going into Glasgow and right by motorway.

The warmth of welcome coupled with the genuine care offered throughout made this a first class stay. Even the threat of Storm Eowyn was no trouble for my host to offer additional time should I need it to avoid the weather. Superb 👌🏼

Me and my partner had a last minute one night stay. A lovely young man checked us in, he was super friendly and helpful. The lodge is stunning, it is so cosy and has everything you need. It is spotlessly clean too. The hot tub was ready to use when we arrived and it looks out onto beautiful scenery. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to family and friends. Just home from a weekend stay with our 2 young kids. We had a fantastic few days, some well needed down time ahead of a busy Christmas. The lodge was beautiful inside & out with everything you needed & more. The hot tub was a great addition - even in the Scottish rain! Karen is a superb host, couldn’t recommend this place enough! We will 100% be back in the summer months x

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew and Mary's lodge in Wemyss Bay Caravan Park over the Christmas period. The hosts were welcoming and took the time to explain all aspects of the lodge and its facilities upon our arrival, which was much appreciated. The lodge was spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated, with comfortable seating and a great table for our Christmas Dinner which made it feel like a true home away from home. It was warm and exactly as described on Airbnb. The location was perfect for a peaceful family getaway, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a cosy and well-appointed retreat!

Hi the caravan as lovely as advertised however we were unaware that the pub amusements, pool, etc could only be used by ‘blue pass’ holders. We arrived after six when office was closed. Disappointed seven year old … saved us a fortune though thanks Gemma

We stayed at Sam’s place at the end of October, it was exactly as it was shown in the listing, the directions Sam provided were absolutely perfect and the views (once the autumn mist had cleared) were great. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area 10/10.

We stayed for 2 nights and the weather was horrendous BUT the cottage more than made up for this. We had everything we needed for some peace and quiet and a well needed rest. Cosy, welcoming and SPOTLESSLY clean! The cottage is on the main road but we never heard any traffic and the river running alongside was a lovely backdrop. Log fire, Netflix, a hot tub great WiFi and plenty of space for us all (including our dog). There is also a sauna which we didn’t use. The cottage is well equipped for cooking and was never cold at all! Plenty of steaming hot water and lovely big bath was a highlight too. We didn’t need to contact Jane for much as her instructions were so easy to understand. The couple of messages we did send however were responded to immediately. We will definitely be back and hopefully have better weather so we can explore the local area more. Thanks so much Jane and see you again soon! x

We had a great stay as a big group over Hogmanay! Clare couldn’t have been more accommodating, and the hot tub + sauna were great! There’s plenty of space for big groups, and being dog friendly was a bonus too

We had a wonderful stay - the apartment was so nicely decorated and in a perfect location. The kitchen is very well equipped. Rachel & Iain were both super friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely love to stay here again when we visit Glasgow.

Cal and Claire went above and beyond coming to give us a lift after our car broke down on the way here on New Year’s Eve when no garages were open! The apartment is beautifully done and we loved learning about the story behind it. The guidebook was also great to help us plan our days here. Thanks for a great stay and we hope to be back!

Just back from spending Xmas day & Boxing Day at The Retreat Check in was easy & the accommodation itself was immaculate and a beautiful location Leah & Gary had decorated for us with beautiful lights & Xmas tree which made our stay extra special They had also left a bottle of Prosecco for us & left breakfast pack and milk which was a lovely & kind gesture The accommodation had everything we needed , towels , bedding , everything you could think of We really couldn’t speak highly enough of the hosts and their accommodation and we can’t wait to book up again

Stayed here with my boyfriend and our two dogs. We had a rainy holiday, but it didn't spoil the beauty around us. There's long woodland trails to the beach within walking distance and the accommodation itself was perfect. The bed was super comfy and the place was spacious for us all with a large secure garden. We'd love to stay here again!

Lovely place, felt right right at home! Mary was also incredibly helpful and responsive, checking in to make sure everything was ok which we appreciated, highly recommend!
