Holiday rentals in Bergen

This is a real gem in the little village of Groet. The bus stop is right across from the house, which was extremely convenient with hourly bus service to Alkmaar. The kitchen had what we needed to cook a hot breakfast, and there was a coffee maker that had an integrated bean grinder which was appreciated (we bought beans). The house was a couple of minutes on foot from a bike rental place (open 7 days a week) and we enjoyed a beautiful day cycling around the dunes. We loved the rural feel of the place, there was farmland all around the villlage and traditional thatched houses. Having cycled through some of the other nearby villages, Groet had the nicest vibe, not too touristy or pretentious. The sleeping set up was as described, two single beds in a seperate room accessed through the main bedroom. Going to the bathroom in the middle of the night was a bit challenging getting down the ladder inthe dark, so a headlamp is recommended. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

Warm welcome and easy communication despite our very approximate English. Lydia is very nice and available. Nice place, close to the beach. Easy to access. No problem parking. Relatively easy access to AMSTERDAM, either by train (but relatively expensive for a family of 4) or by car to SLOTERDIJK's P+R (much more economical, convenient and no longer). Easy outreach to Zaanse Schans mills or Keukenhof Gardens for those who want to do a bit of sightseeing. Well equipped and functional apartment for a short trip, rather for a family with children than for two couples - only one single room, the other two beds are on the 1st, after a relatively narrow staircase, without real separation from the ground floor stay - but this is easily managed. Only downside, the bathroom is a little narrow, but the shower is fine. Recommended. We enjoyed it a lot. Thanks to Lydia.

It was a wonderful stay

Esther's cottage is really cuddly. Perfect for two people. Couch, dining table, kitchen (with everything you need, incl. Coffee and tea!), bathroom, bedroom and small outdoor area. In the summer, if no direct sun comes in, certainly very pleasant in the shade. Two bikes can also be rented and you are quickly on the beach and in the city (Schoorl and Alkmaar are just a stone's throw away).

We had a really nice time at the Waterput. The apartment is comfortable, neat and tastefully furnished. With all the comforts, with nice beds. For us the perfect base to explore Bergen and the beautiful surroundings! Rob and his wife are warm hosts, we'd love to come back.

The beach house of Els & Matthijs was as described in the listing. It is very comfortably furnished and there was nothing missing. Very good location: the shopping street and the beach are just a few minutes away. Nevertheless, the place is very quiet and even has a small terrace. Els & Matthijs are very available and very helpful. I will be more than happy to come back!

How we enjoyed 3 days in the Leemhuis A very nice house with also enough space outside to enjoy the dune garden. Everything was present and the space turned out to be even bigger and brighter than we expect from the photos. Lovely shower, nice kitchen and a cozy sitting. We had a great time!

A really great and modern apartment, very good location, within walking distance of everything. Kitchen also equipped with everything you need. I would like to emphasize the communication in advance, for me as an Airbnb novice, all questions were answered and simple and clear instructions for check-in and check-out were communicated. Thanks so much for this. We are 100% happy to recommend it.
