Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Cairns

Platypus Retreat is everything it says and more. Secluded, romantic, beautiful. We picked up Groceries before we arrived, but found out when we got there that we didn’t need as much as we thought. Condiments, tomato sauce, salad dressing, butter, all sorts of spices were all there. While we had a bit of trouble using the oven, it was no problem- we used the bbq instead. We arrived to music playing softly and homemade bread. Just wow. And there was complimentary milk as well. Oh- and as true Americans, we fully appreciated the ice machine. The pool was delightful, albeit slightly chilly for us. We could have asked Gemma to adjust, but it was our last night and we just relaxed in the spa instead- as the rain fell and the local animal life were serenaded us. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing way to end our whirlwind trip to AU.

We had a lovely stay at Helen’s Brinsmead house. It is a stunning location and truly feels like a retreat nestled in the hills around Cairns. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including snacks, fresh fruit, milk, a fresh loaf of bread and butter to get us started when we arrived. We enjoyed a lot of time on the beautiful and spacious decks that the house offers, and made good use of the barbecue. Helen was a fantastic host who left easy to follow instructions for our arrival and departure. We will definitely consider another stay here in the future!

Family vacation 12 of us, 6 adults & 6 kids. Great area convenient to so many spots - snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rain Forest, Koala Gardens, Skytrain to Kuranda, Crystal Cascade, and many more. Size of house was perfect for everyone to have a comfortable area. Pool was used constantly in use as it is box jellyfish season in Cairns area during the summer and we did have a couple of torrential rainstorms, didn’t stop having fun. Very safe and secure location with easy walk to shops, restaurants, and beach. Perfect for us and we will cherish the memories we made here CHRISTMAS 2024

What an amazing home in the jungle. The garden is stunning, as is the view of it from the bedroom. Great base to come ‘home’ to after a busy day. We certainly felt comfortable in Colin’s home away from home. Colin couldn’t have been more helpful! With brilliant recommendations that certainly helped make our trip a more fabulous one. Thank you so much Colin for hosting us in your gorgeous home.

The place was so beautiful and spacious, very good if you’re travelling with a big family. Clean as well. Jane is a great communicator, answered to queries very quickly. I have an amazing stay I felt right at home and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and clean place to stay. Great location too. If Jane wants to improve l encourage a smart tv in the living room area, however if you’re planning to stay there definitely bring something you can watch on your laptop or a projector for entertainment. Other than that beautiful place!!!

Susie was a great host, with a beautiful facility. The house was designed beautifully, with comfy beds and lovely decorations. We were worried about the heat due to travelling in late January however, the aircon worked perfectly and kept the house cool.

SUNDREAM is an absolutely beautiful property. Whether the weather is good or bad the view is truly spectacular. The house is very open and light, and the upstairs main bedroom is a dream. The host was extremely friendly, responsive and helpful. The only downside was the lack of blockout blinds or curtains in the bedrooms. This made getting my little one to sleep very difficult, so having the option to have the room dark would have been great. Overall I would highly recommend this property ☺️

It was a beautiful relaxing place. Loved feeding the wild bird's and the pademelons came up every afternoon for a feed. Lovely gardens,good walks around the streets and down to the dam.Bed very comfortable, big spa bath and shower,lgreat kitchen with everything you need. Deck was where we spent alot of time enjoying the surroundings. Breakfast provided was good and would recommend if you want a very peaceful break. And host was very friendly and helpful.

The unit was clean and tidy and in the heart of Yungaburra. We enjoyed the spa ... the kids that is ..... and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely week at Maree’s Villa. We loved the location in the Sea temple. right on the beach you could hear the waves at night. right next to the pool which served cocktails and happy hour and a stones throw from the restaurant. In the resort. It was perfect for our family with teenage kids they could swim in the pool, or go to beach, any time they liked. We dined at the restaurant several nights. We didn’t use the plunge pool in the Villa it was too cold. Welcome platter and drinks on arrival were so lovely, especially after a 3 hour flight. beds were good but probably a better selection of pillows would improve sleep quality. We found the furnishings in the Villa luxurious but the pillows didn’t match same quality. would benefit from an upgrade or adding a few more. air conditioner was also extremely loud at night. maybe due for maintenance? Overall it was a lovely stay and would recommend to others.

would love to stay here again it’s so cosy but a luxurious feeling especially in the spa watching a movie very relaxing loved it 10 outta 10 !!

Had the most peaceful and beautiful stay here! Felt secure and secluded in the hills and amongst the nature. I enjoyed the mountain view, fireplace, outdoor bath and the wide variety of plants surrounding the house. Highly recommend this stay <3
