Holiday rentals with lake access in Central America

Spectacular experience, especially for us a family with young children, at the most incredible spot in Lake Atitlan. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxury stay with great design, wonderful service, and an authentic experience overall. We loved San Marcos as a home base and were blown away by the warmth and hospitality of Annika, Daniel, Sandra, and the rest of the team. We can’t wait to visit again someday.

We came back to this house because we loved it the first time. Carlos is very kind. In addition, he leaves excellent instructions to find the place.

Fantastic place, beautiful in front of the lagoon. Really nice house, the internet worked perfect and the extra to do things such as Kayac are amazing to do. Defenetely a place to comeback my family loved it.

A really cute, clean place. The area right in the lake shore is very pretty the kids enjoyed it. We had a great family time with the people who support very collaborating.

The houses and the employees are very nice. Thank you for all your help. The only think is the internet es very bad and slow conexión the same with the cable TV.

Christopher is a great host, always available and actively communicating. Our family had very nice time in the amazing private house with the lakeview and friendly staff who were very helpful. The house was clean and fully equipped with kitchen utensils as well as materials for firepit (prepared when we asked). The pool was big and clean, and was warm to our demand. We also had free Wifi, a large livingroom TV, and good speakers. Also all the bathrooms had bidet.

I can’t say enough about Jennie and her beautiful home. Our family of five all had enough space to spread out. She provided a lot of recommendations and was very responsive which is nice when you are visiting another country. Her recommendations were spot on and we had a blast visiting this beautiful part of the world.

This place is absolutely stunning! We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay. Humberto was always there when we needed him as well as Albert for any additional questions we had. If you’re looking for a little slice of heaven, you’ve found it!

Great experience. Walkable to San Marcos (though there is hills and altitude). Rooms and facilities were as advertised. A6 is below parking. Was loud early one night as someone was checking out and packing car so they were in and out. Not really something something that Alas can do. Otherwise, very peaceful. Team was responsive at all hours and they had someone wait with me when I booked at 4AM and 6AM tour and transfer pickup. Team also arranged for Tuk Tuk and morning hike tour.

Great space right in the heart of San Pedro!

Stunning views and a quick walk to town! We didn't see better views of Lake Atitlan from any other place. It was a joy to relax in the house and take it all in! When we needed to get into town for groceries and to restaurants, we took a pleasant walk through local roads, always passing by a tuk tuk if we wanted a ride instead.

Luz and Dale are exceptional hosts. Friendly, communicative, and very helpful to make you feel welcome and enjoy your time in San Pedro. The unit is private, safe, and walkable to many restaurants and stores.

Ana is the best host! She was always very responsive and she helped us a lot with whichever we wanted! The apartment was beautiful with private surroundings, very clean, very well equipped kitchen! Everything was spotless! We totally recommend! Thank you Ana!

Armand’s place is GORGEOUS. Absolutely breath taking, pictures do not do it justice. I would wake up and feel like what I was seeing wasn’t real, it felt like a fairytale lol. Aside from the views, the place is very clean. You are in the wilderness so there will be some bugs here and there but surprisingly there were fewer bugs than we expected. Also keep in mind this place is very secluded and private, once the boats stop running you are essentially cut off, so make sure u keep snacks and drinks in the Airbnb. Boats stop running around sunset, during my stay that was about 5:30-6ish pm. So prettty early. There is a restaurant on site, I’m not sure of the exact hours but it was staffed all the days of my stay. The staff were very nice and super helpful to answer any questions, helped us with checkin, etc. again, the restaurant is outside and you are in the wilderness, it is very clean but u may see some bugs here and there. Overall I loved my stay here and would return.

This is a beautiful location! Right in the thick of San Pedro’s hustle and bustle yet it was so peaceful hanging out on the beautiful patio! Kenny the property manager was responsive all the time and was always there to help. We highly recommend this place to stay!

Loved our stay here! It was close to everything and yet it was far enough away from the Main Street. It was simple and had everything we needed! If you are someone who struggles physically with lots of walking/activity this space may not be for you. The walk there with our luggage (small carry-ons) was fine but I could see how I would have struggled if I had a large checked bag. Also, having a flashlight was very helpful to we the rocks on the trail while walking back at night. Overall, beautiful and safe space to stay.

The place was exactly as described. We were a bit concerned about the toilet. Come to find out it was so easy and completely oder free. The view was stunning able to preform our yoga practice daily on the deck. The kitchen had eveything needed for cooking. Bare in mind you do need to bring food for your entire stay. You can take the water taxis to the different villages on the lake which is nice. The public water taxis are 25Q per person or 75Q per peraon for a private taxi. Highly recommended this place.

Fantastic stay! The house always exceeds all my expectations. From the first moment I felt very safe thanks to the privacy and measures of the place. The views are absolutely incredible, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Everything was clean and well kept, and the host's attention was great. Definitely a place that I love to go back to. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay. We felt safe and comfortable. Very clean and everything we needed was there. Lots of animals around, dry nice pool that wasn’t often occupied by other guests. A great place to relax. Nice to be away from busy La Fortuna. Host was great.

Marissa was a great host. She took care of all our needs and more! She helped us with a lagoon boat tour, private taxi to/from Cancun, restaurant recommendations, and more! We had a great time and would highly recommend this place (and Marissa as host) to anyone to expereince a wonderful stay in Bacalar!

This Airbnb is truly a slice of paradise! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the sheer beauty of the property. The views are absolutely insane—breathtaking panoramas in every direction, making every sunrise and sunset feel like something out of a dream. The home itself is immaculate, both in cleanliness and in design. Every little detail has been carefully thought out, making for a stay that is as luxurious as it is comfortable. The service was nothing short of perfection—warm, welcoming, and always available to ensure everything was just right. It’s rare to find a place that feels this perfect, but this property truly exceeded all expectations. I would love the opportunity to return in the future, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you're considering staying here, don’t hesitate—you will not be disappointed!

I have to echo the other reviews. We loved our 5 days here. We had a great welcome from Galileo and he kept in good contact with us, organising a private lancha from Pana. I recommend one if you have luggage. We used ordinary lanchas the rest of the time. Jacinta did a great job of cleaning and did some washing for us. The place and situation are beautiful. There is everything you need and it is easy to get to other villages. Santa Cruz was interesting too. We ate at Cafe Sabor de Cruceño and at Isla Verde, both of which were good. We also cooked at home in the well stocked kitchen. (Huge number of herbs and spices!) Our daughter stayed here a few years ago and loved it. We can see why. It was more expensive than our other Guatemalan places but we are so pleased we chose it.

It was a very nice stay. The host was always responsive and gave us all the required information. The house is very nice and clean and has a great lake view. After parking your car, you must go down a long stairway to get to the house, which is typical in Atitlan. The host had organized people to help us with our luggage 🙌🏻

I can not recommend enough! WOW what a beautiful home and a spectacular view. Marcos and the locals around were all so nice! We will definitely be back as soon as we can!
