Lyn and Peter were amazing hosts for our family of 4 (two adults plus two kids, ages 9&6.) Lyn greeted us at check-in, but gave us privacy after that, and was super quick to respond to texts on the rare occasion we had a question. The boathouse was as described with even more amenities than listed and more spacious and beautiful than the pictures could do justice. The place is immaculate with careful thought and detail into every little decoration and little touches (e.g. a basket in the bedroom with bug spray, package toothbrush, etc. for any forgotten items.) We felt completely at home in the boathouse and enjoyed the beautiful views from the upstairs deck and dock, where we spent the majority of our time. We all loved taking out the SUPs that were there for our use and it was a quick drive into town to visit Don’s Bakery (IYKYK), Splash Island, and the ski show on Tuesday night. Highly recommend the boathouse for your next Muskoka stay! Lyn’s hospitality is 10/10.

We loved our floating cottage! Beautiful location, close to everything. It was so clean and comfortable, many wonderful and homey touches. Bed and pillows were super comfy. We enjoyed sitting on the outside patios watching the world go by. One of the best b&b’s we have ever stayed in! Susan was very responsive and helpful.

Brock and his crew are all amazing. Brock was easy to communicate with, was friendly and very accommodating. The views that we experienced were breathtaking, and the weather was gorgeous. Our kids loved going down the slide off the houseboat into the lake so much. An excellent vacation for families with small kids!

Although my original aim was the Aurora, Stephan enabled us to have a profound cultural immersion in Yellowknife with his VIP experience— and I came away with so many more valuable impressions of the rich area than I anticipated! This includes an ice cave, ice road, snow castle and its king and its impressive Arctic art exhibits, knowledge and relation w the First Nation communities, an impromptu walk with 25 dogs of local residents, impromptu giving a ride to a local who looked in need of one, very fresh fish, and more)! And yes- of course the Aurora. I was able to see it from a heated room for hours, until I’d had my fill and finally slept. Overall, Stephan is a very accommodating host, unlocking and revealing a culture and part of the world I hadn’t realized much about before. I don’t know how it would have been approachable without his graceful sharing of his home.

We stayed at Ocean Wind and our friends stayed in Never Land. It is a great location for walking to the shops and restaurants in Charlottetown. We are boaters and staying at the marina had us feeling right at home. Host was great and responsive. I would totally recommend this and stay again.

If only the fishing had been a little better we could have spent more time at the cabin. Overall it was an awesome place to spend time, cook, talk and hangout with my Dad, Brother and Son for a week. Hope to do it again next year!

Stephan's aurora lodge is a unique and amazing place. It's away from town on a lake in the forest, completely private, and utterly silent at night. And yes, we did in fact see the aurora starting from the bedroom window! Stephan is a fabulous host. We were very concerned about the cold for our aurora viewing in March, but he answered a million questions before the trip, and also hooked us up with a great winter clothing rental for our outside viewing. He even went above and beyond to pick up and drop off our gear when there was a mixup with the rental place delivery, even though we didn't opt for the VIP package. When we had trouble finding the place (we're unused to snow, we couldn't tell we were looking right at the road, duh), he came into town to rescue us and lead us out there. He's also a font of local knowledge and history, and a really fun guy to talk to. The best decision we ever made was ditching the package tours and waiting for the aurora in Stephan's cozy living room.

This place is awesome. Cottage was clean and well equipped with anything you need. Even with some storms on shore we barely got 20 min of rain the whole stay. The sandbars in mitchels bay are unreal to spend the day at. Water was 83 degrees and Crystal clean! Fishing and kayaking are great. Short boat ride to go for dinner in town, or cook at home with the bbq or over the fire. Nick was excellent to communicate with and did everything to ensure we had a great time. We spoke several times over the phone to make the weekend go off without a hitch! We will definitely be back next year.

We had a wonderful stay at Prayas’s cottage! Wonderfully spacious and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend. Prayas was an excellent host - very communicative and accommodating.

We enjoyed ourselves! Truly a unique experience and one we have already shared with many people encouraging them to check it out. Food/dining wasn’t crystal clear to us but there is an IGA 15m away and that was perfect. It may be specific to many Canadian Airbnbs but definitely be prepared to take care of a few things prior to your checkout and allow time for that. We look forward to planning a summer trip here and checking out the lovely lake!

We had such a wonderful time on the floating house! We went in October and were lucky to have the perfect weather weekend. Not only do you get the sunrise view, but you also get the sunset! Nights were cooler but the house had heat and we were warm. We enjoyed watching the boats go by and fishing right at the docks. Sheila and her team was super friendly and easy to communicate with. Would recommend and come again!

Just spent two nights at this property which was clean, quiet and right on the water. It have a beautiful lake view and you can see the moon rise at night. The bed was comfortable and I recommend this place for couples who want to spend some peaceful time together.

Honestly even more charming then we expected. So thoughtfully designed, it felt like a high end hotel room, and the movement of the floathome was a novelty at first and then hardly noticable. Would definitely stay again.

We had an enjoyable stay at the houseboat, especially with the two patios that were great to spend time on. It was very clean and easy to check into, although we had a little difficulty finding it at first due to construction in the area. It would have been great to be able to enjoy the beach or swim nearby but that was a drive away and the water was not advised to swim in.

We would highly recommend staying at Dave’s. The location is exceptional as is Dave’s willingness to ensure we had the best stay possible. He moved the boat so the kids could have the best slide area into the lake and set up the awning on the top deck so we could get some shade. He was so friendly and available for any questions. We will stay again!

Highly recommend this property for a lovely getaway! Yihan is super responsive as a host; the Lilypad is charming, cozy, clean and close to everything you could ever need.

Such a beautiful place to stay! I highly recommend this location for a peaceful, quiet weekend getaway. Made perfectly for a couple looking to get away and just be together. The scenery is beautiful, the owners are incredibly friendly and thoughtful to the experience, and don’t forget about the animals! We would definitely go back to spend another weekend here and recommend to everyone to give it a chance as well.

Great experience with scenic views. Our group had lots of fun. There are so many activities to do at the site and around. Will definitely visit again.

This beautiful boathouse had showstopping views from every room. The deck was the perfect place to relax. The kitchen was easy to cook in. The kayaks were great to have! And super friendly, helpful hosts. We hope to go back one day!

The hosts were really helpful from helping us launch our boat to providing local recommendations. The place is great, we rented one unit and our friends the other so it was perfect. Really felt like vacation. We will be back! Thank you, Michelle & Simon

This cottage is all you could want, it’s cozy and super comfortable and has everything you need for an awesome stay. We took the ferry over to Lunenberg several times and ate at the LaHave Bakery twice!! Relaxing on the deck/dock was a great way to spend an afternoon after paddling the river in the morning (with the seals and birds!). Don’t miss this gem!!
