Holiday rentals in Balata

The place had everything we needed. We stayed for 17 days and cooked meals for the majority of it. Walked to the beach, just a short distance many times. Made use of the balcony and watched the tv in the evening. Also close to the market for produce almost daily, and bus terminal. We didn’t have car so walked everywhere in Soufriere. Botanical gardens, Fedos, the big Masseys, butcher on Bridge, next door beverages to the left and ice cream upstairs to the right. 2 bakeries on church st, and another with the good bread for $2.50EC a loaf past the gym and next to shoppers choice convenience store. Also Seashell restaurant on Hummingbird beach is nice. Took water taxis to Sugar and Anse Chastanet for snorkeling. Preferred Anse Chastanet so did it again, and snorkeled Hummingbird as well. Also enjoyed the beach bar of owner Innocence, and some food there as well.

Had a great stay at Dena’s place. The location is SO convenient, next to a supermarket and 10 mins walk to Rodney Bay mall, restaurants and bars. The beach is just another 10 mins, if that. The property was very clean, all mod cons, air con in every room, good wifi so I could work from the house, and a little pool out front which the kids lived in ;) Also, unusually for St Lucia, it was fully glazed so very few mosquitoes. There’s also good security so very safe. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be in the heart of Rodney Bay.

we loved stating at Ocean Villa! We LOVED the space and the view was phenomenal. We really enjoyed our morning coffee looking at the sun rising and the boats coming into the harbor. Karen and her husband Were extremely nice and great at communicating. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

We enjoyed our stay at Rachael’s cozy cottage. It was just what we needed for our nearly 2 week stay in Saint Lucia. Super close to beaches, Restaurants, duty free shops and supermarkets. You don’t need a car for those. If you have a car there is a spot available for parking which was very useful for us. The cottage is nicely tucked into Ridney Bay an excellent location. Rachael left goodies in the kitchen, drinks and snacks. This was a really nice touch. We didn’t need to rush to get water or drinks. There were enough towels, beach towels, kitchen utensils, cleaning products etc. This made our stay more comfortable. Communication was very easy. There was a list of useful numbers in the cottage. We appreciated this. We had one small issue with the gas which was quickly resolved. We appreciated the quick attention. We had a comfortable and amazing stay. We recommend Racheal’s comfy cottage. The apartment is tidy, clean, and very comfortable, with a great balcony to chill and relax and air conditioning in both bedrooms. The hosts are very responsive, helpful, and provide clear instructions. The accommodation is in a pleasant and well-maintained property with well-maintained gardens and a very nice pool area. A great sand beach is just a few minutes away by foot. Many restaurants and supermarkets for grocery shopping are also within a very short walking distance. The only (temporary) downside is the ongoing large-scale construction of a hotel next door which, at the time of our visit, was a very noisy site with heavy machinery rumbling and beeping from early morning till late evening, even during the weekend. Bear that in mind if you book this season (2025) and plan on spending most of the time in place, but have low tolerance for noise pollution throughout the day.

Staying here made us feel like we were celebrities, hiding out in a private villa from the paparazzi! Adela and her family were so nice, but also didn’t intrude on our stay. This villa can be described as a large mansion that then has private apartments that are available to rent. It has a beautiful sprawling backyard with an infinity pool overlooking the valley. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to our unit, it had soaring ceilings and was much larger than the pictures lead us to believe, and was just such a beautiful place to stay. The place had everything we could possibly need with a full kitchen. Nice bathroom with hot water and air conditioning if you choose to use it. The balcony looks out over the courtyard and pool and has a beautiful spot to just sit and enjoy, and have coffee in the mornings. We were in the very top level unit and from our lookout point could see the ocean and also the surrounding valleys. Definitely a hidden gem!

This is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in St. Lucia. I would also like to say this house goes above and beyond your expectations. She is a true and real person through and through very caring about her. Guess I will forever be thankful and grateful to her.❤️💯

Beautiful scenery and villa. Minimalist, island vibes. Modest kitchen but met our needs. Our villa was right next to the pool, mostly had it to ourselves. There were bugs at times in the villa (cockroaches are prevalent on the island) but bug killer provided. Coffee maker, coffee filters provided. There is not a blender and you’ll need to plan to buy water to make ice cubes. The staff were phenomenal. Take time to get to know them as they can provide a lot of insider info on where to go while you are visiting. Tips go a long way with locals wherever you go. Plan to pay the Oasis office on site for the use of the ferry-20 usd pp. The ferry to Doolittles restaurant at the bottom of the hill says free ferry but it’s a deal they have with Doolittles. Over all we had a fantastic stay , and hope to come back again soon !
