Cottage holiday rentals in Caister-on-Sea

Had a lovely stay a great host very responsive, clean and tidy cottage , exactly what we expected and had hoped for , for a quiet and cosy weekend break. Couldn’t ask for more.

The family had a lovely break here, a short drive from Norwich Showground where we attended an event but far enough away for peace and quiet… lovely walks… excellent pub Kings Arms local for dinner. Everything needed was in the lodge including a very appreciated ‘welcome pack’ to start us off on arrival. Highly recommend and hope to return again.

Was isolated and total bliss. The main bed was luxurious. There has been a refurb so everything is new. The hot tub was a fantastic way to end the day too. We did lots of walking and the surrounding area was perfect for us. Also perfect for our dog Molly. Highly recommended.

We spent a lovely extended weekend at the barn visiting our family in Norfolk. The barn was clean, warm and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Jill and Phil were friendly and welcoming and check-in and check-out were easy. The super-king sized bed was comfy and the hot tub was an added bonus after a busy couple of days with the grandchildren.

Lovely cosy cottage located close to all the shops and restaurants in Holt. Cosy beds and sofa. Great to have a drive to park the car, and easy to get to lots of great locations for walking and the beach. We didn’t use the hot tub as it didn’t feel like it was in a private enough spot, but this is just personal preference. Great hosts, thank you so much.

The property was in superb condition, spotless and immaculately clean and presented. All fixtures and fittings were of great quality and there was a lovely welcome pack to greet us, containing local cakes, biscuits and so forth. We met Cindy and her husband Mark when they came to service the hot tub and they are delightful people. We spent time chatting during which they recommended restaurants, one of which we used (Buckinghamshire Arms) where we enjoyed Sunday lunch. Overall, a great experience, top notch Airbnb.

Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped cottage with lovely surroundings. Dog friendly too. Great to see such well cared for and happy hens wandering around too.

Just as it's pictured, weather was kind and made the house even more inviting. I was wowed when we pulled up the drive! I did have to check that I had booked somewhere with a secure garden and was pleasantly surprised once we turned up and saw the gardens, low fences but held in 3 springy Frenchies with no issues. Everything you need and more. Lots of lovely villages to visit. Dog walks on the doorstep. Already looking at when we can book again. Even considering hiring a boat too. Liz was great with instructions and local information. Highly recommend the Thatch cottage.

A beautiful cottage in the perfect location. 20-30 mins from every major place you could want to go. Cosy and homely with a lovely sunny garden. Private and secure, a real Norfolk countryside stay! We loved our stay, everything we needed was provided and Scott gave us all the information we needed to allow easy check in. We can’t wait to come back again, hopefully for longer next time. Very cosy and relaxing. Loved the wood burner. Great for the dogs. Lovely walk to the beach and call in to the pub on the way home

Just loved everything about this little place. The property was spacious yet cosy. Everything anyone could need was provided and parking just outside the door was so convenient.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. 3 pubs and a grocery shop just around the corner. Walking distance to a beautiful sandy beach. Cromer was a brisk 30 minute walk away. We cooked in the cottage every night and there was everything we needed. Beautiful touches upon arrival which included a pack of hot cross buns and a vase of fresh daffodils. Accommodation manual was comprehensive and included numerous local recommendations. Beds were super comfy and I had 5 nights of perfect sleep. I was worried about parking but we always found a space directly outside the cottage. I would 100% recommend The Old Smoke House and will 100% stay again.

A lovely place to stay and explore this part of Norfolk. We enjoyed having the beach right behind the cottage and regularly saw a seal close to the shore. It was so handy being able to walk back to the cottage to grab food and drinks or pop to the beach first or last thing without getting in the car. Having bikes was great as we enjoyed cycling to Sea Palling. Beds comfy, sofa with farm scenery was great for chilling, good WiFi, dog friendly and a secure garden - this cottage had it all.

A beautiful house in a lovely tranquil setting. There were a few bumped heads, due to low doorways (and in spite of many warnings!) but I would thoroughly recommend Meadow Cottage as a well-located base for a break in a Suffolk. We appreciated being able to check out a couple of hours late as we had a lunch appointment close by.

Fab cottage perfect location for exploring the area . Great gastronomy pub 2 minutes walk . Lovely friendly village great parking facilities outside the property or allocated parking. We would definitely be booking again in fact I have booked for my parents.

Kates place is a beautiful little cottage, Kate gave clear instructions on where this was. check in and check out was smooth, although you are right next door to Kate you are left in peace. The breakfast basket is a beautiful and very helpful touch, even spare shampoo and body wash in bathrooms! leaflets for local attractions and days out, takeaway menus also- very helpful! The cottage is hygienic, all bedding and main areas were clean, some slight dust on skirting boards and cobwebs around (but I am a cleaner and probably pay far too much attention- even on holiday 🤦‍♀️) beds and sofas are super comfortable! peaceful and overall a beautiful place to stay! Will definitely use again when visiting in the future 😀

Very much enjoyed our stay. Perfect location to visit nearby National Trust places and the coast. The property is a cosy but spacious cottage with the facilities you would expect at home. Diana was responsive and helpful in answering our questions. The information pack supplied in the cottage was very good and the welcome pack of ‘goodies’ much appreciated. We would happily stay again.

A huge thank you to Sarah and Ian, who made our stay a fantastic experience! Beautiful cottage, amazing views and nothing was too much trouble for Sarah, wonderful hosts! The private hire swimming pool is definitely an added bonus! And of course the open fire!

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location: opposite the pub and just down from the community run village shop. The cottage was beautifully clean and had everything we needed, and more! As mentioned in other reviews, a couple of the doorways are quite low and I bumped my head a few times - I'm 5' 10". If you're of a certain age and need to visit the bathroom during the night, you may like to know that it's downstairs! It was my wife's first visit to the Broads and we'll definitely be coming back soon!

We had such a lovely stay in the cottage! It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot. The children loved playing in the garden and there were lots of little outside spots to sit and enjoy a little sun. Conveniently close to Cromer and lots of other nearby beaches. We had lots to keep us busy. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and the perfect place to relax and unwind.

My partner and I stayed here for Christmas and we had the best time. We were greeted on arrival by Feri and when we entered the cottage it was spotless and had everything we needed. Feri and Steve were very friendly and attentive and responded quickly if we had any questions. Would highly recommend visiting here and we will gladly book again soon.

Such a gorgeous little seaside cottage. Had everything you need and in such a great location. Very short walk to beach and all the shops & pubs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Em was so informative and helpful. 5*! Xxx
