Cottage holiday rentals in Charente-Maritime

Booked for New Year's Eve on December 31st, nothing to say we had a good time , very quiet and relaxing place. Nice place, thank you.

We booked Maddy‘s place very last minute. She was very amicable and got the place ready quickly for us! The upstairs mezzanine was perfect t for ours kids. Maddy and her family were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again if we’re passing through. The house was perfect for two adults three children and a dog. Our children are aged 8, 10 and 12 and we enjoyed cycling out to the local town and playing by the swimming pool. The kids loved feeding the goat, there were chickens too. They loved the owners dog too! We visited Royan, it’s approx 30 minutes drive. I would throughly recommend this place!

Louise and Mickael made us feel very welcome, plus a bottle of white wine and cool beers! Very nice! We had a pleasant week of vacation at Moulin Chaillou. We were able to enjoy the pool, which the kids loved (4 years and 1 year). All shops are nearby, the beach is 45 minutes away, as well as the aquarium, etc. If you need anything, do not hesitate, Louise and Mickael are there to meet your needs.

Almost don’t want to say how lovely, as will make it more competitive to book to go back! In a word - glorious! - The gite, gardens and grounds and pool are kept beautifully. Gite was spotless and very well equipped (including lots of goodies on arrival, garden games to use there - kids were very happy - charcoal ready for the bbq etc), huge comfortable beds, and wood fired hot tub to sit and look at the stars. - Stunning surrounding views (endless fields of sunflowers) and lovely shady woods to be walk. - Lots of pretty villages - particularly Aubeterre with its central square and river beach worth the short drive (under 20 mins). We also loved the big river beach at St Aulaye (c.40 mins). - Meg and Mark are kind, fun and knowledgeable hosts who were perfect balance of around and incredibly helpful - but very much left us to just relax and enjoy the gite/pool as our own. - Shopping v easy at local supermarkets, various markets and nearby village shop/butchers. Thank you!!

Pleasant and flexible welcome, friendly and comfortable accommodation, the hosts are very nice, we had a very pleasant stay.

The place was very clean and tidy. Well laid out and comfortable, the house offers everything you need for vacationers, with a big plus: the terrace and the hot tub that allow you to fully enjoy the days, even the hottest ones. We also note that Eve and her spouse were very responsive in their communication and that they were very flexible with check-in and checkout times. Thank you again for hosting a friendly welcome!

We had a pleasant time with my wife, perfect for relaxing with her spa area which is beautiful and very relaxing . the house was beautiful perfect for couple and family 👍

We had a great time with friends and kids. The accommodation is well equipped, quiet, perfect for 2 families. The pool with sauna and jacuzzi is the perfect place for adults and children. The presence of the playground made the children happy. We thank Daphne and Blaise for their welcome. We warmly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet week.

We had a great time at Marie Noelle's place! ✨ The space was sparkling clean and matches the photos although they don't show it enough because it's even better and more spacious in real life! The parking space is super convenient and the area is very quiet and charming with some nice little bakeries nearby! Marie Noelle was kind enough to answer all our questions and is very understanding about check-in times! We recommend it! 👌

A very nice spacious house and large property. Everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Clean... Great area. Great with a dog...especially at this time of year (March) you can walk great with the dog... Of course, the house is not cheap, but now everything has become very very expensive... Great hosts, always respond very quickly, friendly, helpful... So I'm sure we'll be back 🌞🌞🌊🌊

Great stay. Self check-in. Everything was spotless, a small basket with eggs and tomatoes was waiting for us, thank you for the attention. Very well appointed studio, super comfortable sofa bed. Convenient air conditioning. Bathroom niquel. The garden has much more to our 2 dogs and we had the pleasure of meeting the donkey upon arrival. We stayed 3 nights and were able to visit the area. (Car required) The surroundings are superb and wild for a good walk with the dogs. I recommend if you want tranquility while being quite close to oléron.

very well located accommodation where everything is thinking for your well-being - being warm host and at your disposal. sea and/or walk woods,vines really close by. I recommend it .

Our stay at Robin's house was great. A really nice and ideally located house in quiet surroundings. Very well decorated and clean (however, the kitchen could be a bit more well maintained in detail). The price is really very good compared to other accommodations on Ile d'Oléron. Robin was very friendly, trusting and very easily accessible. We highly recommend the place and will most likely come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Maryline's! Her welcome was simply amazing, she was taking care of us throughout our stay. The place is peaceful, with an absolutely incredible view and setting, perfect for relaxing away from Parisian noise. We loved sharing this moment with our little dog, who was also very well received. Once again, thank you for everything, Maryline! We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again.

We had a great stay at Jonathan's lovely cottage. The accomodation is fantastic. Thank you Johnathan for your help with taxis etc and for delivering our wonderful breakfast. Our stay was better than 5 stars for sure!! Hope to come back in the summer to try the pool :)

We spent 2 very pleasant weeks with our 4-year-old daughter. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, the covered terrace is very nice. The indoor pool is a real plus. The residence is close to all amenities and especially the market. We could have gone mostly by bike. We recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

Nicolas and Gaëlle are great hosts. The accommodation is very pleasant in a quiet and green environment (by the river, outdoor lounge, barbecue) with adorable neighboring goats. I highly recommend it.

Perfect stay! Linda was a wonderful host and we had everything we need. Cottage has lots of character in perfect surroundings. Had some of the best meals in nearby Melle.

A really lovely comfortable gite. Amazing outdoor space including a safe pool with loads to entertain the kids. And lots nearby to do for young and old. We really enjoyed it with our two young ones.

We appreciated Patricia's hospitality. The little house is located in a quiet environment outside the tourist season. The house is well decorated with the "marine" theme, very well equipped and functional for a couple. The immediate environment is very well maintained. We were there as part of a bike weekend.
