Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Costa del Sol Occidental

We had a very happy four day stay in September, with five of our family from Australia, Spain and UK. The property is in a quiet area with a lovely garden and large swimming pool. It is only a five minute walk from the local Aldi supermarket and the bus stop to Estepona. Various restaurants are within easy walking distance. Although we did not have a car, there was space to park outside the house. The house was really well equipped, clean and comfortable. Our only challenge was the narrow metal spiral staircase leading up to the second floor bedroom and bathroom, which required a certain agility! We would definitely stay there again.

This lovely and unique cottage was perfect for the two of us for a week in November. We were able to sit around the pool at times and really enjoyed the outside seating area which overlooked the courtyard with trees and birdlife. 🥰enormous wide double bed..We loved Bologna Beach, beautiful sand with dunes at the end, and just a handful of people around. The kite surfing along this coastline at other beaches was spectacular, we have never seen anything like it. An enormous thank you to Frank the owner who assisted me in getting my phone back when I lost it inTarifa. We flew LHR/Gibraltar airport with BA and this meant we had to cross the border into Spain to collect our car hire which was straightforward, but a bit unusual for us. We stopped at Mercadona supermarket en route, as we were not within walking distance of any restaurants, and stocked up with food incl. eggs, bacon, tortillas, salad, bulgar and dips, and this all came in very handy indeed for very relaxing evening meals

Karlien is a great host. Available for any help needed. Great at communicating and getting back to you quickly. This is a lovely villa with sea and mountain views close to town and the sea and a supermarket up the road. I would love to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. John and Elizabeth made sure everything you need is there. Our boys loved the beach toys. Also, the house has it's own parking spot, very close to the house, which is very convenient. We would recommend staying here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Casa Amaryllis. The property was perfect for our group, providing spacious surroundings and all facilities that we were hoping for in a very pleasant location. We are particularly grateful to Franck as host, for accommodating our unexpected early arrival, his recommendations and directions for local restaurants and amenities and for dropping by during our stay, he was an excellent host. We loved staying at Kata’s apartment. It’s so close to a great beach, with good local amenities and restaurants, and is perfect for a small family or couples sharing.

Good experience, I would be happy to go back if I had to go there again.

Silvia was a most excellent host! The apartment was very clean and the location was very convenient with easy access to the Promenade in Pedregalejo where there were numerous choices for dining. The location also had a grocery store literally a one minute walk away. Any issues or things we needed Silvia responded immediately and was able to help us in all situations. It was a 10-15 minute bus ride to Central Malaga and the Old Town, or as we did many times, a walk along the waterfront that took about 45-50 minutes into the city center. Loved the location in Pedregalejo, an area with a very cool vibe and great access to many different beaches. We would return to this apartment without hesitation, Silvia was the most gracious host. No issues at all recommending this as a great place to stay in the Malaga area.

We loved our stay at Dominic’s place. First time trip to Gibraltar and it was perfect. Walked from the airport in 10 mins, across the runway, a big novelty especially as I’m a bit of an aviation geek😁 Easy to jump on a bus outside to most locations (bus info is helpfully printed out in apartment along with other local attraction info) or walk the 10/15 mins into the heart of town, ocean village etc. loads of bars/restaurants etc. East beach is lovely for a swim and 7-8 min walk. Spotlessly clean, beds super comfy, we had everything we needed. I now have to buy an egg chair for home as our 14 year old loved it. The balconies were amazing, couldn’t get much closer to The Rock. Dominic was so quick to respond to questions and we were able to drop our cases in the apartment early after arriving at lunchtime & then wander into town with just our hand luggage bags . The apartment is great, clean and clean. The location is perfect. A quiet place and easily accessible. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby and a few kilometers from Marbella by car or public transport. I have already repeated in this same apartment and will most likely do it again.

Very good location, a few meters from the beach through a pedestrian access. The house had everything you need to spend a few relaxing days both on the beach and in the apartment itself. We went with a dog and the garden is a plus, it also has direct access to the community pool. Lana gave us directions to nearby beaches for dogs that are really good. I recommend it 100%.

Our stay in Alejandra's apartment in Nerja was simply perfect. The place was impeccably clean, very well equipped and tastefully decorated, which made us feel at home from the start. The location was great, close to everything but in a quiet area ideal for relaxing. Alejandra was an exceptional host: attentive, friendly, and always willing to help us with any questions or recommendations we need. Your hospitality made our Nerja experience even more special. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy unforgettable days on the Costa del Sol. We look forward to coming back soon!

We stayed with our family (2 small children) for 10 days and loved it! The apartment/house is fully equipped with everything you might need or may have. The residents are very helpful if needed. The location of the house is good and quiet. Good base for going to the village/beach but also to malaga city (15min) or to Marbella (1h). A car is necessary because the house is uphill. The beds are good, kitchen and living room are completely in order. There was a cot, children's pool, potty and 2 chairs! Lovely holiday

We had a very late flight and didn't arrive until 02:00 at the accommodation, but Saachi asked us to message her as soon as we had left the airport and she was waiting for us as we arrived via the Taxi. She showed us around the apartment and then shortly afterwards gave us lots of local information (Bus routes - Restaurants - bike hire - supermarket etc), the accommodation was as advertised, and suited us very well. We walked from our apartment every day, in both directions. Lots of places to eat nearby. Walk into Malaga centre is about 50 minutes, but buses are available. Large TV in the lounge for an end of the day movie after many great days out. Visited various places during out stay, (Gibraltar - Narja - Grenada). Overall a great location for what we wanted to do, not too close to town, but close enough for commuting. Would definitely stay again. Saachi was easy to contact and friendly.

Our stay was 10 stars . Ben has been kind, close and professional. The incredible apartment, perfect, with a spectacular view from the double terrace. Definitely a place with idyllic location and our option number one if we return to La Alcaidesa. Thank you Ben!

My parents, who are in their late 60s, stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The place was very comfortable for them, and communication with the host was smooth and easy. They weren’t very familiar with the Airbnb system or things like parking cards, but the host was very helpful and made everything easy for them. Most of all, the location is perfect—right in the center, which made sightseeing super convenient. Highly, highly recommend this place!

The apartment is very nice. The kitchen is full of amenities. Moreover, the host left some sweets, jams, tea, coffee, and a basic cooking set. There is a lot of space in the bathroom to place cosmetics and towels. The bed is extremely comfortable and wider than the usual bed in this region. This apartment feels like a home, quiet and comfortable. Pedro is very friendly and responsive. The location is also great. It is a quiet place, but many bars and restaurants are within a 10-minute walk. The supermarket is nearby. A very good sports club with a gym, swimming pools and courts is nearby. There are many bike routes without traffic and a long walking/biking path along the sea.

The apartment is very comfortable and safe. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is a new built with spacious private parking in the garage under the building. City centre is located on the same street level (no stairs). Access to the beach across the street (via stairs). There is an elevator in the city centre that takes you to the beach for .50 cents. Located in a residential neigbourhood but close to shops, restaurant and beach. Fran, the caretaker, was of great help and always checking if we were okay. We had a fantastic week! Thank you Fran.

Very nice apartment, well equipped, well located everything is within walking distance. My daughters and I had a great week at Michèle and José's who had even left chocolates for Easter to the delight of my little ones! I already miss the views from the balcony! Looking forward to coming back soon.
