The Bed and Bookfest is the cutest little place! We had a wonderful time in New Bern - the location is amazing - EVERYTHING was walkable. Page was fantastic and gave excellent recommendations. We fell in love with the charming space and the town. Will definitely be back!

This cute little above-garage apartment was just what we were looking for in a weekend getaway to New Bern: well-equipped, comfortable, affordable, and close to Tryon Palace and downtown for good restaurants. The host was friendly and warmly greeted us on arrival, but then left us to ourselves for our comings and goings. The coffee and real creamers were a nice touch...we never even felt we needed to go find a grocery store. Ed provided lots of helpful hints regarding light switches, small things that just made settling in easier. And we really appreciated the early check-in on arrival day; we were able to drop off our bags and immediately head out to walk downtown unencumbered.

The cottage was bigger than the pictures implied. Perfect spot to fish and plenty of great golf courses around. Only 10 minutes from downtown with great restaurants and bars. Patrick and his family are great hosts. Very thoughtful people. Even left us golf information and scorecards for our arrival. We’ll be back the next chance we get. Highly recommend to anyone going to the area.

The cottage felt like a home away from home. I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. I enjoyed relaxing and entertaining family. The hosts are responsive and go out of their way for any need. Or question you may have. It is the perfect place for a restful and fun holiday in North Carolina. I look forward to going back.

Quaint and homemade. Had everything we needed to stay comfortable. Heat and AC worked fantastic for the small space. Perfect for a two person stay. Restaurants, shopping and activities just a swift walk away. The host was wonderful making sure we were safe and supplied; offered an early check in for a stormy day and offered a direct number. Can’t suggest this enough for the price it’s more than worth it. Thank you Katherine for everything! Would happily buy again.

Management company was very responsive and communicative. Beautiful and quiet location. Townhouse is spacious and lovely. The outdoor spaces were fantastic. The property, pool and amenities are dated, but given New Bern area it’s expected and we didn’t mind a bit. Perfect for our family. We will be back!
