Holiday rentals with lake access in Douglas County

The entire stay was peaceful and relaxing. The description of the place was spot on. This was our first experience and we loved every bit of it. Will definitely book again. Would highly recommend the stay!

We had a wonderful stay! David was a great host. We had our dogs Cal and Mable along for the trip. Cal and Mable made a new friend Davids dog Jack. Jack was such a sweetheart. Good times were made playing in the lake and sitting around the campfire. I highly recommend.

The Twin Port Resort was the perfect spot to spend our weekend away. The home was clean and had plenty of room for our crew of friends. The sauna was very enjoyable! Would definitely recommend Al’s home to others.

Adorable home with one of the best water pressure in the shower! Loved the provided shower supplies! 3 season porch was my favorite spot for coffee! Bed was very firm and perfect for back sleepers. Right in town so convenient to a lot of different places.

This is our second time staying at Williams home in Duluth. It is spacious, clean and well equipped with everything we need for a week of relaxation. The home is furnished with items to start the week without having to run to the store. The beach is close and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful apartment with an incredible location. The bedroom setup was great for our family as well. Kevin was super responsive and a great host. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice stay at this lovely home. Host provided very good instructions prior to arrival. House is very clean, modern, and comfortable. Great location to spend time in Duluth and head up the coast. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to return someday.

What a wonderful place to stay in Duluth! On the shore of Lake Superior with amazing views. Great restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. The home is extremely quiet and beautifully appointed with everything one would need and sparking clean. Off-street parking is a big plus. We can’t wait come back in the summer and sit on the covered deck overlooking the bay, kick back with some beverages and watching the freighters come and go.

I had just the BEST stay. Beautifully appointed, incredibly clean and well-maintained and absolutely perfect surroundings! I loved being so close to the beach, too. I especially appreciated how quick and responsive the host was and how willing they were to accommodate requests. They also put together a very thoughtful/helpful welcome binder with everything you’d need to know and great local recommendations. I can’t say enough good things about my stay here and look forward to coming back!

The whole experience was rad! Very accommodating, the spot awesome, quiet, met the neighbors they were cool, close everything. Perfect for a couples get away! Don’t look anywhere else in Duluth, just stay here. We will Be going back.

This rental has it all for any couple who wants to experience the beauty of Lake Superior and be able to walk to just about everything in Duluth. We explored the North Shore by car during the day and the city by foot in the evening. The view is so mesmerizing it's hard to close the curtains at night and miss the early sunrise, if you're lucky you can watch a ship passing through the famous lift bridge too.

I’ve been traveling to the shore of Lake Superior for 20 years. I have stayed in many different locations, this was probably the best. Absolutely peaceful and cozy, yet modern and elegant. It was also very unique.

Staying at Carl's place was exactly what we expected. Beach access and a nice quiet space to rest and relax. If you love Duluth this is a great place to call home during your stay. Carl was proactive and sent me inductions for accessing the apartment, it was exactly as advertised; very clean with all the amenities we needed. On our trip through Duluth we got into an accident and Carl was very understanding and allowed us a late checkout to rest up after a long night. We will definitely be returning to Duluth and look forward to staying with Carl again.

Beautiful stay! We came up in the middle of a cold snap and found out the pipes froze. Emily and Austin were amazing about responding right away on a Friday night and came to address it through snowy conditions. They ended up moving us to another cabin so we could be comfortable while they fixed the pipes. Frozen pipes happen in Minnesota, so no big deal. I felt very pleased and considered with how they handled the situation. Thank you!!

We had such a wonderful stay over Christmas while visitng family. It was short notice, and Ed was kind to accommodate quickly and it was so appreciated. The cabin is very much as described, a nice balance of beautiful, rustic original feels of days gone by with the wood burning stone fireplace, and the quaint kitchen. It's clear there have been many upgrades as well, and all that aside, the gorgeous wall of windows over looking the lake, the yard space for our pups, will make us return guests if we are able. Such a wonderful place! Highly recommend!

The cabin was comfortable and we loved the location. Its right off of a quiet beach and walking distance from the pier; it really is the best of both worlds! We highly recommend staying here. Kathy was great to work with.

If you’re looking for a rustic experience, close to the big lake to share with your loved ones, both human and canine, this is the place for you! Clean, well organized, every thing you need to cook your favorite meals and a comfy bed for a great night sleep. My wife and I and our pooch had a great North Shore vacation here!

The cottage was clean, quiet and the perfect get-away. The view of the lake was spectacular and it is a 5 min drive to downtown Duluth. We will definitely be back!

We stayed Brian’s Dowling Lakefront Lodge with my husband’s family to celebrate Christmas! We had a wonderful stay, the cottage had everything we needed and more for our stay. The game room was a big hit and the younger kiddos even enjoyed sledding on the lake. The listing is as shown - the house has so much character and the bedrooms all have different sleeping arrangements which worked great for our group. There are 2.5 bathrooms but only 1 shower but that was not an issue for our group. The game table in the family room provided an extra spot for multiple game options. The property was easy to find thanks to the clear instructions/directions Brian provided. He was a very responsive host and easy to work with! We went to Bentleyville and we also went to Manitou Falls. Fantastic stay, we will be back! Thank you!

I had a great state and stay there again in the future, as it was perfectly described and was perfect for me and my situation that weekend. It was also pretty amazing to be that close to Lake superior on possibly the coldest couple days or nights of the year from what I’m understanding! But despite freezing temps outside the cottage was on point in that it was affordable beautifully, located outside of all the hustle and bustle of a city as big and small as Duluth and the way, it could’ve been better was if I could’ve laid on the couch all weekend as opposed to working for most of it! I had a bit of trouble trying to figure out which one was mine in the dark, and I feel like the wording used to provide guidance in locating that specific cottage might have been a bit confusing or it also could have just been me. All things considered, those 2 minutes I was uncertain resulted in a complete non-issue and the cottage, its location and the people associated with it were top notch!

Great place to stay. Small but had what I needed except wifi. It is a duplex which I didn't realize so it was a smaller area than I expected but nice.
