Holiday rentals in Blackey

The place was absolutely amazing, Jackie went above and beyond for us ! Everything was beautiful, clean bedrooms, clean living room, clean bathroom, even clean hot tub ! Everything was basically brand new, barely touched !! Jackie also had everything we ended up needing, we did not have to spend any extra money on dishes or cutlery it was already there! We also were very thankful for the cleaning products she left for us ! Thank you Jackie we will be returning!

Overall great place at a great price! Cannot beat this price for this large of a place that is for sure! Amenities were awesome and the town was great to be able to walk to everything. The overlook was beautiful. Only thing was that the grill main burner did not work as it leaked out the sides and did not ignite with the igniter, maybe just need to replace it but the kitchen hood greatly made up for it and allowed us to cook burgers and steaks inside no problem. Thank you so much! Looking forward to staying in the future if available.

We had a peaceful & relaxing stay. The home was clean & had lots of extras such as laundry detergent, toiletries, cookware, bedding, etc. Our dogs enjoyed exploring the large field & hills surrounding the cottage. The host was also gracious enough to leave complimentary breakfast food in the fridge! James is a very responsive & thoughtful host.

The only issue we had with the stay, was the GPS pin drop of the cabin location. Two of our phones took us directly to the place without any issues, however, two of our phones took us approximately eight minutes away to another person house. I’m sure it was just the cellular network that was showing the gps pin drop in the wrong location. Overall it was a great place to stay and worth the money

We can’t say enough great things about Lindsay and this house - it was the perfect home base for our long weekend or climbing and relaxing. The beds and living room were quite comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for multiple meal preps. There was even a hangboard between the living room and kitchen that our kids couldn’t resist! But the best thing of all was how helpful and welcoming Lindsay was - offering advice, keeping us up to date on options for early arrival and late departure, checking on whether we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back!

Another peaceful weekend in Red River Gorge. This was our second stay at Margo's and this time we never left the house. Peace and quiet is what we wanted and peace and quiet is exactly what we got. All we did was eat, watch movies, sit in the hot tub and sleep. A very relaxing weekend. My wife loved the new master bathroom and enjoyed a long soak in the bath tub. Personally, I love the privacy. I saw one car and one horse over our three day stay. It was like having RRG all to yourself. If you're reading the reviews to help with your decision making let me help by saying: You will have plenty of privacy whether you're inside or outside. You're 20 minutes away from Hollerwood. You're 30 minutes or less from Gorge Underground. Bring your groceries because there's absolutely nothing close. The wifi is fast and reliable. The house and grounds are clean. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets. All the furniture is cozy. Streaming services connect easily. And the host is absolutely amazing.

We went to mill lake, the gorg, Daniel boone, sky bridge, natural bridge, nada tunnel. Everything is only 20 or so minutes away. There’s a dollar general 10 min away or Kroger 30min away. We felt right at home and enjoyed the location.

This was a perfect winter getaway. The ambiance was better than even the pictures let on. The cabin was cozy and everything felt very secluded. The hot tub right on the pond with the night sky was a magical scene!
