I had a fantastic experience at Walisons Homestay. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the area. I loved the concept of service apartments (probably the first in Kashmir)—spacious and well-equipped. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, always helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

The Shami Inn is conveniently located near key tourist spots . It also has good connectivity to public transport, making it easy to get around the city. The hotel has a welcoming ambiance. From the reception to the rooms, the interior design is modern and comfortable.The rooms are spacious, and clean. The bed is comfortable and basic facilities are provided.The host is friendly and helpful. The check-in process was smooth, and customer service was prompt and responsive. Whenever we needed anything, the host was quick to assist.Considering the amenities and location, The Shami Inn offers great value for money. The pricing is very reasonable for what you get in terms of quality and service.The food was exellent, mostly we felt like we are eating at our home. Easily one of the best stays ever! The hosts were so warm and kind, they really took care of me but Aunty’s food was Unreal! Her kahwa was perfect and those aloo parathas Straight-up legendary with Almond chutney and just when I started craving some South Indian food, she just provided me some killer dishes which were kashmiri and south Indian at the same time so Yum! The room had everything I needed—fast WiFi, a heater, hot water, and a clean bathroom. The blankets were warm and cozy the room had a good view looking the mountains. But honestly, what made it special was just how sweet and caring the hosts were. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay here! The accommodation was extremely spacious and comfortable, exceeding my expectations. But what truly made my stay special was the exceptional hospitality. Musa, the host, was very helpful in every way he could. He went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home. His warm and welcoming nature made all the difference. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Nowsheen and her family made me feel right at home. Right from the point of my arrival at the airport, her husband was there waiting to receive me. I organised with him my out of town travels for sightseeing and other activities. He also dropped me off to the airport at the end of it all. I had no issues at all during the entire time that I stayed with Nowsheen's family. I took the large room with lounge, kitchenette and attached bathroom, upstairs. Apart from being a great host, Nowsheen is a great cook. She prepared and served some of the best selected dishes from their traditional Kashmiri Wazwan feast. I was fortunate to meet her two children, who are very cultured, welcoming and friendly. The early morning prayers from nearby mosques were soul enriching, something to be aware of, while in Srinagar and nearby locations, you will hear prayers from the Mosques during various set timings in the day. Overall, the best experience for me. I will definitely be back for more stays soon.

The caretakers were incredibly hospitable, providing exceptional service and delicious home-cooked Kashmiri meals. Whether enjoying kahwa on the balcony or playing with their dog Bruno, every moment felt magical. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and authentic stay in Kashmir!

Home away from home….

The place was very clean and spacious. The staff was very responsive and helpful and made the process very easy. The hosts were very helpful with connecting us to drivers. Location is amazing as it is very close to Dal Lake which is the highlight of Srinagar. Definitely found it to be worth the price and would recommend everybody to stay here. The view from the balcony in the master bedroom is stunning! Just ran in issues with the wifi a lot.
