Holiday rentals in Barrydale

We had a wonderful stay. It was very comfortable that a lot was provided, and that there even was waiting a snack platter and drinks. Surroundings are beautiful, with lots of possibilities for hikers.

We absolutely loved our long-weekend in this beautiful, comfortable cottage. It felt 100% like "home" with all the little comforts - there was not a single thing we could have needed that was not there. The kitchen was a dream to work in and we very much appreciated the lovely quality wine glasses, crockery, cutlery and sharp knives! We played Scrabble at the beautiful big dining table in the kitchen and we were lucky to be able to eat dinner outside on the verandah every evening. I loved the outdoor shower too! Definitely a weekend for the memory bank! Many thanks for sharing your wonderful space, Wesley.

We had a great time at François place. It is such a peaceful little village in the middle of nowhere with an amazing view to the mountains. If you want to escape the city life and connect back to nature this is the perfect place for it. They grow their own vegetables and you can also find some animals on the property. There are some trails to explore and also it is possible to reserve the Kolkol for one night and gaze at the mountains and the stars. Very special place built up with a lot of love.

What a beautiful setting being surrounded by orchads and the mountains. Great place to go to just switch off , relax and enjoy nature. Esti was a fantastic host and really accommodating.

Place was charming, with a warm welcome from Teri. Extra touches in the house - homemade cottage cheese, olives and crackers were delicious. Great local restaurant recommendations, included booking one for us on a busy long weekend. Very grateful. Super stay.

we loved it. here you really get down to gear, we enjoyed the view and the surroundings. fantastic nature wherever you look. the hosts were super friendly and helpful. we stayed two nights but would definitely recommend more nights so that you can really get all the impressions.

Situated right on the edge of the Krans Nature Reserve in McGregor, this cottage has the most incredible views over the natural landscape surrounding this sleepy village. We arrived to a rainy afternoon, but by the next day the weather had cleared and we were able to open the doors that run all along the one side of the cottage to really take in the scenery. We came to attend the Love Life Festival - a wonderful initiative to bring art, theatre and film to McGregor - and will definitely book this spot again in future.

The view. It was stunning!! Horses walking past early in evening, a little pond for the dogs to swim in, lovely walks in the evening 🌟 It was lovely and peaceful! Just a warning- one of the far away neighbours has a dog that’s seems pretty aggressive, if you’re taking a doggo, just beware of that one! But that’s no reflection on how amazing the accommodation was! I’ll be back!!!

The place is quiet and nice, surrounded by mountains. It feels peaceful and relaxing. The stars at night look amazing. Marinke was kind and very helpful.
