Lake house holiday rentals in Columbia

Took my wife,daughter, dogs and in laws to visit family over Thanksgiving break, what a great stay! Loved the location on the water, amazing view, comfortable home, great game room upstairs and easy parking. I can't say enough good things about our stay. Kitchen was fully stocked with enough to cook a whole Thanksgiving dinner. We made some great family memories here, thank you! I could write a short book about all the great things this property has but I'll finish here, well worth the money and the hosts were great too. Stay here for a great time!

The Lake House was very nice and peaceful. The inside is newly renovated and there is beautiful view of the lake. The host Ms. Sara communicated with me whenever there was a concern. Thank you!!

.We hosted our family of 10 Thanksgiving at this beautiful home. Kids loved the kayaks and the dock. We took a pontoon boat ride with Captain Kenny- highly recommend.

We enjoyed our two night stay. The boat ramp was perfect for my husband and our sons to load and unload their boats. The location was great. Would certainly consider staying here again.

We had such a lovely little getaway at Jessica’s place. It’s in a perfect spot for families with kids—my children had the best time playing in the playhouse, and the hot tub was such a relaxing treat. The kayaks were a great bonus! Our family of five, with two school-aged children and a toddler, fit comfortably between the two kayaks, so we were all able to go out on the water together. Jessica was incredibly kind and responsive, answering all my questions before we booked and going out of her way to make sure we felt welcome and at home. The gift basket was such a thoughtful touch. My daughter quickly claimed the tumbler and now brings it to school every day—she says she never wants to forget “sunshine and nap time.” It’s those little details that made our stay feel extra special.

This was one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve had! The beds were firm/comfortable, we loved having 3 bathrooms for our party of 6, and it felt so open and spacious. I wish we’d gotten to stay longer! Even though I live only 30 min away, we may be back someday!

LaJuana was very friendly and accommodating and her place was a great home base for my family for a Carolina football weekend!

This is our 2nd time staying here and we love this house! There is plenty of parking and you feel right at home! It is quiet and peaceful and clean! The hosts are great and super helpful! We enjoy it every time!! Highly recommend!

Literally the best hosts i have ever experienced through an air bnb ! Friendly and super welcoming. Never felt so at home ! Place was super comfortable and exquisitely clean! We had a bon fire on the property and sat by the lake every chance we got ! The furniture was comfortable and accommodating. They close to everything you need , groceries , restaurants etc ! I HIGHLY recommend this air bnb , but be cautious , you wont want to leave 🤣. Thank you for such an amazing stay ! We will be back !!!

Easy to get to Chapin grocery stores and also less than 10 minute drive to Timberlake Country Club. We went to Newberry ( 30 min drive) for s show at the Opera House, highly recommend. Will be back for fishing and swimming soon!

We had a great visit at this lovely lakefront beauty, it looked just as the pictures showed it. Our hosts Matt & Laurie were very responsive to our questions and have created a walk in ready experience including all your kitchen, bathroom and outside water fun needs. We are looking forward to returning in the future. Thanks to our hosts for an excellent week.

What a very enjoyable stay. We needed a place last minute to evacuate our home in FL for a hurricane. Janice and Nathan responded immediately and had the place ready for us when we arrived. It was perfect for what we needed and our two dogs loved it with the fenced in yard. If you have pets and want to get away….this is the spot!!! Place was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the back porch is amazing and when you walk down to the water it takes all your stresses away. We will certainly be back!

Our family with our two dogs had a very relaxing week at the house. We enjoyed being on the water with the dock. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Fenced in large back yard was great for the dogs. House was also great. Very spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend staying at the house!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Red's Retreat. It was a spacious and clean home in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Great views of the lake and easy access to the water. The kitchen had all of the essentials. I took some of my favorite cooking items just in case and they never left the car. We had all that we needed. Loved the cozy front porch will all of the rockers. If we get to vacation at the lake again, Red's Retreat will be our first choice. Edward was a great host and had all the answers before we even had to ask.

Was perfect for our stay on a tight schedule with really only needing a place to sleep for 2 nights. We didn’t have any down time to enjoy the area. Tessie was quick to respond and very easy to work with. Definitely would stay again. The rooster wake up call wasn’t a problem for our group!!😁

Wonderful hosts, was able to meet them in person and chat a little. A recent storm posed some challenges for the hosts as far as making sure the property was ready for our stay, but they worked hard to make it happen and it was great. Communicative hosts, beautiful property. Would stay again.

Brittany’s home is lovely. The lake view is peaceful even in winter. Everything was clean and in great repair. Each room was well appointed and nicely decorated. We were there over the Christmas holiday - and love that it was done up with beautiful Christmas decor. The house is as described. Thanks so much!

We traveled to South Carolina for our son’s Basic Training Graduation from Ft. Jackson. House was a 10-15minutes easy drive to base. House looked just like the pictures. Quiet neighborhood with a walking path right behind the house. Easy checkin/check-out instructions. The Hosts were very friendly and informative. Will stay again if we ever return to the Columbia area we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful house, with access to Lake Murray, with kayaks available for usage, fishing, swimming, etc. Plenty of fun for the kids, with games, toys, and I thought they were going to wear out the zip-line! Beautiful, secluded lot with privacy. Not a lot of room for parking or turning around to leave. Most of our time was spent outside, on the porch, activities in the lake and the game room. Plenty of room for guests. Granddaughter loved having her private "girly" bedroom. Nice porch with surround sound for watching Football/NASCAR. Remote control fans in each bedroom was a plus. Clean for the most part. Minor maintenance upkeep needed to be done. The only REAL downfall for us was owner lives there! Very weird feeling like we were invading someone's privacy and all the personal effects of a family's keepsake, were mind boggling. Not sure if it's an ideal Airbnb for that reason only. Definitely different than our numerous past experiences. If you can get past that, it's wonderful!
