Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Dorset

We had a wonderful Easter weekend in Salisbury! The home was cozy, beautifully kept, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short drive to town centre in salisbury to the cathedral and lovely local spots. Perfect for those who want a country lane and country trail walk to stonehenge! Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure we felt right at home. We’d happily come back again—highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hut. Fiona was a really great host who came out to us even though it was late and raining! The hut was super warm on arrival and it has an internal heater and towel rail which is nice. It was also nice to be welcomed with some baked goods which we enjoyed the next morning. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well. The hot tub was nice to relax in… you get all the stuff provided for it which is good and on previous experiences this isn’t always the case. We used the Fire pit and you get some cushions to use which are under the bed and extra blankets which again is really nice. It’s exceptionally well thought out and the lord of added extras make it really nice. Would deffo return

Already planning our next stay! We found the cabin really easily though it might be tricky if arriving in the dark. Absolutely fantastic location and surroundings. Beautiful views, peaceful, everything you need. It’s glamping so if you’re expecting that then you will be thrilled! Sat outside and had a drink in the sunshine, woke up to a herd of deer crossing the field in the morning. Plenty of great eateries around if you don’t fancy bbqing. The sky at night is absolutely stunning as you would imagine. Had everything we needed and stayed warm and cosy all night thanks to very good quality bedding and the little log burner. Cabin is cosy but we had enough space for our suitcase and the dogs crate too. Really special place and that’s coming from someone who’s not usually a camping/glamping girlie!

I had a lovely stay at Frank’s hut in Tilshead. It felt peaceful and private but Frank was a very responsive and helpful host. The hut itself was immaculate and cleverly designed to maximise space, with comforts like a nearby shower and underfloor heating. Added touches like brownies and breakfast tray were great. I fell asleep listening to rain on the roof and woke up to sheep and birdsong - bliss! Would love to return and explore the area more.

Both myself and my partner had a lovely weekend away in the new forest, our accommodation was lovely cozy and warm, thank you very much to Darren and Jax for letting us stay in their shepherds hut, such a beautiful and well looked after place you have there, it was clean and everything was easy to use, self checking in was easy and user friendly! Our visit to Moreton was made all the more memorable and special by how unique and perfect our stay in Ruth's shepherds huts was, staying here was the perfect combination of everything we wanted out of a weekend away rolled up into a very well presented and produced package that catered for pretty much every all we could of hoped and asked for, it was truly a pleasure to stop the two nights we had and found it such a relaxing and enjoyable experience to have the privacy and peace of the huts and the surrounding garden to unwind in and bask in the tranquility of it all, Ruth was a superb host and was very friendly and helpful along with always being on hand to assist with any potential issues so I would highly this place as somewhere you can't afford to miss out on if you are visiting this area.

This has to be one of the most beautiful places i've ever booked, we spent the Easter break here and literally could have never seen another sole all weekend if we wished. The shepherds hut is so well equipped and decorated, small but perfectly done. The bed was so comfy and it was lovely to lay in bed and look at the wonderful scenery all around. The outside bath was just perfect to lay back in and listen to nothing but the birds singing away. We grilled fish on the bbq and sat around the chimenea, it was just the most exquisite place to chill out. Leave the gate open for the chickens to visit, they are absolutely fascinating to watch, feed them a little bread and they follow you around each day. We had the most amazing time here, you will not be disappointed.

A nice and spacious little hut, perfect for our small family of four. The kids absolutely loved having Alexa in the room and enjoyed the big garden outside with the chickens. The weather wasn’t in our favour when we arrived, but we were blessed with a bit of sunshine the next morning and we made the most of it! Iain and Victoria were wonderful hosts. Their quick response time and kind, humble attitude made us feel like guests in their own home. Thank you so much for everything you’re doing in the best interest of your guests. Our one night break was truly delightful, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and family friendly getaway.

Andrea’s Shepherds Hut in Somerset was an absolute delight, I had a wonderful week there with my two dogs. A unique, stylishly set out and cosy hut with everything you need for a hideaway holiday, complemented by an easy to light woodburner stove for chilly spring mornings and an outdoor fire for the evenings. Lovely hot showers by a tree in the bathroom next to the hut too! All very special! The location was just stunning, with a bluebell woodland just behind the hut and stone sculptures in the garden. Andrea and Tom were so welcoming and Andrea was a wonderful and thoughtful host with lots of suggestions for things to do. Trips to Montecute and Barrington Court (both of Wolf Hall fame), Burrow Hill Cider Farm, the Feed Station in Merriott, Yandles just down the road to name just a few, and many walks out in the surrounding countryside with the dogs. I can highly recommend Andrea’s Shepherds Hut and can’t wait to return hopefully later in the year.

The hut was perfect! So cozy and clean! We really enjoyed the little fireplace and the marshmallows and coffee/milk! There were little lambs in the field too! Sarah was very helpful and responsive and the instructions/directions were very easy to follow! We’d definitely stay again!

We had such a lovely stay at the hut. The place was clean and tidy. It’s such a great location and so quiet. We would definitely stay again next time we’re in the area. Georgina was such a lovely host, always very responsive to questions we had. Would definitely recommend staying.

Absolutely loved our stay. Having our morning coffee with the deer and the views of the heath was a petstart to the day. Even though it rained one of the days it was cosy and we stayed in the hut playing cards. Beds were super comfy and we slept really well. the experience was great!

We stayed for 2 nights at Nick and Fi’s beautiful hut. It exceeded our expectations - everything was to an extremely high specification and the hut is much bigger than the pictures seem. The bed and linens are so comfortable and the cooker and other kitchen appliances and crockery are all of a high standard. The shower is powerful and hot, much better than we expected for a hut! The location is within great distance to all local towns, you can drive anywhere within around 15-20 mins and the local pub is delicious. The dogs and horses in the field made for a beautiful view and the whole stay was easy, peaceful and simply beautiful. Thank you Fi for being so accommodating, the touches such as fresh bread, eggs, jam, fruit and chocolates are very appreciated. We will definitely be returning if we are to ever visit the new forest again.

Incredible spot! Really enjoyed our time here, very peaceful and lovely surroundings. Hot tub was exceptional, Clive was very helpful and attentive. Would recommend for any couple looking for time away in the countryside.

A wonderful stay. Mike and Anna are the perfect hosts, I cannot fault their communication and help with settling us in. The accommodation is peaceful and serene with a stylish mix of old and new. We had a truly lovely stay, thank you x (Minor note, the track to access the property is narrow, steep and bumpy. Would suggest a 4x4. A lowered car may struggle. Hope that’s helpful and certainly not a criticism.)

Myself & my daughter had a very memorable stay in the shepherd’s hut. It was so lovely & cosy & having the hot tub for the evening was great fun. Overall it was a lovely experience. Thank you!

Our stay was perfect - the hut is even better than described, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and set in the most peaceful surroundings. Every little detail had been thought of to make us feel completely at home. We were welcomed with fresh milk, eggs, tea, and coffee, which was such a lovely touch and made settling in feel so easy and thoughtful. It was clear a lot of care had gone into creating a relaxing space for guests. We left feeling refreshed - highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Emily’s shepherd’s hut. The hut itself was beautiful and had everything we needed, as well as a lovely wood burning stove, a comfy bed and lots of natural light and ambiance. The area around the Airbnb is beautiful and very peaceful. Emily was so responsive and friendly and even picked us up and dropped us off at the station! We will be visiting again very soon 🥰

We had a relaxing and peaceful weekend in the shepherd hut! We woke up to see wildlife and especially pheasants strolling past our door. It was well located near lymington.

We had a wonderful stay at Angela’s. A luxurious and romantic cabin with everything we could’ve needed. ‘Holly’ has a super comfy bed and we loved the wood fired hot tub, log burner and wildlife on the doorstep. Watching the stars at night from the hot tub was magical! We would definitely come again and recommend to our friends. Angela was really helpful and friendly and she has done a fab job with the cabin and fitting everything in to the space in a clever and stylish way. Thank you for an amazing and memorable weekend.
