Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Ballstad

3 nights in this magnificent house with its sublime view of the fjord. The living room is so welcoming and relaxing. No need for a TV, just look outside and admire the beauty of the landscape. The house is large and well equipped, with a very functional kitchen. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. A stay at the top!

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is very lovingly and comfortably furnished. In good weather you can enjoy picturesque sunrises and northern lights, but even in snowstorms you have a good time by the fire. The location is perfect to explore Lofoten by car. Hans stopped by almost every day, cleared our way from the snow with his tractor, brought us new firewood and told interesting stories about the cabin, fishing and life in Lofoten. On the day of arrival, we arrived late at night by car, Elin and Hans surprised ourselves here with a lovingly prepared food plate. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime!

Wow! Perfect place for our family of four. The house was cozy and comfortable, kitchen and bathroom were nice size and finish. The property its self was so beautiful with such an idyllic backyard leading down to the fun and cozy boathouse where we hung out playing cards and enjoying the beautiful summer evening. The beach area was fun to explore. Quiet area, free from the traffic and crowds of Lofoten, beautiful mountains around and a few beaches up and down the road. Wish we had stayed longer! Can’t wait to come back and relax here again!

Ingrid and Eilert welcomed us so warmly and immediately had hiking tips for us! We immediately felt so comfortable that we extended the stay for a week! The Vesterals are beautiful and diverse. By car and on foot we explored the area and enjoyed nature, great beaches, eagles, moose, magnificent views from the mountains, berries galore and the northern lights from the balcony!!! Shopping quite close, museums are also not far away. Nice coffee and restaurant reachable in 10 minutes. Day trips to Lofoten are easily doable. The house is lovingly furnished. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable! A short place to stay! Highly recommended!! Thank you Ingrid and Eilert

If you think that the house looks good in the pictures, it’s even better in real. It has been an amazing cocoon, I could make it my dream home without changing a thing. It is very cosy to unwind after a day out (or for a day in if the weather is bad). Light a fire, put easily your music on the great sound system, lay down in the hammock or in the sofa, and just enjoy being in one of the most beautiful place in the world. The bed is soooo good, I slept like a baby. The house is situated in wild landscapes, this is just perfect to be a bit remote in the middle of the nature. I was lucky and saw amazing auroras the first night, directly from the terrace. The communication with Calum was perfect. It’s 10/10 and I will definitely come back here if I go again in the Lofoten.

Erna's family home is wonderful, and comfortable it feels like home. My kids loved being able to play quietly in the large lounge area flooded with light by the large glass vault that overlooks the garden and swing.

A fabulous house and a amazing location

As the first stop homestay in Norway, on a cold winter night, the 3 hour pitch black e10 road from the airport.We were greeted by a bright and warm room with a log scent.Fatigue! When we arrived, we saw the aurora in front of the door. So lucky! The view of the room is very good, the living room and every room are facing the sea. The kitchen is extraordinary and the utensils and seasonings are very complete.

What a beautiful apartment! We loved the layout, interior, and all the art. The kitchen had anything a cook would need and is equipped with modern appliances. The bedroom was great as well — by far the most comfortable bed we slept in during our travels around Norway. The apartment was the perfect place to wind down after a day of exploring the area. We were also able to watch the aurora from the apartment balcony, overlooking Henningsvær’s harbor. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, plus a well stocked grocery store. Easy parking right on site. We’d definitely stay here again! Thanks so much Marco!

Great location for visiting the west part of Lofoten. Historical fishing town that is worth the visit, just take into account that supermarkets are therefore a 20min drive away. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and bathroom (washing machine) as well as the elaborate hikes that are available in the area. Overall, we had a lovely stay.

Anne Marie‘s apartment had everything you could wish for. It was spacious, very clean, comfy and super quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped. You can park right in front of the apartment.

When we arrived, we were greeted by a smiling and gentle hostess who gave us the instructions we needed. The apartment really has soul in terms of design and interior. The firewall behind the oven was really a piece of art and there were lots of little touches around the apartment. The interior was characterized by reuse, which we like. We had a great time and would really recommend others to experience this.

We had a wonderful stay here. Everything was just as described and pictured. Elisabeth’s place was very comfortable, cozy, and warm. Our cat host was wonderful and super snuggly as well ☺️ Elisabeth was great at communicating and gave us lots of great suggestions. We were able to see the northern lights from the yard and the neighbor even gave us a great suggestion for a hike we did the next day. Would stay here again if we ever get the chance!

The place is charming, well equipped with a full kitchen, comfortable bathrooms, and a fire stove that makes the atmosphere even warmer. Everything was perfect for a moment of relaxation and connection with nature. We can't wait to come back!

The house is very well cared for and beautifully situated with great views and access to a cool walk along the water. It sits at the end of a road in a quirky local neighborhood. It has everything you need including a washer and dryer, a lovely modern bathroom with a large tub and separate shower. Great base to see lots of popular hikes. Also very close to the super cute village of Nusfjord. The only problem was staying up way too late each night to look out the windows.

We were unlucky with the weather but nonetheless had a really nice stay at Cathrine's lovely house. Found lots of tracks to hike in the neighbourhood. Great views when you get up high.

Great place to stay in the middle of nature. Has all required amenities and is well connected. Kenneth, our host was a stand out, that he was always responsive, took extra care and gave us safety precautions for driving and route suggestions especially as the weather was bad. Would love to visit again

We had a great stay in Eggum! We liked the peaceful location. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Our kid particularly enjoyed the toy trains when we were in the house :)
