Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Dent County

James was fantastic! We are locals to the area but are in transition of selling our house to buying property and developing it for us to live one. All that being said a winter storm hit our area. At the moment we are in a camper….we lost power due to ice and power lines down. I thought maybe someone would have an Airbnb around with a wood stove and this one did!!! We got in direct contact with James and he helped us out tremendously! It was nice to see all the wonderful comments about our small town and area in his guest book. It was a cozy, WARM stay. Just what we needed.

We stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids. This home is BEAUTIFUL and the pictures do not do it justice. My friends and I would love to come back and enjoy a nice weekend away.

Sarah was wonderful to deal with in our time of sorrow. We had to travel to town for a death in the family. The home was wonderful for our family of six. Once we arrived we received a big snow storm and Sarah allowed us to extend our stay an additional day to allow the roads to clear. The home had EVERY THING we could or would need!!!! They have thought of everything!!!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and Amber was proactive about sending directions and instructions to get in the house. The house was beautiful and very clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms were also very nice! Our only complaint was the wasps under the front porch were AWFUL we only used the front door once to get inside and had to use the back door the rest of our stay. We found many large wasps nests including nests in the kitchen window. We totally understand not being able to keep all bugs away in the country but knocking down the nests could have prevented them being so bad.

This is such a sweet little farmhouse. Plenty of space for the family, they even have a little kennel area built under the stairs for you pup! The master suite is GORGEOUS. So romantic (or would have been if we wouldn't have brought the kiddos). The kitchen is fabulous, living room is spacious. We didn't want to leave. When you wake up and look outside, the surrounding area is so peaceful. The stars are outrageous and you can hear the trickling creek from the porch. The gate is a little tough to handle but not a big deal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We were in town for my father’s funeral, and we needed a peaceful space to gather, mourn, and reminisce about him. The home itself was not only warm and inviting but thoughtfully designed. Every room felt like a serene retreat, with cozy touches and a sense of calm that was exactly what we needed. There were spacious areas for all of us to come together and share memories, as well as quiet corners where we could reflect and find some solace. We will forever remember this stay as a place that provided peace, a sense of home, and a beautiful backdrop to the precious moments we spent together honoring my father. Thank you for giving us the space to heal, reflect, and be together in such a meaningful way. It was more than just a place to stay; it was a place that helped us through one of the toughest times of our lives.

This place is amazing and we definitely want to come back. Jay was very hospitable and responsive. As others mentioned in their reviews, the professional kitchen in the common area really is great. We came down to Pine Valley with a big group for a float trip. Its was a huge relief that this property had everything we needed and more so we could just focus on spending time with each other. Oh, and we found a full size cornhole game with sandbags we played with too. Fun.

It was a local stay due to weather but I will recommend this to out of state family for their next trip. It is a peaceful, hidden gem in Salem. Everything was provided that you might need even doggie amenities were available. I cannot say enough kind words about the hosts, they were spectacular. If you come to Salem make this gorgeous property your rental choice!

I am so grateful I stayed at their beautiful cozy yurt in the forest for a peaceful winter weekend of hiking with my dog at the state parks close by. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved being unplugged in nature. Also, it's an amazing place to stargaze - the clear night sky was awe-inspiring with the brightest stars!! I highly recommend staying here, and I plan on coming back another weekend in the future!

The yurt was the most positive Airbnb experience we've ever had. It was clean, simple, and very pleasant to stay in for a night. We thought it would be a really nice place to have a family get together (especially if you were to rent out both yurts for extended family).

This is a great home nice back patio, nice neighborhood, easy to get to main roads nice restaurants and Wal-Mart down the road gas stations all right there and a great donut shop with a drive through. We would definitely stay here again.

Great little cottage in very quiet street. Well appointed and thoughtful touches. Easy and quick communication with host! Great alternative to a boring hotel
