Beautiful place to stay

Aurora’s place was by far the most beautiful and appealing my friends and I stayed in during our exploration of Cuba. Aurora’s co-hosts, Clarita B. and Hector M. P., deserve a special mentioning: they waited for us at the entrance on the street in spite of an arrival after midnight, welcomed us in a most gracious manner and explained the paradisiacal garden and its plants to us: from tasteful Guyaba to medicinal anti-inflammatory plants. The ‘room’ was an apartment, much superior to what we had booked, extremely spacious and comfortable with its own kitchen. The breakfast prepared daily by Clarita and Hector was sumptuous, delicious, luxurious. I have not felt anywhere more at home and more welcome than at Aurora’s place. The home and the hospitality we were shown will forever have a special place in my memory. Muchas gracias Aurora, Clarita y Héctor!

What a pleasure to be so well received! Good tips for visits, restaurants nearby, they even called for us a taxi on the day of departure... The casa is well located, next to Parque Vidal. Full of small touches, a lollipop for our child, postcards and cigars for us... and I'm not talking about the gargantuan breakfast as Cubans like to do! Thanks again for hosting us!

The house and staff are awesome. Gabriel and Suzette make everything easy and comfortable and helped us feel right at home in Cuba. The house was built in 1915. It's basically the second floor of a mansion with the front door on the ground floor where security is always there. The ceilings are about 15' high with lots of mouldings and drapes with giant tassles etc. The roof deck was a really nice place to hang out in the evenings and take in the surroundings. It's close to restaurants and the oceanfront sidewalk that runs the length of Havana.

I love this place, spacious, clean, peaceful and the basics you need. Yanet was super helpul giving directions to my driver and finding the house is no problem. On arrival she was waiting outside and went with us to point out all the locations near us to buy food and other stuff. Beach is less than 4 blocks away which is not a far walk at all. 3 blocks from the 5th main street where you can find about everything including restaurants open until really late at night. The pool is amazing and the back area its in really fresh big and relaxing. Yanet does live in the far back house but you hardly see her and when you do its always good conversations with her. She makes you feel right at home and always available for anythings thats needed. Location felt really safe plus theirs a night guard thats always on duty. Defiantly marked as my favorite and saved for future stays in Guanabo. Thank you Yanet, i will be back soon.

The truth is that the place was very cozy, a relaxed atmosphere and as if you were in your house, also to say that the facilities were very good, good rooms with all the comforts and most importantly , some mattresses in which you rested peacefully ( air conditioning and bathrooms in each room ). And for speaking of the facilities it was not enough , I have to add that the staff of the house was wonderful, both the cleaner, and the laundry,as well as the owners of the house who help you give you all the necessary information to have a wonderful stay and know the most interesting places in Trinidad. It was a great success to have booked in that place, even we were made short of the stay and we were very sorry to leave after having been so well cared for. I will definitely repeat again. If I have to give a note, I would give you a 10.

Couldn’t of asked for a better stay this is one of the best places to stay in laureles and Medellin area I will be back agian this will be my go to spot every time I’m here from the breath taking view to the location restaurants and bars all around 10 out of 10 what are you waiting for book book book

We had an excellent stay. The house is amazing with numerous, big bedrooms. And the upstairs open-air veranda was a great place to spend our time, especially during the afternoon thunderstorms. The two housekeepers and security guards were extremely helpful, arranging taxis and other activities. They took good care of us! All in all, it was an amazing trip.

After we came from Maguana and stayed in this b&b, the contrast between the two was already great. Baracoa is very poor, Santiago has more to offer again. We had a good room, sweet cozy people who also gave tips about the area, we went to El Morro (restaurant), nice place to eat, artists walk there from where you can buy art. There are more sounds of dogs barking or people working, if you are very sensitive to noise, earplugs may be an idea while sleeping. Delicious evening food eaten, nicely cooked and got another small cooking class with banana.

It was a beautiful house, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Wr stayed for 5 days and celebrated my wifes birthday! I would recommend to anyone as it is a large home with open space and lots to do with the recreation room and beautiful pool. Thank you and looking forward to staying again in the future.

I absolutely loved my stay here in Matanzas. The hosts were very welcoming and responsive; the last night I had in Matanzas, we stayed up talking, drinking and they even offered me dinner. Even though the country is facing electrical issues, I only experienced two outages in my stay and they did not last longer than an hour. It did not interfere with any of my plans or cause me any real issues. The house was very clean and comfortable. There was minor noise from the street at night, but that is expected in a town of over 100,000 people. The town itself was clean and safe, and was a nice change of pace from La Habana. Overall, I had a wonderful experience staying here and I hope to return next year. 5/5 stars it felt like luxury after staying in hostels my first week.

Great room, very spacious and comfortable. Located right in Havana Vieja but it’s a very quiet apartment. Breakfast was amazing and everyone super friendly!

We had a terrific time at Gabriel and Nelson's place in guanabo. Due to the island-wide power outage, we couldn't communicate our arrival time, but Nelson was waiting for us to let us in and give us a thorough tour - not only of the house, but of the immediate neighbourhood - showed us where to buy drinking water, food, etc. Even made us fried plantains and taught us some new versions of dominos, and enjoyed a cultural and language exchange. We loved the peaceful yard (tranquilo) with many beautiful fruit trees and local birds and gatos. We enjoyed wandering the town and trying the local restaurants and exploring the beach.

This guy single handedly saved our last 3 days in Cuba with his solarpanels during the nation wide blackout. (This way we manage to check in for our flights) We never planned on visiting Matanzas, but boy, Alay made it very interesting with his background in tourism. Highly recommended!

Great place and amazing hosts! Elvira and Gerardo made sure we were comfortable at all times and were available whenever we had questions. They are super helpful and very knowledgeable on where to go and the transportation system around the city. The place was spacious, clean with all the amenities - it lacked nothing. This will definitely be our place to stay when visiting Cuba.

We really like the air bnb, The caretaker Maria was very helpful and made good breakfasts for us. Her husband provided with great car transportation. The accommodations were good. The only complaint is that you have to go outside our rented space to get wi-fi reception because it was not possible inside the house. Also, the location of the home was different than the coordinates noted on the airbnb site. It was 2 niles away from where we thought we were and this made a difference since we were there for a triathlon. We thought it was easy 7 minute walk to marina but the walk more like like 25 minute walk to marina. Otherwise we a had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the town of Santa Fe.

I had a perfect stay at this apartment in Varadero. The accommodation was extremely clean and well organized, with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen was one of the aspects I liked the most: spacious, well-equipped and with a wood/charcoal oven that was particularly useful for preparing delicious dishes. Every detail was well taken care of, and I really felt at home. An extraordinary experience that I recommend to anyone without hesitation!
