Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Casamance

I was enchanted by this enchanting place, where serenity reigns under the mango trees. The melodious song of the birds and the cheerful cries of children playing in a distant school yard add to the magic of the place. The vibrant colors and African statues that adorn the place give it a unique soul. The hammock in the turret invites you to enjoy the beautiful weather, while the night lights envelop the house with a romantic aura. The authentic life of the village, with its potters and fishermen, is a living picture. A stone's throw away, the Casamance River, with its beach and canoes, offers a haven of peace. I strongly encourage you to come and discover Hyacinthe's warm welcome and radiant smile. Our staying with Mariama and Lamin was amazing! They picked us up at the airport and we had a delicious dinner with them. The room was big and had everything you needed. Mariama, Lamin and the rest of the crew were very welcoming and helpful! We definetly recommend staying with them :) Abaraka!

Highly recommended place, surrounded by nature, very quiet and beautiful. Everyone was very friendly, Amy, her children, the dogs and the little monkey. Near the house there is a very beautiful river where you can swim. They are developing a permaculture project with a lot of potential, we hope to return one day!

Beautiful house and property. Far enough from town that it's quiet but close enough that you can go in to buy things and explore. The sandy forested trails near the house are beautiful to walk through. Would love to return someday. Two thumbs up!

I love this place!! This is hands down the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Giulia and Anna were so incredibly helpful (my family and I were pretty frustrated and helpless not being able to speak French and navigating a weird ferry schedule this week) and they went above and beyond 1000% to help us get to Casamance, provided advice and reliable taxi drivers, and were endlessly patient. They are the nicest hosts ever. But that’s not even the best part. The best part is this house is even more lovely than the photos and so close to the beach you can hear the waves from every room in the house There has been a nice breeze, The water is the perfect temperature, the locals are so friendly and it’s just magical here! We love it so much we decided to spend the rest of our trip here and I just extended. Book this place before it books up!! I never want to leave.

Paradise... Gabrielle and her family have created a peaceful environment. The little hut, the pool, the sunbed under the cashew tree, the garden, the family, the animals - I immediately felt welcome like it was my home. I was able to relax in the garden, i received tasteful vegan dishes, and the support in checking of my excursion/things-to-do-list were outstanding. I will definitely come back as this is a quiet heaven so. much needed especially when you come from a busy city like Dakar. I took the ferry from Dakar to Ziguinchor and have been picked up. I have seen and experienced so much thanks to Gabrielle and her family and on top of it all I achieved what i wanted to achieve - i relaxend and filled up my energy level. The location is very peaceful, I would suggest a car though if you want to explore independently - be aware that most streets are sandroads.

Wally and the team, Bas and Omar, are wonderful hosts. The place is located in an excellent location, central yet quiet. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again and recommend the place strongly!
