Cabin holiday rentals in Cardiff Bay

What a gem of a find! We came to Gilwern for a weekend without our children and were able to run, cycle and hike really easily from here. The cabin is beautiful, the views are amazing, and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Beth was really attentive and really helpful (and runs an amazing shop and cafe in Abergevany which we discovered on the last day). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and really hope we get a chance to stay there again!

A lovely little hot tub retreat. Perfect for couples or someone just wanting to get away for the night. The hot tub is the main selling point of the property, under a cover so can enjoy the warm bubbles rain or shine. Denise as a host will give you privacy, and was very thoughtful with making it a special stay. I would recommend for anyone wanting a secluded hot tub night away.

My partner and I booked Daisy Lodge as our base whilst exploring the Brecon Beacons. With only being a ten minute drive to Abergavenny, we found it to be perfect. The lodge was in a secluded countryside setting with incredible views (pictures don’t do it justice). The hot tub was just what we were after - the perfect wind down after our hikes around the national park. Justin and Claire were very prompt to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend Daisy Lodge to anyone seeking a relaxing break.

Mini Corner at Far From was a beautiful retreat. The location and views were stunning and made an incredibly peaceful getaway. The property was just like the photos and the bed was very comfortable. Felicity was a fantastic host, sending us very clear arrival instructions and was always friendly and helpful. There are lots of beautiful surroundings walks - would definitely recommend.

Absolutely lovely place. Peaceful, beautiful area and such a great little place for my family, kids loved every minute of it. We will definitely be returning and will let others know how great the place is.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cabin. It was very private and peaceful and the hot tub was such a lovely way to relax. Great opportunity for lovely walks. Katie was very easy to communicate with and provided us with everything we needed. We felt very relaxed after our stay - just what we needed!

The cabin is set in a beautiful location and is roomy and well equipped. Even in February we were cosy and warm. There are thoughtful touches like board games which we enjoyed playing. Spent the most unforgettable few days in this idyllic cabin - a true hidden gem! Hadyn was an exceptional host, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, even kindly letting us linger after checkout when we ran into car trouble. From the views to the thoughtfully curated amenities (and let’s not forget the delicious cake!), every detail has been carefully considered to make this place feel extra special. It’s a little slice of magic, and I couldn’t recommend it more as the perfect base for exploring Exmoor!

Absolutely blown away by the lodge , was so spacious and lovely luxury touches like the chocolates on the towels and complimentary shower jel and shampoo and the milk and biscuits etc . My elderly mum and auntie were overjoyed and loved every minute . Was nice to use the on site pool and want to come back again in the summer as the garden and bbq area and view breathtaking. A credit to Emily for all the personal touches and very well equipped . Can’t fault it !!!

We stayed the one night with our dog and it was just what we needed. The hut was ‘almost’ off grid and in beautiful surroundings. We checked about bringing the dog with one stipulation from Talia that we cover the furniture with throws which isn’t unreasonable. The hut had everything that we needed, was basic but just right. The location is ideal for Glastonbury, and the surrounding areas. Talia was a fab host and would definitely recommend

Marjorie and Tom are excellent hosts, the surrounding area is jaw-droppingly beautiful and you're only a ten minute drive from the town. The cabin is a great little staging post for adventures into the surrounding countryside and there are plenty of hikes, walks and trails a short drive away.

We had such a lovely time at The Shed. It was cosy, nicely tucked away in their garden next to woodland, and had all the amenities we needed. Steve did a great job of making the place very relaxing - it was just what we needed! We especially loved the fireplace as it kept us warm in the evening. The location is great too, lots of lovely walks for a nice day. From booking to checkout, Steve was stellar. So helpful with all my questions and super accommodating. He even ensured the place was ready for us when we had to arrive a bit earlier than expected. Couldn't have asked for better really. Would definitely recommend staying here, whether people just want to escape the city, or base themselves in the area while they explore the Mendips and surrounding countryside.

Our cabin was a true escape. Nestled in a rural haven, we were surrounded by peaceful fields and enjoyed stunning walks right from our doorstep. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing getaway. If you're looking for tranquility and beautiful scenery, this is the place

We had a lovely stay at Matt and Prus Sunset cabin. Lovely and clean, plenty of space for 4 people (adults). Very peaceful location. Well worth a visit. Because we went out of season all the places we visited were very quiet and plenty of parking. Sunset Cabin is the prime location for all the well known tourist towns. Be prepared for the very very dark nights! No light pollution at all. Quite incredible really. Unfortunately too much cloud for us to see the stars! Definitely worth a stay. 10/10 for Matt and Pru. We booked last minute, the morning of our stay. Diane was very responsive and when we turned up the lodge was immaculate despite a short notice. The scenery and location was beautiful and very relaxing. We brought along our dog and gated patch in front was reassuring that he would be safe whilst we stayed. Would stay again x

This was our second visit and we stayed in Pine tree . We had a lovely relaxing stay and thoroughly enjoyed it . We had the pleasure of meeting Rita and thought she was a lovely friendly lady . Pine Tree had everything we needed for our 4 night staycation . We will definitely return again .

Had a lovely weekend here. Nice and close to the city centre. And somewhere quite after a long day. The elecrtic fire made it cosy and the electric blankets were a smart move to warm the beds up. The hot chocolate was delicious.

Had a wonderful week in the Lodge The view was incredible and so peaceful. The only regret was that we did not spend enough time there. The Lodge had everything we needed, Maddie the dog, was an added delight to the visit. The walks were incredible and with Clive’s instructions it was really easy to follow.

We've never stayed at an Airbnb before, but after Rita made it so easy from start to finish, we wouldn't hesitate again! The location was a little bit difficult to find, as we didn't come on the motorway (it being Friday), but we went back to the roundabout with the clock on (as per directions) & found it! We arrived in the dark, but there was a torch on the table! Everything was clean and labelled (plugs, water heater & oven), and there was a "things to do" file on the coffee table. Rita had thought of everything a guest would need! We were about 15 minutes out of Pontypridd town centre so the location was excellent! Overall the lodge was excellent, we were very happy with our break & we would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone looking to stay in the area! Thank you Rita!

Lovely place to stay with beautiful views, the accommodation is stylish and homely, great use of the space, bedroom space in particular was great. I would stay again.

We had a great break at Karen and Chris’s rustic cabin. Experience was easy from the beginning. Clear and concise instructions on how to find the location. Comfortable and homely accommodation with a very effective wood burning stove! All equipment was as specified and everything was neat and tidy. A real pleasure to stay in such a delightful place with a wonderful view. Oh, and of course we have to mention our other host - Belle the cat who made sure we were settled in! No hesitations whatsoever in recommending this accommodation and these attentive hosts to anyone wanting to get away for a break of any kind!
