Cabin holiday rentals in Bowstring Lake

We had a wonderful time swimming, fishing off the dock (caught a nice sized large mouth bass & panfish) and boating. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayak and screened in porch. We used the fire pit one night before the mosquitoes came out. We didn’t use the hot tub. We rented a pontoon from Brett at Island View Resort. He also sold bait, gas and a map of the lake with tips for fishing the lake. We caught crappies, bass, panfish and northern. The bunkhouse was prefect for our two boys. Our daughter enjoyed the loft room. It was nice that there were 2 fans. The kitchen was well equipped and we liked having a large electric skillet. Didn’t use the washing machine except for washing the towels before we checked out. The beds were comfortable. We also liked the large dining room table -used it to play games in the evening. We’d definitely recommend getting peanut butter twists from Pattens restaurant in Orr. It was a very relaxing vacation. We’d definitely rent it again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for Valentine’s Day weekend and it was so relaxing and peaceful. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for a cozy weekend in!

The home was so comfy with thoughtful details to make each area of the home just perfect. We loved all the special decor touches. We went to relax and got that for sure. Deer coming into the yard while we were using the outdoor hot tub was an unexpected delight.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for our annual getaway, and it was perfect for us! Amy's home is spacious, peaceful, and quiet. We used the sauna and hot tub, which were great. Amy was communicative and accommodating. We will be back!

Great cabin with ample space. Peaceful, scenic, and great area. Unfortunately our week was super cold but we enjoyed relaxing inside and using hot tub. Nathan was very responsive and kind neighbors came to our rescue when truck wouldn’t start due to the cold!

Fantastic place with all the amenities you could want, spacious and well designed cabin. Evan and Annie were extremely responsive and accommodating as well.

We had a lot of fun staying at this place. With being in the bay it is very quiet from the rest of the lake. The hot tub is wonderful and cool to see the lake as well. The stairs and deck can be slippery with kids so be careful.

Cabin was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, spacious, and well-stocked. We very much enjoyed our winter stay with gorgeous views of the sunrise and sunset on the lake through the large windows. Even though the cabin had nearby neighbors, it felt secluded and private. Nisswa is a cute little lake town that we loved exploring. Danielle was kind and responsive as well. We had a wonderful stay and would love to visit again!

The place was beautiful, super clean, and cozy. It was perfect for our girls book club weekend. We spent the weekend reading and just hanging out, so this was absolutely perfect! Would totally stay again especially when the weather is nicer so we could enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces! Host was very responsive and helpful! 10/10 would recommend!

This rustic cabin is in a beautiful, private area with amazing lake views from both decks. We really enjoyed the serene location and the large living room to have family over. James was a responsive and kind host, would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lakeside cabin. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The lake was peaceful and serene, great for boating on the included pontoon boat or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the lake. Our kids loved exploring the shoreline and fishing off the dock. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a tranquil family vacation.

They responded right away when we had questions. The place was clean and had the amenities that we needed for cooking. The only thing I will say is that the roku doesn't work the best. It is nice to have that when its winter time.

Perfect two bedroom cabin on the lake! My husband slept 15 hours, the bed was THAT comfortable and after an 11 hr drive, he needed the rest. The host thought about every need guests would have and even when the area power went out briefly, she was proactive and kept us up to date. (It was an issue in the community not just the cabin.) The kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee bar was so cute! We wanna come back in the summer and take advantage of the kayaks on the lake and go swimming! We loved it was pet friendly for our two small dogs and they felt right at home. WiFi worked great and so did the tv. Next time I’m bringing binoculars. I was told there are swans on the lake. We heard honking but couldn’t get a close look. The lake view was beautiful and the water froze over in the 2 degree weather. Our family cannot wait to come back. You will get your steps in going up the hill to parking spot. 10/10 in our book! Will book again! ~Indiana family

Margo was a fabulous host and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous! Rustic soundings with a well equipped cabin full of small touches that show what a thoughtful host we had. We went snowshoeing, bird watched, enjoyed the dvd and book collection, cooked great meals in the excellent kitchen, read by the fire, and relaxed in the jet tub. Margo also made our dog Roderick feel equally welcome with a dog bed and bowls and easy covers for the furniture so he could sit with us. We cannot recommend Margo and her cabin highly enough!

Very nice place. We liked the two levels so the younger generation could hang out and enjoy their own space!

It was my second time making a trip up to Josh's place. Such beautiful and peaceful cabin and in a great location. All the amenities of home and right down the road from Red Lake. Would highly recommend to those planning a trip to fish Red Lake.

This was my second stay here. Check-in was a breeze, the cabin was well stocked and clean. Pretty much everything you would need was supplied as far as cooking and eating needs were concerned. We had a very comfortable stay. The host communicated very well and promptly. 5 stars all away around

Great place.. a little chilly in the winter, but comfortable. Most everything we needed was provided. Host was responsive when we had trouble getting into the cabin on our last night. Overall, a wonderful place!

This is a perfect north woods getaway! The cabin is a great mix of old and new. The lot is exquisite — studded with mature pines. My favorite part is the sauna — steps from the lake! Bass Lake is very quiet so enjoy and relax!

We had a wonderful weekend stay in the quaint cabin in the woods, and our expectations were beyond exceeded. The cabin was cozy, warm and welcoming, and was set up just right for us to enjoy our weekend. Would definitely consider coming back. We love the area and the peaceful vibes.
