Beach house holiday rentals in Balestrate

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. We all absolutely loved Valeria’s home from the beginning. She is so warm and welcoming. Not overbearing and very helpful. We felt like we were staying with a caring family member. The home is expansive and has a terrific worldliness to it. From the balcony you can watch the world go by and then so easily engage with it. The most beautiful beach across the road. A fantastic gastronomical super deli within a 4 minute walk and a number of good quality restaurants nearby. The people of Mondello are wonderful and I would highly recommend this abode as a base for exploring Palermo and surrounds. We alternated between beach days and exploring days which suited the family perfectly. Do not hesitate to stay here. Thanks so much Valeria and Papa.

When you arrive at Alessio’s place you find an very clean & cosy home. The location, close to the beach and a short walk to the town center make for an easy stay. The simple furnishings both inside & out are perfect for a beach holiday. The outside space is large enough to feel private & roomy. The addition of air conditioning is a great bonus not always found. Staying at a place so close to the beach that you hear the waves, especially at night, is a lovely experience. Alessio is very kind, a good communicator & a really lovely host.

We had a great week. I recommend 100%. The house is exactly as described. A quiet place and close to everything at the same time, to visit Palermo or enjoy the surrounding nature. Thanks to Alessandro and his friend Mimmo for his hospitality.

If you’re looking for a modern home, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re looking for a mansion by the sea with classic old Italian style and an unbeatable location, this is the place for you. Giovanni even hooked us up with a private chef to come to the house for one night of our trip. There’s a coffee shop, restaurant and pharmacy all within a block. This house is perfect for a large group and Giovanni has excellent communication. Thanks for hosting us Giovanni! We had a wonderful time!

Bendetto and his family showed us real Sicilian hospitality! Amazing host and very helpful . The place is located in walking distance to the beach. The apartment is very spacious and everything needed is provided. We had a great time !

This place is truly a little gem. Has absolutely everything you need. Incredibly clean and looks brand new. Easy walk to the beach and even easier walk to restaurant and cure town center. We were only there for 3 nights but we could have easily stayed for our all vacation. If well ever spend time in San Vito lo capo, we’ll definitely stay at Antonia’s again

Ideally located for enjoying the sea (visible from the terrace) and the city (restaurants and others). Thanks to Margherita for allowing us to arrive before the scheduled time to drop off our suitcases. Please note that we were asked for a tourist tax of €3/night. Had the best time here! The place is amazing. It is a part of a very very beautiful resort, everything was clean and cozy The host was very nice and kind, the place has everything you need, the pool was great, the views are stunning and is close to a beautiful beach. Highly recommend.

We were a family of seven, grandparents, parents, three very active boys (ages 6-12). The owner and his wife were gracious hosts, greeting us with Easter time treats. The house and gardens are even more impressive than the description. Our beds were comfortable. The kitchens were well-equipped. We had a mishap and the host generously helped to solve it. You must have a car. The host can recommend excellent beaches and fun things to do We would love to return.

The place is an exceptionally good hit. Quiet, peaceful, clean and safe. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of space, great porch, comfortable large bedroom, air conditioners everywhere, large bathroom. The second bedroom is a compromise because of the lack of a window and therefore air, but we were a couple and we did not use it. Great location just 10 minutes drive from beautiful beaches and good restaurants. The pool is great with an amazing view. The parking lot is large and is an absolute convenience. The best service from Danilo, who took care of us in a perfect way with advice, delivered us coffee and breakfast in the morning and was always smiling and available. I 100% recommend this place!

Super kind and nice people. We arrived with public transportation, and they were so kind to pick us up at the train station, and leave us there again on the day of departure. The pool area was super. We only shared it with one other apartment, so plenty of room for all. We are a family of 5, kids aged 7, 11 and 13, and with a nice fishing village, lots of restaurants and beaches within 30 minutes walk, it was an ideal stay for us.

This is a fantastic villa, located in an excellent position for exploring the North West and Palermo. The town of Balestrate has good shops and restaurants and a couple of nice beaches...but is just out of reach of walking (the villa is on a fairly hilly lane with no pavement) and so a car is needed. It's a 'real' town rather than a heavily touristed place, which we loved - the restaurant were busy with locals and very good value as a result. The hosts were super-responsive and sent lots of recommendations and useful info, and were particularly helpful when our car broke down! There is so much to see in this part of Sicily and it's only 30 mins drive from Palermo Airport.

Everything was perfectly as advertised, perfect home for a family, super well equipped and central to visit the area. The hosts were super welcoming, responsive and flexible... thank you so much!!

We were very happy with the place. Plenty of space, beautiful location and very clean. Communication worked great. It is a bit difficult to reach without a car. Arrived at the property, we had fresh bread, eggs, jam, a few other little things and of course Italian lemons on the table. Thanks for that We recommend and would book again

The best option to enjoy Sicily. Apartment was clean, cosy, with good air conditioner, big bathroom, soft bed and kitchen with everything we need. There is small, but beautiful beach nearby, bakery, pizzeria, two places with ice cream. The place is safe and calm, and nothing can disturb you (maybe except dogs, but they are on private territory, so it's OK). It is better to rent a car to see other places here, because Uber is quite expensive, and it is the only problem. During our vacation Salvatore told us a lot about the region, helped to chose places to visit and gave a tip about local cuisine, which is really great. The host was ready to help in any time and we are thankful for such an attitude.

Federica and Marina's house is beautiful. The location is excellent to visit and get to know Palermo on a short way (also worth it several times) and the beautiful sandy beach of Mondello! Absolutely recommended!!! The property is idyllically located in a small fishing village ideal for relaxing and, for example, drinking a cappuccino by the harbor in the morning to watch the hustle and bustle of the fishermen. A small supermarket is right around the corner. Just like some good restaurants that Marina recommended to us. The contact was always friendly and helpful. The spacious house is lovingly decorated and has everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is very clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. And we also really liked the room layout. The terrace and the garden with sea view and the private sea access in summer definitely a highlight. All in all 100% recommended, for us the most beautiful area of Sicily.

We had a great stay in Mondello at Vincenzos place. Vincenzo was very accommodating and the house was spotless. The location in Mondello was great, a short walk from the beach with a shop and good restaurants in the area. I can highly recommend this place!

The property is a great starting point for day trips to Sicily. The good train connections to Palermo and the airport are an absolute plus. The house is quietly located in a residential area and the view from the roof to the sea is just great.

We had a wonderful stay at Daniella’s place. She was there to welcome us when we arrived, which made us feel right at home. The apartment is very spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you need: there are sun loungers on the balcony, a fully stocked kitchen, and even beach gear available. Daniella was always easy to reach and very helpful whenever we had questions. The location is also perfect—just a short drive from Palermo and close to the stunning Mondello Beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended!
