We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Candlebay. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was fabulous. The host was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place and excellent location! Just a few minutes walk to the downtown with great spots to eat and of course, all the shops. Bill is a great host, and the Inn is beautifully maintained. There were nice details like a cold glass bottle of water in the room, all the toiletries and amenities you’d expect from a nice hotel and the bed was very comfy! Excellent homemade breakfast in the morning can’t be missed! I’d love to stay again!

Connie is a very affable host and a veteran in the industry- she was quick to respond with a snack when I had to leave early. I look forward to additional trips to Freeport as I'm getting to know the area; am sure I'll return to Candlebay Inn.

We had to change our reservations at the last minute and Jim was quick responding. He greeted us and put us at ease after a stressful situation. Great location and awesome breakfast!!! We would highly recommend!!!!

Lovely antique house on a quiet street near the stores in Freeport, but nonetheless quite serene. Connie is an excellent host and lovely person. We brought our two dogs and there were several other dogs in the house while we were there, so we were grateful that Connie is also a dog-lover, and keeps the Inn pet-friendly. We will definitely stay at Candlebay Inn again whenever we're in the area.

This was our first time staying at the Candlebay Inn and we definitely will be back. Connie was so wonderful and sweet, greeted us at the door—gave us a brief tour and local recommendations. The Daisy Room was super cozy, very clean and quiet. In the morning, home cooked breakfast was delicious, Connie was nice enough to tell us about the backstory of the inn which we really enjoyed. 10/10 recommend!!

What more can we say - wonderful experience and wonderful hosts! We greatly enjoyed staying with Gretchen and Keith and found them to be great people - friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The room was as pictured and described, in a great location, the breakfast by ‘Chef Keith’ was delightful. If you’re considering staying here, do it. We’ll be back!!

We love the location tucked on a tree lined street, yet close enough for a reasonable walk to all the Freeport shops nearby the LL Bean Flagship store. Your kind hospitality, delicious breakfasts, and historically quaint, yet modern functioning rooms, made us feel at home during our stay.

The grounds are beautiful and the inn is very clean and charming. Jill is so friendly and quickly responded to the messages I sent. My husband and I had a quick visit but enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast (French toast casserole, ham and egg bake) before we left! I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Kelleigh and Dave are the perfect hosts. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with our 6-year-old daughter and, on request, informed directly about all the special features of the place. The two were extremely helpful throughout our stay and were able to give us many good tips for the area. Particularly noteworthy is the beautiful and well-kept house, the sparkling clean rooms and the cozy and warm atmosphere. The whole thing was only surpassed by Dave's unique breakfast. It was pure pleasure to be able to look forward to the delicious and varied creations every morning. The food was incredibly creative, fresh, healthy, and all in all a culinary highlight of our three week tour of the United States and Canada. We would come back anytime and thank Kelleigh and Dave for three unforgettable days in Freeport.

Wow, what an incredibly lucky find! We felt like we were staying at the Gilmore Girl's Inn. Thank you Jill and Joe for making us feel so pampered during our stay. We loved the delicious breakfast, the comfy room, and our dog enjoyed meeting Coco and playing in the field. We'll be back for another stay for sure!

Jill and Joe were very accommodating hosts of this lovely BnB. my room was clean and comfortable and the maid to order egg sandwich on sourdough for breakfast was perfect.

We only stayed for one night but had such a good night's sleep! Peter and Karen were the perfect hosts. Responsive when we asked questions and were very accomodating! We particularly enjoyed the warm, bathroom floors and the spruced up studio. 10/10 would recommend to other travelers :)

Marsha and Steve are great hosts welcoming us upon arrival. This is the 2nd time we have stayed in their home and it is very clean and comfortable. We stayed in the front room with private balcony which is a must. There are no curtains for the sliding glass door so be prepared to wake when the sun rises or bring an eye mask. Their bed is a new updated adjustable firmness type. Provided breakfast is fantastic as usual with many healthy choices. I highly recommend Marsha and Steve's Airbnb to anyone looking for a place to stay!
