Pet-friendly holiday rentals in County Galway

Our family had the most amazing time in the heart of the Irish countryside. Our boys loved the games room with ping pong table and feeding the horses.

I wanted to be in the countryside of Ireland for a months and hosted various family members throughout the month. Tara’s place was perfect for my needs. Very homey, plenty of room to be together or spread out. The views of the countryside as well as Galway Bay were outstanding, better even than the published pictures.

We had a lovely time, the house is absolutely gorgeous. We really liked the vibe of the house, can't recommend it enough!

Can we give 6 stars?? Orlagh is the most lovely host and gave a lot of useful recommendations, thanks Orlagh for the warm welcome. The place is gorgeous and the view is stunning! There is a walkable loop around that offers incredible views of the land and the sea. It’s just STUNNING and when it’s raining (it’s Ireland after all it has to!) you can snuggle in front of the fire place!! We loved our stay and we will be back - we recommend this place 200%

was a lovely location, sea down the road, village had food, friendly cafes and fun stuff to do. fireplace wasn't working but the landlord told us in advance and the heating was perfectly warm for the weather we had. couldn't have been more helpful and communication was excellent.

Hands down the best Airbnb we have stayed at. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get… but so much more! John and his entire family made us feel right at home. They had great communication, helped us feel like part of the community, and had the best recommendations for everything. The cottage was incredibly well stocked, clean, everything worked perfectly, and there were clear instructions for anything you may have questions about. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the three kids had plenty of space to explore and love on the horses. My family spent five glorious nights at the cottage while we explored all of Ireland during the days. We truly can’t wait to go back! A special thank you to Jill and Graham for helping to make this trip so special for the kids!

The view, the beautiful remoteness, and the wonderful host are the highlights of this place. We spent a month here and the surroundings are quite magical. The private lake access is wonderful. The living room has just as incredible a view as the kitchen. I’m not sure why only half of the room is shown in the photos, but it is lovely. It is quite remote, so if want groceries that are from more than a small shop, the closest supermarket is 50 minutes away. The master bedroom is the coldest bedroom in the house. Paddy was the most attentive host I’ve ever had in an Airbnb. We had a power outage and he did everything he could to fix the problem and made sure we were taken care of during the storm. All in all, it’s a wonderful place if you are looking to get away from everyone and everything.

The house is very traditional, with lots of character. The rooms are very cosy and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Roisin’s place has everything you could need, we appreciated there being some basics for cooking (oil, spices etc) and a well equipped kitchen. Roisin is a great host and a kind person.

We had a fantastic two-night stay in this idyllic location. I would highly recommend it to anyone. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

This was a fantastic little find, and Marie was ruper helpful after my previous accomoodation was badly affected by the storm. Marie was very friendly, very helpful and took time to ensure I was settled and showed me some hidden gems in the local area. I will definitely be back

great family place to stay in Galway. we had the necessary amenities, enough space and a great location. easy to get to Dublin's airport and supermarkets.

We really enjoyed a peaceful few days in Niall's place in late October. We are a family of four with kids aged 8 and 6. The cottage was very cozy with stoves and plenty of fuel. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. We slept well in really comfortable bedrooms. The surroundings are so peaceful and the additional facilities of the barn with table tennis, sports equipment, games, etc really added to the experience. The cottage is well located and within an hours drive in any direction there is lots to visit. The local village is very nice with two lovely pubs and a picturesque harbour

We had a pleasant stay. We came for business and pleasure. From Loretto's place we were able to visit Salthill, Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. My dog also had a great stay, with plenty of walks.

Beautiful country setting and nice furnishings, great supply of hot water, location is far from cities but wonderful place to escape and relax, cute village of Woodford nearby has a wonderful pub with great food but food is only available Thursday thru Mondays

Bluebell Hut is an amazing escape for a long weekend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pet friendly, hot-tub, peaceful (but easy to find) location, not too far away from a couple of small towns to pick up takeaway or pastries for breakfast. Carmel is a fantastic host, friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. She has created an amazing atmosphere at the hut with outdoor lighting, thoughtful layout, and it's absolutely spotless inside and out. We will definitely be back with our dog. Thanks Carmel for providing a fantastic little escape from the day to day grind 😊

Every amenity was in excellent condition, from the fully equipped kitchen to the cosy living spaces that were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Irene, the house manager, was an absolute joy to communicate with. Always prompt and accommodating, she ensured that our stay was seamless and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a secluded escape to truly appreciate the rugged charm of Connemara, Hawthorn House is an exceptional choice. We left feeling refreshed and connected to the beauty of Ireland’s west. Highly recommended!

Carmel is wonderful host, they really go above and beyond. The location is perfect, peaceful, and magical. Everything is so gorgeous and the hot tub and excuse to bbq make it even better! We truly fell in love with the area and accommodation and will absolutely be back as soon as we can!

Sarah's place is testfully decorated and set in a relaxing athomosphere. We really enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day, after exploring the surroundings. However, what makes the place special is Sarah's kindness and the way she welcomed us. She gave us many reccomnedations just to make sure we would have a lovely break. Communication with her was excellent before and during the stay. I definetely reccomend it!! Thank you Sarah!
