Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Crete

Feels like coming home. Beautiful garden, the premises are maintained with love. The owners clearly put a lot of effort into it, ont just a business. Everything provided that you might need plus a few nice extras like a ping-pong table. Ideal for (small) families and couples.

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

Very private, no noise from neighbors. We hardly heard any noise from the traffic as the apartment is not directly on the road. We stayed for a week and spent much time on the incredible balcony: you can always find a space in the shade there. We loved the Galini beach nearby. only downside is that you have to walk for 200 meters along the road, as there is no footpath. There is a private beach closer by, but not everyone will be willing to climb down. It's doable for most people, but it is no walk in the park. If you like solitude, or if the Galini beach is too crowded, then certainly try to go the private beach. The WiFi in the apartment and on the balcony is good enough to stream video to one laptop. We had a tremendous time and certainly will come back some time in the future

It feels like home as soon as we arrived at Grigoris's place. We were welcomed by Christina (Grigoris mom, hope we got the name right). Christina was super friendly and helpful through our stay. She brought to us some home cooked Greek pastries and biscuits next day and we loved them. The house looks and feels better than the photos. Beautiful sea view in a quiet area. We felt so relaxpastIt has everything you need to enjoy your stay there. Great place for a family. Highly recommend and we will definitely come back. Lots of lovely memory. We had a great time - enjoying the views from the roof, even from the jacuzzi at night it's very beautiful, grilling meat, sunbathing, feeling like locals. And we will gladly return, despite the partially tired furniture and creaky bed, because it is a very comfortable location with amazing views.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Manoli’s! The house was stunning, nestled in a beautiful village that made our two-night stay even more special. The property was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it feel like a home away from home. The host was excellent, maintaining great communication. We also loved the nearby restaurant, which was superb and added to the overall experience. We truly had a great time and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

This was one of the best houses I stayed in - really modern and great internal design. The two bathrooms are a rarity in Greece and we were really happy that we had them. We enjoyed the very comfortable beds and the pillows. A fully equipped kitchen was also a nice element to the perfect stay. Need to know that the village is on a hill and there is a narrow cobbled street (no direct access by car), but there is a small parking about 150m away from the house.

It was a pleasure to stay with Eleni as a family. The house is very clean, well maintained and decorated with great care. Eleni is very available and takes the time to welcome her guests. The small village of Kavousi is authentic and very welcoming as well. The small beach of Tholos just next door is perfect for my swimming. We highly recommend this location!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pine Home! The apartment is perfectly located near the beautiful Agioi Apostoloi beaches. Surrounded by nature green is ideal for picnics or just unwinding with a good book. The apartment itself is modern, stylish, and thoughtfully decorated, making it a truly comfortable and relaxing place to stay. We also loved how close it was to downtown, with plenty of shops, cafes, and cultural attractions. The combination of peaceful surroundings and convenient access to everything we needed made for an unforgettable stay. Finally the hosts are very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!!☺️

A lovely place in a cute village, surrounded by olive trees. A gorgeous view from the terrace. The house manager communicates very well, with fast, clear and friendly instructions. Special mention: the owners Elena and Michail also run a delightful restaurant 30min away. It is well worth going, for the food, the view, but most importantly to meet with them! They have been sooo incredibly welcoming and it was a treat to have a chat with them both. I definitely recommend

Great apartment in a quiet area, but a minute's walk from the sea and an area with many bars overlooking the sea. 10 minutes from the old town. Apartment with small terrace with excellent sea view (2 chairs and coffee table), pleasant especially at night and in the morning. Another very large covered terrace with a tent, which is also equipped with a barbecue. The apartment looks good with all comforts. Practical and pleasant stay. Host punctual in responses and suggestions. Very appreciated. Car parking available on the neighboring streets but always a maximum of 2 minutes from the apartment. We 4 of us (two adults and two children) had a great time taking advantage of the large space available.

We enjoyed our stay with Georg very much. Especially the garden was so great for our two boys with plenty of space to run around and great play opportunities. We were spoiled with delicious olive oil and freshly picked salad and were able to snack on pomegranate from the garden. Communication with Georg was always flawless and fast. He and his family were always so helpful and so friendly. We were even allowed to watch the olive harvest and learned so much about it from Georg. The surroundings are great for various excursions. We highly recommend George's place.

We stayed for 9 days in a beautiful apartment, very clean and well equipped. The apartment is about 10/15 minutes from the center of Chania, in front of a supermarket and in our opinion, is at the right distance from all the most beautiful beaches (1.45h max). The order, cleanliness and equipment of the apartment allowed us to enjoy our stay to the fullest! I would like to give a special thank you to the very nice Chrysoula. She was very kind, sociable and available to answer all our questions. She was the first local we met and it really warmed our hearts to meet her…thank you! We will definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

Sara and Giovanni are exquisite! Beautiful stay, fantastic area. We had a great time, the restaurant is a gem, you can eat divinely. In the evening, by the pool, sitting at the restaurant, there is a magical atmosphere, a peace for the senses. Our little girl fell in love with the pool! We'll definitely be back

What a great apartment!! So clean and tidy, everything you need is available. Even groceries in fridge! In between, there will be cleaning again and replacing linens/towels. Communication is very easy and friendly. Highly recommended!! However, you really need a car because you are not within walking distance of e.g. city or beach.

We stayed here for 8 days with our son and his wife and our granddaughter. It was absolutely perfect for us, we spent several days in Heraklion and then toured the neighbouring regions of the island in our rented car. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a large and well-stocked kitchen which allowed us to cook some meals together. We were especially grateful for Eirini's offers of assistance and suggestions for activities such as the Oxi day celebrations on October 28. We would have missed it if she hadn't alerted us to the parade. All in all a perfect holiday, would gladly stay there again.

There was a fire right next to the property just hours before we arrived. It was really unlucky for everyone. However, despite this unfortunate event, Effie, Michail and the team were amazing. They dealt with the situation as best and as quickly as they could and the property was all back to normal in a couple of days. Despite the set back, we had an amazing holiday. The property was spacious for our family of 4 and was as described by the listing and photos. Effie kept the property and pool super clean. Great location, albeit, there’s a pretty steep hill to get to the property so our hire car came in super handy. Plenty of restaurants and entertainment in Stalos, Platanias and Agia Marina. Close to a lidl (5 mins drive). Bus stop just at the bottom of the hill which took you into to Chania for couple of euros each. I would definitely recommend the property.

Very nice villa with a splendid view of the bay of Plakias. Large private pool and hot tub. Our stay was as we expected. Villa 5 mins drive to amenities, restaurants, beach etc Thanks to Olga for her advice about the local medical center.

We had a wonderful week! The hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Vaggelis were lovely and full of special touches. They were responsive and always available and attentive, making sure we didn't miss anything. Tina, who welcomed us on the first day was also very attentive and super caring towards us! As for the villa, it was perfect from every point of view! The listing photos match reality! I would even say that it was beyond what was indicated! The impeccable cleanliness, the services offered, the decoration and design of the house, not to mention this incredible view of the sea and the island of Spinalonga. I recommend these hosts and this villa! Go there without a second thought! You won't be disappointed! Thanks again 😊

The villa was amazing.The pool an the garden are perfect. The host is very friendly and she gave us wine and a cake which was super cute.

We had a great time in this lovely Cretan stone house, very clean and perfectly equipped. Toilet linen is changed twice a week and bed linen is changed every week, in addition to the cleaning done very regularly, which was not mentioned in the listing😁. The village is very lively and there are excellent restaurants , as well as a small convenience store perfectly busy. Maria Ionna is a very responsive host to our requests and always very friendly . I highly recommend this location!

The house has been fully redecorated to a high modern day standard. It's spacious and very private, also thanks to the walled inner garden with swimming pool, and possibilities to park two cars behind an electronically operated gate. The house is clean and the beds very comfortable. Also ideal when traveling with two couples of which one has children, because one bedroom has a separate front door that is accessible from the garden (under the roof top terrace). A very nice local restaurant and a supermarket are within walking distance. I highly recommend staying here!
