Holiday rentals with lake access in Detroit River

This is by far our most favorite Air BnB that we’ve stayed at. The house was clean and cozy. We got snowed in and this was the perfect place to have that happen. I had everything I needed there to put together nice meals and the TV in the living room made for great movie nights. The game closet was a fun added bonus! The hot tub was pristine and we enjoyed sitting outside with the snow falling watching the snowmobiles zoom past on the lake. We will definitely be coming back when it warms up and to take advantage of the pontoon rental and enjoy a few days on the water. 10/10 stay!

Henry and April were an amazing host, they were super respectful and responsive. They were flexible and helpful for checking in as we had to check in a bit earlier due to winter storms. Whenever we had a any questions or help they were there quickly. The view and area was beautiful even in the winter and we enjoyed being there. Will definitely visit again in summer time.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Great privacy, cozy house and we loved the amenities of the fire pit and paddle boat. It was perfect for bringing our little one too, with a crib and toys available! We should have brought binoculars for all the cool birds and ducks we saw. There were even swans on the lake! I wish we could have stayed longer. The nearby town of Holly looks like it came straight out of a hallmark movie! It was so cute and had really amazing antique stores as well as some really great little restaurants we were able to try. I would move to this area in a second if I could!

We enjoyed a few days at Troy’s lake house. Contacted Troy about the Heat not being on but with a flip of a switch it warmed right up. Troy was very responsive during our stay. We will be back to enjoy in the warm weather!

Wow! What a view! We traveled to MI for my son’s wedding and needed a place to host us all. The property was beautiful. Charles was super responsive and helped with numerous questions in getting us settled. We had a fantastic stay! We had a mishap and forgot an item and Charles contacted me immediately. After a day of books, good grub, and solid Detroit vibes, we ended the night at Daniel’s for a comfortable, cozy evening. Daniel was responsive, friendly, and helped create a quality stay (+10 points for the Prince mag)!

Lisa has made a beautiful little getaway in the small town of Leamington! Their family was always friendly and very welcoming. Access to the park across the street and beautiful short walk to beach was so convenient and made the area feel more private as well. So relaxing and had everything you needed. It was a perfect getaway spot and I would highly recommend!

Enjoyed our time in the area. I'm from the lake area and enjoyed being centrally located to friends and family. Its a quiet location for the most part. Commonly refered to as a carriage house, located over the garage, you do here conversations and comings and goings of people adjacent to the property. We found everything we needed in the apartment. Bed was firm. which we enjoy, very cofortable. Linens were nice and served our stay well. Heating and cooling worked well and there was ample hot water. It takes a bit to reach the upstairs, but once it does, the pressure is good. Be aware that the stairway up is quite steep...may not be suitable for some. There are hand rails and a light in the stairway. There are a number of restaurants in the area...M29 diner is a favorite and Marine City Fish Company just up the river is also one of our area favorites. We would maybe stay here again if in the area, but think we prefer fully private dwellings.

This is the third time I've stayed and I've booked again for next year! I come into town for educational classes and this place is the perfect retreat outside of class times.

Olivia’s place was perfect for us. It was 4min to the arena where we were watching a hockey tournament. There is a convenience store and diner on the same block. Perfect for our needs. The unit is comfortable, we had everything we needed. Beautiful view. Many thanks.

very quick to respond. They remembered a promised DVD player was not there, offered to bring one the next day, but ordered one and had it delivered by 0800. Very welcoming home for a winter getaway of 4 friends. seating area nice for movie and Lions game watching. Plenty of VERY HOT water, for 4 showers! Bedrooms all upstairs as is the main bath. canal out the backside. ONLY NEGATIVE is the parking across the road. (the road is JUST beyond the front door) unloading and loading a little challenge, but doable. Definitely a comfortable home and great stay for a friend getaway.

What a great place for a getaway! Brandon’s space is super well-equipped with all the glasses, dishes, utensils, and gadgets you could ever need. I appreciated having a French press for slow coffee and the Keurig for a quick one. Both sunrise and sunset were beautiful, and we had great meals in Kingsville and Leamington. We also enjoyed wonderful walks at Hillman Marsh, Kopegaron Woods, and - of course - down the street at Point Pelee National Park. A great value stay given the location, views, space, fireplace, and, best of all, being pet-friendly so we could enjoy it with our dog. Thank you!

We had a a wonderful time. This was our second time here and we will definitely be back. There are so many Wineries and Breweries in the area and some fabulous authentic Mexican restaurants. The place was immaculate. We can’t wait to go back and explore in the summer!!

This was our second stay in Colchester at Devons place. It's a perfect location to escape the city and enjoy the peace and quiet of winter in this lovely little community. There are plenty of wineries and great food within a short drive and a local bar, restaurant and coffee shop within walking distance. We felt completely at home and the fire pit and gas fireplace an added bonus. We love the area and hope to return to Devons in the future.

This was our third stay and we enjoyed our weekend just as much as the first time. The place was clean and cosy with a great view. We watched the ice break up and collect against the shore like giant crystals sparkling in the sunshine.

We loved staying here for our girls weekend. We enjoyed the local wineries and sitting on the deck in the evening watching the sunset!

perfect place for a fishing trip!

We had a wonderful visit at Fran's place - the location was easy to access if you need to stay in the area and if staying in the summer it is right on the canal to the lake. It had a cozy decor (a new couch was just purchased), clean bathroom, beds and bedrooms, and the kitchen was stocked with all cooking supplies and updated appliances if you are cooking at home and not going out. There is an area for laundry which is an added bonus. Fran is always responsive to our needs and is a great host.
