Stephan is the best person I‘ve ever met. He always actively communicates with the guest, cared for me who is not good at English, and always tries to make the guest feel comfortable. also does everything he can for the guest. Literally everything! He did his best to choose the menu for me, who can't eat meat. He never makes the guest hungry! Also, his house is very special. It's very nature-friendly, Saving and Recycling, aurora outside the window. If you can’t see the aurora at his house, you won‘t be able to see it anywhere. don‘t have to take a bus around or wait outside. You can rest in a warm house and then open the door and look at the aurora. Various natural animals can also be seen in his house. You can also see and listen to Yellowknife's beautiful attractions and historical stories, and experience various activities. He always consults with the guest and goes in the direction that the guest wants. I can't wait for the day I go back to this house. Thank you, Stephan:)

A truly fantastic place. Everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Rented both units and hosted an excellent Christmas. Nothing will beat watching the Seals and Otters playing outside your window. A beautiful veiw over the city and a surprisingly spacious home. I'd specifically highlight the incredible location. Supremely easy access to the local mountains and the quick walk to the frequent sea bus made getting into downtown hassle free. Absolutely top of my list when I return to the city.

Lyn and Peter were amazing hosts for our family of 4 (two adults plus two kids, ages 9&6.) Lyn greeted us at check-in, but gave us privacy after that, and was super quick to respond to texts on the rare occasion we had a question. The boathouse was as described with even more amenities than listed and more spacious and beautiful than the pictures could do justice. The place is immaculate with careful thought and detail into every little decoration and little touches (e.g. a basket in the bedroom with bug spray, package toothbrush, etc. for any forgotten items.) We felt completely at home in the boathouse and enjoyed the beautiful views from the upstairs deck and dock, where we spent the majority of our time. We all loved taking out the SUPs that were there for our use and it was a quick drive into town to visit Don’s Bakery (IYKYK), Splash Island, and the ski show on Tuesday night. Highly recommend the boathouse for your next Muskoka stay! Lyn’s hospitality is 10/10.

We loved our floating cottage! Beautiful location, close to everything. It was so clean and comfortable, many wonderful and homey touches. Bed and pillows were super comfy. We enjoyed sitting on the outside patios watching the world go by. One of the best b&b’s we have ever stayed in! Susan was very responsive and helpful.

Brock and his crew are all amazing. Brock was easy to communicate with, was friendly and very accommodating. The views that we experienced were breathtaking, and the weather was gorgeous. Our kids loved going down the slide off the houseboat into the lake so much. An excellent vacation for families with small kids!

When I decided to visit Yellowknife, I honestly didn’t expect much beyond seeing the aurora. However, staying at Stephan’s lodge gave me something far greater. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. During the day, he was an excellent tour guide, and at mealtime, a skilled chef. We could have stayed elsewhere and booked separate tours, but that would have meant enduring the cold much more. Stephan tailored everything to our needs, allowing us to fully enjoy Yellowknife. Even in -40°C weather, we stayed warm in his cozy home and simply stepped outside when the aurora appeared. Because of this, the harsh cold was never a major issue for us. Stephan’s home is the perfect place to watch the aurora, and I truly believe he is the best host. The warmth and care he showed our family, especially our children, is something we will never forget. Meeting Stephan was a stroke of luck, and becoming friends with him was the greatest reward of this trip. Thank you~.

This was a fantastic experience. We loved the houseboat- very clean and spacious, well-appointed, incredible views, great location, easy walk to Lonsdale shops. I would recommend to anybody!

We stayed at Ocean Wind and our friends stayed in Never Land. It is a great location for walking to the shops and restaurants in Charlottetown. We are boaters and staying at the marina had us feeling right at home. Host was great and responsive. I would totally recommend this and stay again.

This place is awesome. Cottage was clean and well equipped with anything you need. Even with some storms on shore we barely got 20 min of rain the whole stay. The sandbars in mitchels bay are unreal to spend the day at. Water was 83 degrees and Crystal clean! Fishing and kayaking are great. Short boat ride to go for dinner in town, or cook at home with the bbq or over the fire. Nick was excellent to communicate with and did everything to ensure we had a great time. We spoke several times over the phone to make the weekend go off without a hitch! We will definitely be back next year.

Highly recommend this property for a lovely getaway! Yihan is super responsive as a host; the Lilypad is charming, cozy, clean and close to everything you could ever need.

We had a wonderful stay at Prayas’s cottage! Wonderfully spacious and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend. Prayas was an excellent host - very communicative and accommodating.

A truly unique gem! A wonderful retreat to slow down and relax. Just as advertised, but the pictures don’t do it justice. The space, the view, and the amenities are all top notch. Excellent facilities and very thoughtful. The setting and the view are so beautiful, too. You won’t want to leave - other than to explore all the exceptional local cheese and farm offerings.

We had such a wonderful time on the floating house! We went in October and were lucky to have the perfect weather weekend. Not only do you get the sunrise view, but you also get the sunset! Nights were cooler but the house had heat and we were warm. We enjoyed watching the boats go by and fishing right at the docks. Sheila and her team was super friendly and easy to communicate with. Would recommend and come again!

Just spent two nights at this property which was clean, quiet and right on the water. It have a beautiful lake view and you can see the moon rise at night. The bed was comfortable and I recommend this place for couples who want to spend some peaceful time together.

We had an enjoyable stay at the houseboat, especially with the two patios that were great to spend time on. It was very clean and easy to check into, although we had a little difficulty finding it at first due to construction in the area. It would have been great to be able to enjoy the beach or swim nearby but that was a drive away and the water was not advised to swim in.

We would highly recommend staying at Dave’s. The location is exceptional as is Dave’s willingness to ensure we had the best stay possible. He moved the boat so the kids could have the best slide area into the lake and set up the awning on the top deck so we could get some shade. He was so friendly and available for any questions. We will stay again!

Such a beautiful place to stay! I highly recommend this location for a peaceful, quiet weekend getaway. Made perfectly for a couple looking to get away and just be together. The scenery is beautiful, the owners are incredibly friendly and thoughtful to the experience, and don’t forget about the animals! We would definitely go back to spend another weekend here and recommend to everyone to give it a chance as well.

Great experience with scenic views. Our group had lots of fun. There are so many activities to do at the site and around. Will definitely visit again.

This beautiful boathouse had showstopping views from every room. The deck was the perfect place to relax. The kitchen was easy to cook in. The kayaks were great to have! And super friendly, helpful hosts. We hope to go back one day!

The hosts were really helpful from helping us launch our boat to providing local recommendations. The place is great, we rented one unit and our friends the other so it was perfect. Really felt like vacation. We will be back! Thank you, Michelle & Simon
