Cottage holiday rentals in County Down

We had a great stay at the Seaview Cottage! Hosts are really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had really wet weather but we still managed to enjoy our stay and got use out of the hot tub! This place would be unreal in sunny weather! Lots of nice places to see and take your dog which is a bonus for us! We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay at Tara’s Cottage. It was clean, cosy and the views from the hot tub were superb! Darragh was an excellent host providing info and he quickly responded to msgs. Would definitely recommend this spot for a few nights away :-)

We absolutely loved staying at this cottage. So cute and cozy, had everything we needed and more. It was great sitting in the hot tub on a cool evening, and the views are amazing. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A lovely warm welcoming place to stay. Mike had so many personal touches to make you feel at home. The artwork and the garden around the house was beautiful with so much to see. A short drive to great hikes in the Mourne mountains. And with the hot tub and the film projector there was plenty to do in the evenings.

We had such a lovely stay here - exactly what we hoped it would be and Conor and Sophie went above and beyond, even leaving us a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage is just as described, with everything we needed to have a peaceful retreat. 🩷

We really enjoyed this little cottage. It provided everything we needed. Janet had provided welcome snacks and wine. She also responded quickly and kindly to any questions we had. We had sunny weather and sat out in the back garden which was well kept. Thank you Janet for being lovely host.

We had an amazing stay at Laura’s! The place was absolutely pristine when we arrived. We were welcome by a small hamper of snacks, which was a nice surprise. The rooms are spacious, very well kept and equipped. The showers are really nice. The outside areas is also stunning, with lots of space for a furry friend. The barbecue and the hot tubs definitely made our stay more enjoyable. Will definitely go back! Thank you Laura :)

An absolute gem of a place. The house was beautifully furnished, comfortable beds and sofa. Kitchen well stocked and very cute country vibe. The fenced courtyard was perfect for the dogs. Our host was wonderfully communicative and pleasant. A fabulous little country cottage, only minutes from the forest park. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend. Thanks Margaret 💕

The cottage was excellent in every way. Well-fitted out and spotless. John and Roberta were responsive, engaging hosts. A month was well spent, indeed. We could recommend the cottage without hesitation!

The cottage was lovely and cosy with an open fire and amazing mountain and water views 🥰 there is a small town with everything you need within walking distance & Carlingford is less then 10mins drive away. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Exceeded our expectations for sure. Enjoyed every minute. Host went out of her way to meet with us. Cottage did not lack anything. Area was quite and in the middle of nature.

Stayed for 2 nights, place was clean and tidy, beds are soooo comfortable which is always the main focus of my stays! Beautiful rural location but very close to everything, will definetly return! thankyou

The beach shack was such excellent value for money, the place itself is quirky and unique and the surroundings are so beautiful, you are literally a few steps from the beach! Natasha was helpful and responsive throughout our stay, she even let us check in early. They have really thought of everything too, theres plenty of toiletries, towels, games, kitchenware etc etc, we had everything we needed and had such a great weekend. Im sure we’ll be back!

I stayed at this lovely cottage for 10 days and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The place is peaceful, charming, and felt like a real home away from home. The hosts were very polite, welcoming, and always up for a friendly chat, which made the experience even better. I brought my dog along, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for us. The garden is secure, which gave me real peace of mind, and I was able to safely leave him alone when needed. The resident dog is also an absolute sweethear, and a lovely companion around the property. Parking might look tight at first glance, but I was able to comfortably fit my Toyota Hilux and still close the gate, perfect for those doggy clean-downs after walks. All in all, a fantastic stay. I really appreciated the warm hospitality and dog friendly setup. Already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

Quiet wee bolthole - we particularly liked the firepit and hammocks . Not as isolated as we had imagined which worked out really well for trips out.

We recently enjoyed an overnight stay at this cosy cottage. The interior was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils/condiments which enabled us to make dinner without any fuss. We appreciated the breakfast tray, treats, milk and orange juice left for us by Louise. She has thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

Flora's beautiful home lived up to and exceeded our expectations! It was cosy, colourful and we felt very at home from the moment we arrived. The welcome basket and clear, helpful instructions in and around the house were much appreciated. We loved the location and would have loved to explore the area more however the weather wasn't always on our side! It was the perfect base for us to visit family while also having some relaxing time to ourselves which we mainly spent playing games and reading by the wood burner. It is a lovely home and a beautiful part of Northern Ireland - we would love to stay again.

such a pleasant cottage-chic and cosy. francis was very helpful in the lead up and during our stay. very comfy and supportive mattress-lots of lovely soft furnishings as well. amazing shower with plenty of hot water. couldn’t have asked for more! will absolutely be recommending to friends 😊
