This was our second time staying here, and it truly is a piece of heaven on the island. The setting is private, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful with amazing access to the east coast. The home is comfortable and well-kept, and the surrounding nature makes it feel like a true escape. The host and the entire team are incredibly helpful and kind. A special mention to Ouma, whose home-cooked meals are a real treat, absolutely delicious and delivered right to the house in generous portions! The beach is stunning, and there are lovely snorkeling opportunities just a short stroll away. We always leave feeling refreshed and grateful. Can’t wait to return again!

A really helpful host

The owners were helpful, explaining everything and very friendly. The place was clean, peaceful and just like the description. The views were beautiful with easy access to the sea. Will definitely go again!

Anil’s beach house was the perfect place for us and our friends to chill out and explore Mauritius. It was extremely practical, homely and also well located in a quiet part of western Mauritius without being too far away from everything. Having access to a car was an absolute bonus as we could do our day trips together or separately and come and go as we please. Anil was so generous with providing pizza and some cold beers on our arrival. He also made a huge effort to provide information on sites to see and places to eat, etc. The bedding, the linen, the kitchen, facilities, and equipment were all second to none. We also had access to a kayak and paddleboard, which was fun to see the dolphins just off the beach. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

A house located in the heart of the village of Trou d 'Freshwater, just over a hundred meters from the pier; This allowed me to end my stay, renting 4 nights, totally immersed in the heart of Mauritian life, exactly what I was looking for for my stay disconnection to discover Mauritius, outside tourist buildings. Marie was extremely responsive, having booked a few hours before my arrival; the communication is excellent, and the description communicated to get to the accommodation is perfect, to find this house in the heart of the village, with a convenient parking space; if necessary there is always space on the street. The house has two terraces, where it was good to have lunch, eat, read, while being bathed in the atmosphere of the neighborhood; the neighbors are very warm and welcoming. We loved the place. Starting with contacting Kamlesh. Since our flight landed very early, he met with us earlier and so we could relax a little in his apartment until our apartment was finished cleaning. The apartment was exactly as described in the photos, the residential complex itself is a bit older, but the apartment itself is very well maintained. In the off-season, a maximum of five apartments were occupied. The pool was always empty, but very nice to swim a few laps. The beach at your doorstep is suitable for walking, less so for swimming (low water level), but there are enough beautiful beaches in the area. The national park can be reached in 30 minutes by car. There are very nice hiking trails. Driving is no problem on the island.

We had an absolute wonderful time at this penthouse, right at the beach. Location: The east side of Mauritius was stunning beautiful. Weather: We were at the end of February. Almost always sunny. Sometimes a brief period of tropical rain. We found that very refreshing. Quiet: we only heard tropical birds from the apartment. It was absolutely quiet. Apartment: The most stunning holiday home I have ever been. Spacious, stylush decorated. The terrace was enormous with a breath taking view. Clean: The apartment was spotless. Cleaning lady comes daily except for Sunday. She really respected our privacy. To do: There is much to do on Mauritius. The nearby resorts offer beautiful restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just make a reservation. There is also a private cook (very affordable), but we did not make use of it. Swimming pool: The swimming pool is shared, but practically it is private as it only used a few times a day by other residents. Host: Very kind and responsive.
