Cottage holiday rentals in Charmouth

I've never slept so well in a holiday home! The house, garden and hot tub were all well kept and clean, and we had everything we needed and more (suggestions on where to go/eat). The shower had great pressure, the underfloor heating was a real treat, and just a really lovely place and setting. Very private too. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage to friends!

We wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely cottage and pretty country location. The garden was ideal for a dog as it was safely fenced around. My dog was incredibly happy sniffing around the area when we were outside sitting at the garden table. We didn't have time to use the Jacuzzi although it looked very inviting. Would recommend to other dog owners or walkers alike!

The Potting Shed is the perfect place to stay. The accommodation is well laid out and tucked away. Sam and Karen are friendly hosts but respect your privacy. We enjoyed sitting in the orchard area and were lucky with the weather. We walked to The Leather and Lace pub (10 min walk through the village), where we enjoyed a delicious burger. The pub is so interesting, full of retro accessories. The beer was well kept too. We enjoyed walking in the local area, visiting Glastonbury and walking further afield. Fantastic place to stay! Our family loved every second and was even more wonderful than what we were expecting especially as this was booked for a surprise birthday weekend away. Hosts were friendly and kept us up to date if they need to. Instructions, and helpful guides were given. Can’t recommend this place and hosts enough. Thank you for a fabulous stay! Roberts Family

The 4th time we’ve stayed at Little Burston. The cottage has everything you need, is lovely and peaceful and private. Carol is a great host and responds promptly to any issues. A lovely stay as usual.

We had a wonderful stay at The Nest. A beautiful home, super clean with lovely surroundings. We got a bit lost on arrival (even though our friends made it there with no issue!) and Sarah came out in her car to find us - what a lovely host! Sarah’s thoughtful additions to the property of stair gates, toys and even children’s cutlery made two families travelling with small children that much easier and we are so grateful! Thank you so much, we will be back again!

A beautifully kept cottage with plenty to do within walking distance, friendly locals, and an unlimited amount of nature to explore. Ceri and Daniel are great hosts, and clearly care about their guests! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, would highly recommend.

We had a lovely Easter Weekend, with the house ticking all the boxes! It is fully equipped with everything you need and the best distance we’ve ever had to the local pub!! It was about a 25 minute drive to Lyme Regis and a great location for exploring the area! Alison’s communication was extremely quick throughout our stay and the check in was really clear and simple. Would definitely recommend a stay here ☺️

We loved this cottage. It was close to the centre but it’s position made it feel tucked away from the main village. We loved the views and the feeling of spaciousness that looking down across the village gave us. We loved the cosy living room and the log burning effect gas fire was very realistic. The larder was very convenient for extra storage as we cooked every evening we stayed. We hope to come and stay again.

What a gem of a place. Tranquil, lovely views from the bedroom, cosy cottage with a relaxing modern feel to it. Thankful that Chris/Freya could accommodate at the last minute, as we booked the night before quite late. We had a lovely surprise when we arrived, to find out a few lambs were resting in the small barn next to our garden patio with their mamas before they could be released into the field. It was such a highlight seeing the lambs jump around and stretch their legs as we sipped our coffees in the morning. Great location, approx 40min drive to Heddon Valley (we did a 24km run/hike from Heddon to Combe Martin, with a stop and looped back), and it's a 12min drive to Withypool if you want to do a big circular loop approx 12km to the Tarr Steps and back. You will have suggestions of places to visit in the welcome pack and a mal on the wall. The cottage comes with all the kitchen appliances you need. We also got to purchase some fresh eggs too, tasty! A perfect short weekend stay :)

We had a nice relaxing break. It was a lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. Sally was available for us when we needed anything. The directions she gave made it very easy to find. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Kristina's directions were easy to follow, including any information within the cottage. The peaceful setting made for a relaxing break.

Julie's place was a fantastic place to stay during our time in Portland. The place was spotless, smelt nice and had all the amenities and items you might need for your stay. Locally, the walks are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the best views I have seen anywhere! There are a few food shops and takeaways locally, all fairly priced and good food. We will definitely return!

Rowan Barn is just as described in the listing, if not better. The house is very comfortable and in a great location, with a small private garden with views over the coastal hills and golden cap and a larger communal space for the use of guests at the other properties. It was lovely to be able to walk from the house with many paths to choose from and a reliable and frequent buses at the end of the lane. An easy walk to seatown and the anchor pub. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have already booked a return visit

We had such a great time at Caroline’s cottage, the location is stunning and the cottage felt immediately like home. Caroline has thought of everything and it’s the little touches which really made our stay, fresh local milk in the fridge, lovely soaps, shower gels etc. Extra rugs and a spare lead for our dog, and even a bat detector which our son really enjoyed. Overall a fab experience, we’ll definitely be coming back

Really lovely place to stay. Very friendly and welcoming. Well setup in cabin and good selection of dvds for wet weather. 4G was fine for us.

A beautiful cottage, bath with a view and lovely hot tub in private garden. Provides everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Beautiful location, so peaceful. The barn with pool table and gym was a great addition. Responsive host too, a really lovely welcome when we arrived.

Very comfortable stay and both quiet and peaceful. Well equipped, everything worked, a fabulous wood burner (plus electric radiators) along with an ensuite for each bedroom ensured a happy long weekend. Parking for two cars very helpful indeed. My second visit in two years.

We had a lovely stay at Janet's. We went to visit family for a few days locally and booked last minute. Janet was very responsive, answered all questions and greeted us on arrival. Grandad's cottage is lovely, very well presented and was ideal for what we needed. It was great that we could take our dog. We didn't use the tennis courts or do any walking as we were very busy. The location is great and the parking is secure and spacious. Highly recommend Janet's place.
