Cottage holiday rentals in Chester

absolutely amazing hosts, came and introduced herself, bit otherwise left us to our devices, which in my books is the perfect host. The place was immaculate, and there were plenty of instructions dotted around the place to show what to do and what not do. We will definitely be visiting in future and will be bringing our dog next time because it's perfect. I've already recommended to pur friends and family.

We had a great stay in this lovely property. We were provided with everything we could ever need for our short stay. Lovely homely decor, a large sunny enclosed garden (which was great for our dog). comfy couches and beds and a lovely welcome pack. This is probably the nicest Airbnb I've ever stayed in and we would definitely book again. The wood fired hot tub was also a massive bonus as was the wood burning fire in the lounge. Amy was really responsive to any communications and was a great host.

Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

Couldn’t recommend this stay enough! They were extremely welcoming when we arrived and left us some fresh eggs, bread, milk, beers and wine which was such a lovely touch! The house is absolutely gorgeous and the comfiest beds ever. Everything was super clean and tidy and the garden was so beautiful. One of the best air bnbs I’ve stayed in, thank you so much !!

We had a lovely stay at Pilgrim Cottage. Cosy, easy to find, and squeaky clean! We didn’t use the hot tub as we were out for most of the day, but it is a beautiful set up and it was a shame not to have had time to give it a go. The beds were really comfy and we so slept well with it being so quiet. Overall, we would recommend and thank you Sam for being so communicative ☺️

Another lovely stay at the lodge, with multi generational family having downstairs bedroom/ bathroom making this accessible. Enjoyed evening hot tubs and card games in the conservatory. Nice day out to Llangollen and shopping in Shrewsbury. Thanks

We have just stayed at The Coach House and it was the absolute perfect getaway. The surroundings are stunning, such a picturesque area and beautiful and quiet. The garden area was amazing for our son to run around in and Steph and Marcus even allowed our son to play on a toy tractor I believe was one of their children’s, which he absolutely loved. The property was great, beautiful and rustic throughout but with beautiful modern touches, the bathroom was especially nice. Sun beaming through the window whilst getting ready in a morning was particularly nice. The hot tub was immaculate and clean and instructions were simple to follow, hosts had all of the wood prepared and ready for use aswell. Overall this has been one of my favourite stays. My family loved it and felt right at home. We went to Snowdon one day and Chester Zoo another, both within a short enough distance and the drive to Snowdon is particularly stunning. 10/10

I booked on Friday afternoon and arrived on Saturday, so was all very last minute, Liz kept in touch and met us there to show us around. Place is very dog friendly. Liz also checked in with us during our stay to see if all was ok. We went for lovely walks and spent time in the spa to relax in the evening, just what we all needed, will be recommending to my friends and family 10/10 many thanks 😊

House was big and spacious, really clean and tidy and great value for money. Location was ideal for us attending a nearby wedding.

even though it was our friends and their two boys who stayed in the cottage I can firmly say they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. the cottage is set in such a beautiful location. with lots to do and if you wish to venture further also within short driving distances you are close to the historical towns of Macclesfield, Buxton and Leek. a wonderful time was had by all l, thank you to Martin who was a wonderful and attentive host to all reauests throughout their stay. We had a lovely stay. The house was spotless on arrival and the extras for breakfast were a really nice touch. The location on the canal was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk into Chester along the canal path. We visited both the Cheshire Cat and Ring O Bells in Christleton, both were a short walk from the cottage. The Sunday lunch at Ring O Bells was superb !! We would def recommend booking this airbnb for anyone visiting the area.

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. It was well equipped. Great location with lots to do. Enjoyed a good curry at Village Spice in Corwen and walks around Llangollen.

The cottage is incredible beautiful! Had everything we needed. Very friendly and helpful hosts! Ann’s welcome cake was delicious 🫶🏻 Also the surrounding area is peaceful and very beautiful. Great little bungalow on a quiet road. Cross over to sand dunes leading to a great stretch of beach. A nice walk into either Prestatyn or Rhyl. Handy local shops for provisions. The place has everything you need for a peaceful stay at the coast. Kirsty was a superb host, offering great suggestions for places to visit

Lovely quiet cottage with nice dog walks. Kitchen was well equipped to cook. Cottage was warm and cosy.

It was our second stay here and we loved as much as the first time we fell in love with it. Amazing location for sunrise and sunset and the donkeys and giddy goats are always good companyv

A really lovely place to stay! Clean, tidy and peaceful surroundings. Jane was a brilliant host, checking we had everything we needed and always available if we had any questions. Checking In/Out was easy, with clear instructions along with additional information about the accommodation (heating, Wi-Fi etc.). Massive lounge area on the first floor, and the kitchen has all the appliances you need. We would definitely stay there again, and would highly recommend it anyone.

We stayed at Melsmere Lodge for a long weekend. Knowing the area well, I was so surprised to uncover this gem of a holiday home in an idyllic location. The Lodge was stunning along with its surroundings, clean, peaceful and very private but also close enough to local shops, restaurants etc. Hosts were brilliant, excellent communication, instructions and even left fresh eggs and milk for our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 3 kids didn’t want to leave, they enjoyed it that much. If we are back down the Wirral for another trip, Melsmere Lodge would be our first port of call. Thanks again to Greg and Lucy for making our trip so memorable.

Great location and lovely little touches made by Juile to make it homely. Really enjoyed our stay. One small point for possible improvement could be better mattresses. Apart from that very enjoyable.

Jackie was a lovely host that helped out a lot. The place is small but cozy and perfect for what it is. She is very helpful and responds quickly, even giving tips for what to do in the area.

Just loved River Cottage, set in a beautiful location with fantastic views over the river. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you could wish for, really comfortable place to stay, would definitely return again. Hannah was a lovely host and easy to communicate with, we never experienced any problems at all.
