Holiday rentals with a hot tub in City of Colchester

The place was lovely and peaceful. We had a lot of ladybugs in one of the rooms and bathroom but easily removed with a hoover We loved the hot tub and how big the kitchen was - perfect for a little girly weekend away Would happily stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the Pondbarn, the barn and the surroundings are so peaceful. The interior is beautiful and cosy we all really felt at home and are already trying to arrange booking for next year. Thank you!!

We booked this place last minute, but it turned out to be a great choice. A large property that amply accommodated our group.

This was an absolutely perfect stay. The house is enormous yet homely, beautifully appointed and with the most breathtaking views. The pool and spa are an added bonus and the path down to the beach / estuary is gorgeous. All in all an absolutely fabulous place and we will be back. Thank you xxx

Sarah and Aaron were great hosts. Extremely friendly and flexible , our kids loved chatting with them at the end of the driveway. They let our little boy fish in their big pond which he loved and chopped extra wood for me who loves their open fire and log burner in what is a lovely spacious house. Such a spacious and peaceful stay. Would absolutely recommend this air b&b and these hosts. No stress at all. Thank you

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Marcus ensured we were very well informed before arrival providing a guest book with comprehensive information and recommendations. We were greeted with bottles of wine & the house was very warm & music sound system set up. The barn is absolutely beautiful & immaculate. It is in a very remote area but this suited us all as we were happy to stay in and enjoy it. The log burner, games room & hot tub were added bonuses. A big thank you to Marcus for a truly amazing weekend break away with good friends ❤️

Myself and partner have just got home from a cheeky 3rd anniversary weekend away with a hidden agenda. The Roundhouse was a great base for our plan’s for visiting Audley End House. Claire was a great host and very responsive to messages. We also had the bonus of a slightly earlier checkin. The house is well equipped for all your needs and the welcome hamper and bottle of wine was great touch. The house has such a charm. The Roundhouse will always be special to us as I used the weekend to propose to my partner Gemma whilst at Audley End House. We will be back for sure.

Wow! I have stayed in quite a few Airbnb's and Coastal Gem is amazing! The house has everything that you need and more, nice touches like the books, games and puzzles provided. Very detailed host book with loads of recommendations. The kitchen was fully equipped and to a very high standard, the bedrooms were spacious and so comfortable. Needless to say the hot tub was enjoyed by all and we were lucky with the weather so that we could enjoy the garden which I should imagine would be a nice sun trap in the summer. Cannot recommend this place enough, if you are looking then do not hesitate to book! We hope to return one day. Special shout out to Gemma who was so responsive with any questions that we had.

This was our second stay at Janes, it’s the most beautiful spot to relax in peace. Jane is friendly and always on hand to help. The accommodation is beautiful and has everything you need. The perfect get away

A lovely stay, beautiful place, nice and peaceful. Hot tub was a treat after a long walk (fen way is a few steps away). thoughtfully stocked with bread, milk and eggs.

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this lodge to anyone wanting a break where everything you could possibly need is included.

We had a wonderful stay at Toppesfiled Vineyard. A peaceful and relaxing location. The house was perfect, with a great outdoor space and a comfortable living space. The house felt very private and secluded. Jane was a lovely host, very friendly throughout. The hot tub was in a great location as a sun trap! We will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely stay at Emma’s Lodge, it was spotless, smelt lovely and all the little Easter decorations was a nice touch. The hot tub was great and the kids loved it. You will need to make sure you have flip flops as u need to walk from the gravel back in, it’s not located on the patio. The cafe and crazy golf/foot golf was great for the kids. Note that on Mondays pretty much all the pubs don’t do food so had to get a takeaway and also most of the pubs only serve until 4pm. We found the rose pub 5 mins away was good for food and is open most days. We had a great weekend here, very relaxing and just wanted we wanted. Thank you Emma I’m sure we will be back for another visit x

Vikki-Jo was attentively welcoming with the most efficient responsiveness we've experienced on Airbnb. The cabin was roomy, rustic and perfect for us. The hot tub toasty warm and spotless. We had a little spider friend in the shower room who popped his head out to say hi occasionally, but we liked them. It was totally private away from the main property and everything was as described. The whole stay was a perfect experience from the moment we booked right up to the moment we left. This is how Airbnb should be done. A true 5 star experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think it was competitively priced for a stay with a hot tub which we enjoyed after walking around Colchester Zoo all day. Thank you Vikki-Jo for our wonderful stay 💐

John was a great host, he welcomed us and was very friendly and communicated from the start. The lodge is so peaceful, quiet and scenic. The amenities are great, only suggestion would be some light blankets as it gets cold and they would have been nice to sit outside with. We didn't stay long, only 2 nights, would happily have stayed longer and would deffo come again for race days. Lovely local pub 2-3 min walk away the Red Lion, beautiful food and staff were friendly.

We came here to rest and recharge. With two teenagers and two dogs, had an amazing time in cabin 2 with its beautiful surroundings. The cabin was gorgeous, really clean and tidy, well equipped kitchen, cozy and surprisingly spacious living space. Oh and the shower room felt like I was in a spa! The hamper was a lovely touch, with eggs from the farm and proper milk in a glass bottle (big thumbs up from me), yummy lemon drizzle cake, and more. Plenty of essentials. Everything was really well detailed in a handbook. Very comfortable sleep and didn't get woken up by the cows, or any other farm animals. The hot tub was such a treat. Took us quite a while to heat it up the first day, but it was well worth the wait, and is well insulated so day two was much quicker. Felt very safe and the garden was large and secure. Very, very dog friendly. Will definitely come again and have recommended it already to friends and family. Thank you and looking forward to visiting again xx

Me and my partner haven’t a single bad thing to say , it was such a lovely peaceful get away with such a lovely little town like village within the area we stayed with a lovely cafe , lots of shops like antiques and homemade goods , mini golf and loads more the only downside was that I didn’t book for longer , the host was amazing I had to message as the WiFi went down at one point but this was because of no fault of the host and she messaged back within 30 minutes and instantly got straight on the case the problem was solved not long after , me and my girlfriend will 100% be back again soon , lovely stay can’t recommend enough .

Fantastic stay at The Bothy. Everything was so easy and clear. No issues, everything as described and better. Loads of logs and kindling for the fire pit and wood fired hot tub. Coffee, tea and a few starter bits provided by the hosts. We weren’t disturbed at any point and got to enjoy the beautiful views in peace. Perfect mini getaway!

Lovely peaceful location and ideal for a relaxing break to explore Suffolk. The accommodation and equipment provided were excellent. We’d definitely make a return visit in future.
