Villa holiday rentals in Basilicata

We spent 5 days in the accommodation. It is located in the quiet countryside, and above all perfect for shining throughout the tourist sites of the region. The place is quite recommendable for a family of 4 (I had read in a review that it was a little small for a family of four but it is not). Well equipped kitchen, everything was good for us, I would take over this accommodation without hesitation!

Enjoyed our stay for one week a lot. The place is high up on the hill above the town of Scario and is extremely peaceful and green. The view is unmatchable. We were also lucky with the weather. Simon has a very friendly approach, and the entry and exit were very personal with Diego and his wife’s presence. Nothing to complain about.

Beautiful stay with a great view of the city and bay. Spacious with good parking. Can very highly recommend. Just keep in mind there is no WiFi so cell service is a must. Would go back anytime.

It was perfect, we had everything we needed in this place. Very well equipped to cook, very quiet, in the countryside with a beautiful view on the Basilicate hills. Everything is offered to rest. Lively house, like at home. Basilicate is a beautiful area. There is no other accommodation in the house so you really are calm. The owners are very pleasant and welcoming people.

Such a nice view, incredible location right in the mountains between a few houses. Modern and clean apartment with cozy heated floor. We loved everything about our stay at Antonia’s place!

House immersed in the countryside, well equipped, with everything you need also for the kitchen, there is also a grill if you want, I only missed the microwave. The house is clean, recycling takes place, and in the courtyard you will find some cats to greet you, in addition to having a piece of land with olive trees and other trees. If you want to relax, it's the perfect place!

The views from villa are absolutely breathtaking. I loved the privacy and serene surroundings. The villa itself had country charm with modern amenities and was very clean. I loved the fruit trees and olive grove. We even picked a few limes to add to our water. Having a glass of wine on the veranda and taking in the scenery was the exact southern Italian getaway I had pictured. I read a previous review about bird droppings and bugs, I saw NONE of this. We would definitely return! Jessica was very helpful and gave great recommendations for local eateries. I would say that the town of Pisticci is a little jarring to drive in with narrow streets and cliffs, luckily the property itself is on the outskirts and you don’t have to drive through town to get there. At Jessicas recommendation we found grocery stores and bakeries in the near by towns of Tinchi and Marconia which were wonderful. Also would recommend Marbe as a great restaurant. We loved our stay!

An ideal place to enjoy a wonderful vacation should always begin with a friendly, accommodating, helpful host who greets you and immediately makes you feel welcomed and at home. Gianfranco is that kind of host. We were greeted by him and his lovely daughter and we knew at once that we were going to have a great vacation at “La Caprignola.” We were not disappointed. The house was immaculately clean, is very spacious, charmingly decorated and has every amenity you could want to make your stay comfortable and hassle free. No detail has been overlooked. The outdoor space, the garden and patio, is also very spacious with areas in which you can relax day and night and loads of space that our pet dog spent happy hours exploring. The house is totally private, surrounded by olive trees and abundant plantings. A perfect place to relax and though located in the countryside it is only a few minutes drive from the lively, historic and lovely town of Buccino where you will find anything you might need (markets, restaurants, bars, etc.). It is also ideally located for exploring the vast and beautiful Cilento with its breathtaking vistas; Basilicata; Salerno; Paestum; and any number of historic towns. Thank you Gianfranco for a great vacation. We look forward to returning.

The best part of this home is the breathtaking view from the huge lower terrace and the upper terrace. This is an amazing home - perfect for two families with a full kitchen and a full bath on each level. The bedrooms are large and have plenty of closet space. Alessandro and his brother were so gracious and left a large basket of pasta, sauce, cheese and other goodies for us to enjoy. We were lucky enough to be there when the oranges on the trees were ripe and we asked if we could pick some. Fresh OJ every morning!

Very nice house in a peaceful residence. We stayed there for one month in winter, we could imagine the atmosphere of the summer vacation. The accommodation is a 10-minute walk from the sea. However, beware of infrequent transportation (at least in the winter months). It's best to rent a car if you want to visit the area at your leisure. Otherwise everything has been perfect.

With Giovanni, you will find excellent hospitality, great kindness and generosity in a very pleasant estate and setting, amid olive trees, enchanting. Exemplary cleanliness, a very pleasant swimming pool and a very pleasant large space. The location is great because it's a good distance from all the places you have to see in Puglia. Frankly a place to recommend without restrictions and hosts who benefit from being known

This was our third visit to the property and it was exactly what we needed, as always. Beautiful surroundings, well-provisioned kitchen with plenty of space to eat and lovely large pool.

Thus is a great house to stay in and base yourself for a trip to Italy. Scario is a lovely town with all you need for a memorable holiday. Visits to Bosco and Dan Giovanni were nice. Wary drive from Naples. We visited Pompeii on way. We are a family of 7 and was lots of room. Pool (with diving) was great for the children (and adults 😀). We did need fans for first two nights but did not take away from a lovely stay. We would love to return and further explore all that the area offers knowing that we were staying in a fabulous house, chilled out, great views and comfortable.

Since our arrival, we were greeted with great kindness by Judith, who made our stay even more pleasant. The house is a real gem, full of light that fills your eyes and heart. The huge windows let the sun in, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in every room. The furnishings and decorative objects are simply wonderful, with details that make every corner unique and fascinating. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay, we fell in love with the house and its charm. It’s located in a quiet and peaceful area and close to Pisticci. We enjoyed our stay at Hildegun & Valles and will definitely be back
