Holiday rentals in Cumberland

My stay at the cottage was absolutely perfect -- the landscape and view is stunning, the cottage is cozy and clean, and everything worked perfectly. Robin responded promptly to texts, but was also careful to give privacy. The weather was often rainy and chilly the week I was there, but I was there to write, and sitting inside by the wood stove looking out at the sea was just the thing I needed. Still, the beach and forest walks are right there, and it was such a joy to listen to the waves crashing and the eagles flying overhead! I couldn't recommend the place more highly! I will definitely be back!

If I could give Heidi's place more than 5/5, I would. This was by far my favourite Airbnb. Conveniently located in Courtenay. We were close to everything. Spotless, beautifully decorated & comfy beds. It's just the cutest little house. I will definitely be staying again on my next trip! 10/10 would recommend!

We had a relaxed and wonderful stay here! The house is clean and comfy with all the amenities we needed, and has the most incredible view across the water. We particularly loved the access down to the lovely rocky beach. Would absolutely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at Erin’s AirBnB in Union Bay. I was pleasantly surprised that it was even more beautiful than the pictures, beautiful inside and outside. It was a perfect place for my adult daughter, her little dog, Eddie, and I to stay while on our road trip on Vancouver Island. We were visiting friends in Courtenay about 15 min drive away and Erin’s AirBnB was our home away from home. We each had our own bedroom with lots of pillows and fluffy duvets and fluffy towels. The appliances were of top quality with a big washer/dryer and full kitchen including a large fridge, gas stove, dishwasher, and microwave. The suite is also very private with it’s own entrance and outdoor hot tub. Erin, Shelby, and their young family have a hobby farm on the property and my daughter enjoyed visiting the animals every day. My daughter also enjoyed walking down to the ocean every chance she got (about a 10 min walk). I enjoyed the peace & quiet & spaciousness to do my yoga practice.

A beautiful, homey beach house!! Was wonderful to use their kayaks , fire pit , and beach at our leisure. I would love to stay here again!! Worth every penny!

Our family enjoyed Matt's place very much! beautiful water views, spacious home, comfortable beds and furniture. It was about a 35-40min drive up to Mt Washington for winter activities. We also took a short walk to the general store nearby and found all we needed for basic groceries. Fanny Bay seafood shop was also at the back of the building where we bought mussels and crab cakes to cook for some meals. A great weekend getaway, thanks for hosting us Matt!

Cathy is a Superhost in my books. She thought of every detail, communicated clearly, proactively and responsively. Easy check in/out process. The covered porch allowed us to sit outside by the ocean, even during inclement weather. Cathy had even turned on the fireplace for our arrival (it was a cold and rainy day)! Kitchen was stocked with essential cooking accessories, spices, oil, coffee, tea, etc. What a welcoming feeling!! Thank you so much! Highly recommend!!

Jennifer was a great host, easy communication and adaptability the whole way through our entire stay. The view was amazing from the porch and it was a very cozy homely stay. Would definitely book again.
