Absolutely stunning place, in a stunning location! It had everything and more and would happily stay here again and recommend to others. We had the best time!

The most beautiful stay for my partner’s birthday and in a fantastic location for climbers at Dinas Rock. Danielle had decorated the place beautifully for the celebration with wine and chocolates. The lodge is absolutely stunning with amazing added extras including the heated blanket which was perfect as I am someone who is always cold! The hot tub was an absolute treat we were in there for hours! As animal lovers meeting all the furry friends really topped off the stay. Thank you so much for having us. We will surely return for our next climbing adventure.

Had the best stay at Denise’s lodge. Denise was very helpful and responsive with any questions I had. The hot tub was amazing, the area in which the lodge is based is very private. We were even welcomed with some gifts she had left for us and provided plenty of snacks which was just above and beyond what we expected. She even put a birthday banner up as it was my birthday just to make it feel that more special. The lodge book was very helpful providing us information about local shops, restaurants/takeaways and things to do around the area. Overall was a very positive stay with a brilliant host. Excellent cabin, exactly as described. Carley’s instructions were clear and Carley couldn’t have been more helpful. Perfect location for a short trip away from South Wales.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a short stay away from home. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed the dark skies and view of the stars from the hot tub ❤️ Thank you very much x

It was honestly in the most beautiful location clean, peaceful and private for a chilled weekend away. Claire was helpful and greeted us to see how we were getting on at the start also complimentary Prosecco added a lovely little touch. Would love to go back again everything you need for a relaxed weekend.

We had an amazing stay with Victoria, the cabin had everything you could need and all the logs to keep the hot tub going all weekend. The pizza oven was a lovely addition and the pellets needed were all supplied. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. I wish we could have stayed longer! Great place to stay. Stayed as couple for a quiet birthday celebration, absolutely delightful. Set up is lovely and the host is very responsive. Even had little cakes and Prosecco on arrival and fresh eggs dropped off in the morning. Fantastic highly recommend

The cabin is set in a beautiful location and is roomy and well equipped. Even in February we were cosy and warm. There are thoughtful touches like board games which we enjoyed playing. There was a handy guide to local restaurants and the hosts were very welcoming and kind. We would highly recommend Tessa’s cabin , Thank you Rose & Adrian

Just WOW! a beautiful lodge, with a perfect view. Lovely, friendly, well maintained site. Emily has given such thought to small details within the Lodge, from umbrellas, to a fan. could not recommend enough. I particularly loved the binoculars, as I'd forgotten mine! on a clear day we would could see through the binoculars and make out Barry island. The decor in the Lodge is stunning, main bedroom bed and bedding was a dream, the dog loved being able to be out on the deck, and grass, and we had great peace of mind with it being secure. For our first ever Air b&b stay, the bar has been set very high! Thank you, a trip we will always remember.

Really enjoyed the stay here with my cocker spaniel Mabel and certainly will keep in mind for next time I’m in the area!

Spent a night here to break a long journey from Scilly to the midlands. Really stands out among all air bnbs we have stayed in. Amazing location with field below, near to Glastonbury Tor (short drive or a walk if you have time), the cabin is cosy and very clean, the bed is luxuriously comfortable. Talia had lit the woodburner ready for us - a lovely touch. The kitchen area is small but perfectly thought out with everything needed for cooking.We and our dog were blissfully content. Thank you Talia. We hope to be back.

Wow! Maybe it's because I was looking for a quiet time away by myself, but this place just met my expectations and then some! Tranquil, amazing hosts and the most beautiful surroundings! Marjorie responded promptly to every query and she and Tom made me feel right at home! She made time to show me some of the amazing local places and invited me to feed one of their newly born lambs. To top it all they accommodated me to witness the birth of a lamb literally on the morning before I left. I left feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, inspired and I can't wait for when I can go again! The cabin is basic but has all one needs. The views, quiet and friendly hosts more than male up for it! Thank you so much Marjorie and Tom! 😊

I was very happy to return to the Shed for a second stay and it was as comfortable and spacious as I remembered. I was able to feel immediately relaxed and at home. Steve has made some thoughtful improvements including more fridge/freezer space in the kitchen. On this visit I was able to explore the fabulous outdoor space with my dog in the beautiful spring sunshine. This is a magical fairytale setting and I hope to have a reason to return again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay for my sons birthday. Was a short weekend visit. But we loved the natural surroundings and felt it was very private and peaceful. The cabin was equipped with everything you might need and the hosts were friendly and responsive. We hope to maybe come back with family and rent both cabins. A truly beautiful, tranquil and relaxing place with exquisite views. Gorgeous, friendly rescue animals who were a pleasure to see from the kitchen window loving life and allowed you to pet them. Felicity was extremely helpful, friendly and informative. Make sure you book the hot tub well in advance. Although having the hot tub in the day is stunning to appreciate the views. Will definitely return! :)

We had a lovely stay at the Heron lodge, I felt like Pocahontas! So much wildlife, had a resident Pheasant I named Hew, a mink, bats, frogs, fish so many different birds. It was beautiful. The hot tub was fantastic, the cabin was compact but didn’t feel small. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom was a decent size. There was an onsite shop, the coffee machine was out of order however, one of the lovely staff made me a nice coffee for the drive home. Late check in was very easy and Owen was really responsive to messages regarding late arrival. All in all, 10/10 for a peaceful relaxing stay! Will recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, the place was spotless and well equipped. Beautiful views and lovely locals walks. Cosy local pub just a short walk away. Would 100% recommend for a quiet getaway! Thanks again Owen.

Absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the Cefn Mably Lakes cabins! The location is gorgeous, and the cabin is super cute, with everything you need. The wildlife is stunning, we saw so many frogs, fish, birds and even an Otter we named Oscar! The hot tub was perfect too, lovely to go in day or night. Owen’s really helpful, and replied almost instantly. We can’t thank you enough, would definitely recommend!

Was an amazing stay for me and my girlfriend’s anniversary and would definitely recommend booking here! The reception was really friendly on check in and checking out and will definitely be coming back in the future!

Took my partner away for a few days for his birthday. This had a private hot tub area, where you look out onto the lake. The views from lying in bed were also insane as you could just watch the wildlife on the lake. The area was spacious for 3 days, however if it were any longer it may have become cramped. The lodge was always warm and comfy. The sofa turns into the bed which I didnt realise at first but this wasnt an issue. Having an oven in the kitchen was also benefit as meant we could cook a full meal! We went out into Cardiff on one of the nights and the reception were helpful with taxi services, it cost around £30-£35 depending on who you went with but this was reasonable. My partner thinks this is his favourite place we have stayed as it was so private, you were near to other lodges but they could not see into yours and i barely heard anything from any other lodge the whole time.

Lovely short stay at the Pochard lodge. Greeted by wonderful Bob who was helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel at home! :) Lodge was beautiful and hot tub and bathroom were in pristine condition- well maintained. Owen was responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this lodge for a peaceful short break away!

The stay was absolutely beautiful. Travel was an issue for me and my partner but Owen was flexible and allowed for late check in, instructions were clear to get into the property and was accommodating with our check out. The cabin was beautiful, lovely and secluded and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. Even for a drizzly weekend, the lake view was lovely and the hot tub was an amazing bonus to this place. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet and secluded, but very close to Cardiff by car I recommend!! Definitely will look to stay again for longer next time :)
