Holiday rentals in Del Monte Forest

Susan was awesome with responding to any question we had! The place was perfect for our family to gather and stay together for my son’s wedding, which was just a few miles away. We highly recommend the home for a group!!! Thank you, Susan!!!!

We only stayed one night but will definitely be back to enjoy Seascape for more than a day. The unit was clean, comfortable & had a beautiful view. The staff helped us carry our luggage down the stairs without us even asking for help. Totally accommodating. The grounds are so well maintained & peaceful. We can’t wait to come back!

The Sea otter Cottage was such a dream! It was beautiful, cozy and was everything we wanted for a relaxing family vacation. it was very family friendly-the backyard was my toddlers dream. Would recommend 100% and definitely will book again!

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

Karin's place has a beautiful view, nice hot tub and outdoor shower area to use, and is a well stocked kitchen with everything you'd possibly need. We appreciated the location being between Carmel and Big Sur which allowed us to explore in both directions. My only complaint is that it is a very expensive stay - we paid $680/night for a shared space with owners on the same property and the many reminders about taking out the trash, not overusing electricity, and no shoes in the house. We are always respectful and treat everyone's place as we would our own - but felt like for the price point of what we paid, we shouldn't be asked to take the trash out, etc. Feels like for that price-point these things should all be included so we can relax without feeling like we needed to be mindful of every little detail. Again, great place, but it was definitely a big splurge for us!

Staying at Seascape was the perfect kid-friendly vacation. The pool was easy to access from our condo and the views were beautiful. The condo's set-up with two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs was great for our family of 5. The private beach was beautiful - we saw otters, whales, and my son found two perfect sand dollars walking down the beach. It was a little bit of a trek to get down to the beach with three little kids and all the beach gear, but once we were there no one wanted to leave. Several near-by restaurants were delicious, especially the newly opened Dos Pescados. It was fairly easy to get into Santa Cruz too, but we did have to time traffic or it would double the drive time (to almost 45 minutes).

Sometimes we look for an Airbnb as a place to stay to experience an area we're in. This last weekend the Airbnb we stayed in WAS the experience. Not only is it a one-of-a-kind place, it's a place that owes its character to the owners that made it all come to life. Sure the yurt is appointed with a beautiful bed, all the amenities you'd ever need and a setting to die for. However, Robin (and husband Mark) are what really made the whole experience come alive as we heard the history of their farm (more like an estate), the evolution of the yurt (and treehouse) and their world-class wines they produce - it all sets the backdrop for an incredibly special memorable place to stay. On the quiet property covered in vineyards, your vantage point affords you views of the surrounding mountains, the valley below, the ocean and points all around. So, if you're looking for a stay you'll tell everyone about and remember forever, we can't recommend enough Lago Lomita!

Chris is such a wonderful and thoughtful host. The place is beautiful, art-filled, and peaceful. Plus, Chris has thought of everything to make the place comfortable - from extra blankets, snacks, and even Tylenol in the bathroom. It's just down the road from a natural grocery store, restaurants, and beaches. I stayed with my small daughter while visiting Santa Cruz and the Monterrey Bay Aquarium and it was the perfect spot for us.
