Holiday rentals in Bald Eagle State Forest

The place was beautiful, and clean. Dan had messaged us beforehand about snow on the mountain and we all either had all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. In the end most of us parked at the bottom of the driveway and walked up. (if you are bringing a lot of stuff maybe a foldable wagon would be helpful)! Once we got to the house though it was clean, and exactly like the pictures but better! It had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner including a decent amount of spices (I also left a few there). If you want to use the hot tub it takes a few hours to warm up so give it some time. It had paper towels and cleaning supplies. We walked around the property a little bit, the pond was frozen over, and found a tree house? Overall the place was perfect to celebrate my 25th birthday, thank you so much for having us!

Great tiny home to stay in while you venture the outdoors and close in distance to Penn State college. Location was perfect (near the highway) but also felt secluded and quiet which is exactly what I was looking for. The tiny home cabin was great for two adults and the entire kitchen/bathroom area was ready for me and my boyfriend when we arrived. I would definitely recommend to anyone

It is clear that Jennifer loves to host and she is very successful in her passion. From the welcome messages, to the extra supplies left around the house, everything is well thought out and useful. I really appreciated her simple and practical rules for checking out and using the space. We also found a delightful surprise of a short room just the right height for small children and an appropriate number of toys for them to use. I also really appreciated the tasteful decor that did NOT cover every space and the fact that decorative pillows did not cover every seating area. I really don't like having to move a ton of things to unpack and use the space and then worry about returning it to where I found it when checking out. Jennifer managed to decorate in a way that was lovely and still allowed you to use the space. It was a delightful place to stay and will absolutely return anytime I need to visit central PA.

A nice home with many activities if you choose to stay in. A great layout for a family of 4. Many unmaintained gravel dirt roads if you visit in the winter. We encountered iced over unpaved roads to reach nearby adventures. Advisable to have a capable vehicle to get the most out of the area in the colder months. It's right off a main local road, so it's not off grid secluded if that's what you're looking for. It is still a private feeling property. A college town is 30 minutes away if you need to stock up on anything or have a fast food craving, as well as a small grocery store and liquor store 5 minutes away. Host was very responsive and helpful. Definitely at the top of our list if we revisit the area.

My husband and I (and our two beagles) had a fantastic time staying here! We even extended our stay because the area and home was so great. I have no complaints, everything was perfect. We will def stay here again next time we're in town to see my in-law's. Zetta, thank you for everything!

We had a lovely time at Greg's place. He made sure to coordinate with us on the snow and we had no issues getting out even with weather. His place was spotless and very cozy. It was the perfect retreat we were looking for.

Merv was an excellent host! Very responsive and accommodating. What I enjoyed most was the peace and quiet in this area and the beautiful design of this unique home, great for a weekend getaway. Will definitely be back!

I have to say, this has been the best property I've stayed at so far! The cabin was beautiful and spotless, and I truly enjoyed my time there. I will definitely be coming back! Just a heads-up, it’s a good idea to have a four-wheel-drive car for the drive up the hill, but other than that, everything was a perfect 10/10. Sadie was so sweet and accommodating. Can’t wait to return!
