Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bogue Sound

We enjoyed our Light and Bright at Pook's Place stay for our weekend getaway! Upon arriving we were pleasantly surprised with a welcome sign and balloons to celebrate one of our family member's birthdays! Also, our pup enjoyed the treats! The home was roomy and the location was private and peaceful. As it was such a windy weekend, the nights and mornings were chilly. We enjoyed driving to different beaches and visiting Fort Macon, as well as experiencing a variety of restaurants in the area. Thanks so much for everything Aaron! This was a memorable experience.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very spacious, the kitchen had everything & then some more (we love to cook). Nice quiet neighborhood, we took walks around. It's a 15 minute drive to the first public beach access on Emerald Isle, which is a big plus. We'll stay again sometime.

Loved that there were toys in place for the kids to play with. We also appreciated the toddler toilet that was provided as well. The supplied coffee maker was also a nice addition. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for opening your home to us we enjoyed our stay! We were in town for our Marine son and daughter in laws baby shower and it was such a good trip.

It’s always good when you can find a place like home when you are away from home. Patricia and David were great host. I would recommend them and book with them again in the future.

Very satisfied with the host we had a little hiccup, but they were right on top of it. Great communication, the whole step of the way. Everything about the trip was great. Had enough space for me and my family to enjoy our Christmas dinner and to run and play with the kids and the dog in the yard, very quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors

Mary’s airbnb was a perfect restful landing pad for our family while we moved our daughter in nearby. It is comfortable and spacious with extra perks like a screened in patio for sipping coffee and listening to the birds in the morning. We enjoyed a breakfast place and farmers market with in a couple minutes of the bnb and also love that it was only a 15-20 min drive to the beach.

Shanon’s place was so cute and comfortable. The house is located in a neighborhood that feels very safe. We took a walk and everyone that passed by waved and smiled. The house was very clean and updated. The kitchen was fully stocked. We had everything to cook meals. Our two teens loved the game room. We felt close to the beach, the bases, and shopping. We really enjoyed the place and highly recommend and hope to come back.

Very spacious getaway cottage situated close to amazing views. Very impressed with the bathroom amenities and size of bathroom. The locals in Beaufort are far the kindest souls on the planet. Very pleased with my experience.

This is the second time we have stayed with this company, the first was at the Key West location in a Surf City. Surf City is a place time and time again we chose to come back to, but we have found that these specific properties are the BEST! They’re so accommodating and we opted for this one this time and it was beyond worth it and seamless. As always, the host was clear, nice, and accommodating! Highly recommend staying here, you can’t beat the location!

We only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 4 and there was enough space for us. My boys enjoyed the pool even though the water was still a bit cold. We loved sitting on the dock in the morning and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Such a perfect location!! Right behind Middle street so it’s a nice quick walk to all the joy downtown New Bern has to offer. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

We’ve stayed at this location a number of times, always a great stay; that’s why we look for it every time we come to Morehead. This was our first visit since the remodel/reno work has been done. This place was perfect for our family weekend getaway. The place was spotless when we got there, cleaner than most hotels we’ve stayed at lately.. The location was perfect with lots to do around in Atlantic beach, Beaufort, Morehead City, and Emerald Isle. The beach was such a short easy walk away. Teresa & Ted were great host, very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend to stay here, will definitely stay here again!

we couldn't have been any happier at the Emerald Mermaid! lovely space with all the necessities: kitchenette, bed, nice size bathroom and a sitting area with comfy chairs! The beach is just a few blocks away! also loved the artwork and "ocean" touches!

We just completed our third stay with Marilyn. Our family absolutely loves this spot. It's so nice that our family of 6 can fit fairly comfortably and it's especially great that there are two full bathrooms. We also love how well kept the property grounds are, as well as how easy it is to get to the beach. We just got home a little while ago and my 4 teens are already talking about planning our next trip! Thank you Marilyn!

Very nice place and the bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of extras and it was a short walk to the beach. The area was very clean and very safe feeling. Grocery store, restaurants ice cream souvenirs all within a mile away. Host was excellent, in communication and very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Diane’s condo was absolutely amazing. The ocean view was spectacular. The condo was spacious, uncluttered, and exceptionally clean. Diane was extremely easy to communicate with and responded quickly to all of my emails. I would definitely chose to stay at Diane’s property again.

Anita’s condo had every amenity you could think of! Beautiful furnishings, view and location. Our first time renting with Airbnb and as frequent travelers it will not be our last. Anita definitely has her act together and it showed! Could not have been more pleased with our weekend experience. We hope to return next year and use Anita and her wonderful condo. We even got to watch dolphins from her balcony. So glad we went.

We loved our stay at the beach! This was perfect, exactly what we were hoping for, beach accessibility by board walk, a nice pool (2), and close enough to see the water from the condo. Felt like our own little home. Having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great with our son with. Having a washer and dryer was so convenient! We did notice there was washer and dryers by the pool for community use also. The whole Southwinds area was clean and well maintained. Even the pool bathrooms were clean. There is also a great selection of beach supplies, books and cards to keep you entertained. We would definitely visit again if we come back to the area!

This place had it all and I felt right at home. The building is between the sound and the ocean side. Felt like they were both in my backyard. The unit does not have a view but the complex had so many places to sit, swing, eat and had several grills for use. Cary was amazing and was always available if needed!! Will def come here again soon!!
