Family-friendly holiday rentals in Bodega Harbor

Allen’s place very cute and at a good location in Santa Rosa. It was very nice to be close to Santa Rosa amenities and close to wine country. The hot tub was also very nice. We would stay again.

We had an excellent stay, and our family trip to Sonoma and Napa Valley was fabulous! We definitely would stay here again.

Mary's cottage was the perfect retreat for two friends reconnecting after years without seeing each other. It has a rustic forest feel but was also super clean and comfy. An easy drive into Guerneville (probably walkable in summer, though you would be walking on a main road/highway) and just minutes from Armstrong Redwoods, plus it's not far from many other cute little towns and wineries throughout the area. From the photos, we thought there would be more space outside to sit among the trees and feel like we were in the forest, but it is on a small road with houses close by, so not as "forested" as the photos make it appear. Still, you are surrounded by redwoods, and there's the hot tub, two very comfortable bedrooms (one with its own small bathroom), and a very comfy couch with a great TV. (Did I use the word "comfy" several times? Well, you get the point.) Mary is a wonderful host and super responsive, too.

We enjoyed our stay here! Nice place surrounded by beautiful trees and has really pretty sky lights. Place was clean and instructions given for check in were detailed and easy to follow. Griselda is very kind and easy to work with. We had an incident where the dishwasher stopped working and she had a repair person come in the next hour. Very responsive and kindly offered both late check out and early check in. Would recommend and stay here again!

The place was exactly like the picture showed. The house has lots of space very comfortable. We enjoy so much the playroom and it’s huge. The location of the house was fantastic right in the center of everything. Very well equipped kitchen and the beds was superb. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

My little family was in desperate need of a getaway and some quality family time. Jeannette's house was just what we needed. It was a cold and wet weekend in Rio Nido, but that was fine by us. The surrounding area is so beautiful and peaceful, and we had the most lovely dog walks exploring the area. The home itself was incredibly comfortable and cozy and had everything we needed. The heated blankets were a nice touch! We made excellent use of the hot tub, and spied some cool wildlife from our very comfortable position in the jacuzzi. My daughter was very excited for the hot cocoa K-cup pods and I certainly appreciated the coffee options. The neighborhood was very quiet (I'm guessing because we were there in Feb. and not the more popular summer season). Having the Roadhouse so close was convenient, but we mostly did our own cooking. Friendly heads up that the smoke detectors are very sensitive (a good thing!) so turn on fan and open windows before cooking on the stove! :)

Beautiful and peaceful cottage on the river! Everything was just as pictured, with warm designer touches. The hot tub was wonderfully clean, and the linens were crisp and fresh. Second (outdoor) bathroom and shower downstairs was a great surprise. Fireplace was lovely. A really well managed property in a unique location. Try ziplining, or an in-house massage :). Loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Heather and John were super responsive and proactive, providing detailed instructions and a thorough list of local recommendations. The space is clean, well appointed, and stocked with everything you need to feel at home! The outdoor living area was such a bonus - we wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Absolutely stunning view and very private location. Plenty of room for our group and we especially appreciated the dog run off the master bedroom for convenience for our pup. The house has everything you need and the upstairs living areas are a bit more updated. Very comfortable to hang out and just enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. The deck was perfect. Host was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.

Perfect place! Clean and comfortable. Good location. Linda was communicative and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

This review is actually from my husband (we booked his stay through my Airbnb account): My second stay here with just a 2 day break in between, 7+ weeks in all at Amy’s and Edgar’s. Lovely people. Very welcoming. Everything I needed to be comfortable and functional - including remote work situation - and great hiking just outside the door, during a particularly stressful period in my life.

Really lovely, stylish, cozy, and comfortable! The bed was super comfortable. We loved staying there and trying the recommendations.

We were looking for a place that was dog friendly, private and peaceful , in a scenic area and fun for our family of 4. Sweet Creek delivered. We wish we could have stayed longer but the one night we were there was special for our family and Cookie was a super gracious host. Thanks.

This place was just what I needed for a short writing retreat. Clean and spacious and private, with beautiful surroundings. There’s a beautiful beach within walking distance and a nice market with a deli. Camille made a point to give clear descriptions of the place ahead of time, which is important to note, mainly because there’s no kitchen so it’s necessary to prepare for food prep (there’s a hot plate, microwave, toaster, and tea kettle). It’s totally adequate and organized, as long as you don’t show up expecting a full kitchen. I would certainly do another writing getaway here in the future.

We’ve just returned from spending a wonderful week in Heron House at The Sea Ranch. For those readers in a hurry, let me simply say that we will book this home again. We would recommend Heron House, without reservation, to our best friends. I don’t think we found anything wrong with the house and its amenities. Indeed, we have never stayed in a rental house that was nicer or that had more of the conveniences that make this a home, not just a place to stay. The views of the ocean are stunning from the deck and living room, and there is a back deck that is peacefully pointed toward the trees that line the Northern end of Sea Ranch. We haven’t stayed anywhere that had a better equipped kitchen. The bathrooms were spotless, as was the rest of the house, and big walk-in showers were available in both bedrooms. I’m looking at our calendar now to see when we have the time to visit again.

Our stay at this exquisite and luxurious home was simply divine. Its prime location afforded us effortless access to the renowned wineries and tasting rooms of Lasseter, Beltane, Imagery, Benzinger, and Tailsman. The convenience of a local grocery store, delightful restaurants, and a charming French bakery, all within walking distance, further enhanced our experience. The generously sized hot tub, impeccably clean and perfectly heated, provided blissful relaxation. The beautifully landscaped yard, complete with the soothing sounds of the creek, created a truly magical and restorative ambiance. Every detail of our visit was flawless, exceeding all expectations. We eagerly anticipate our return to this haven of tranquility.

Adam and Eli were great communicators. Anytime we needed something, they were responsive and helpful. The space is beautiful, with great views and a location right in the middle of the mountains. If you're looking to stay away from the city but still close enough to get there, this is a perfect spot (it normally took us 25 to 30 minutes, depending on where in the city). It's also really close to Sausalito (even closer) and great spots like Muir Woods (I think that was a 15-minute drive). We were really happy because we also visited Sonoma, and it wasn’t far either. The location is in the middle of all the great things—a perfect combination for someone looking for a trip with nature and easy access to the city and nearby towns. Lots of great food around the area, a clean cabin space, cookware provided, the sauna is SO GOOD, and overall, amazing hosts! 5 stars.

Gina’s place is a sanctuary. The views are absolutely stunning and you feel transported, like you’ve gone to a tropical paradise. Everything was spotless and beautiful and at the same time cozy. I could not recommend this place enough.

The most incredible home and location!! So far exceeded our expectations!! The setting was gorgeous and serene and perfectly located - short drive to amazing restaurants and vineyards!! We’re already searching for our next opportunity to visit this amazing property!! Couldn’t recommend it more!!!

This was ideal home for we five friends looking to enjoy wine tasting, great restaurants, shopping, cooking in-house, spacious rooms. Large attractive table for meals; cozy kitchen nook with afternoon sun; living room ideal for relaxing and playing charades. For the reasonable extra fee, we enjoyed the warm pool in cold winter. Beds were comfy-so important. Nice to have the 2 bathrooms. Located just under 2 miles from Sonoma Plaza and close to local wineries. Nearby- outstanding Sonoma Market for fresh everything. Quick communication from host.

It was a great place. Really enjoyed the peaceful and ability to work and relax. Places to eat and get food were close by. Everything was easy to use. Really would come back if time permits.

Great place to be especially if you like to walk/hike (forest, beach, pool) and don't mind going uphill. The view is also great as this house is high above the ocean.
