Family-friendly holiday rentals in England

Had a lovely few days stay. Was a very tranquil location and very relaxing. Stopping by to see the animals on site was a wonderful experience. The kitchen was equiped with enough pans to make meals while we stayed there. The shop was a wonderful touch to pick up produce from the farm or just a few ammenities that might be needed. So relaxing to sit in the hot tub in the evening after exploring local attractions which have very helpfully been highlighted in a small guide. Looking to return in summer to make full use of the bbq on site and firepit.

What an amazing place Scott has , the location is perfectly located to many walking routes and so much more! We went out on a few walks and coming back to Scott's place was exactly what we needed , home away from home , hot tub to relax in . The apartment is beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. Whatever your reason for staying there the apartment will certainly cater to that! We absolutely loved our stay, Thank you Scott and will certainly love to return again as we have a few more walking routes to conquer! Regards Gene , Rachel and Bentley

We cannot recommend staying here enough. From the ease of check in, the gorgeous location, the lovely host and not to mention the fact it’s dog friendly (Remmy had an absolute blast!). It is the perfect place for a quiet weekend away

We had an amazing time at the hut - exactly as shown and perfect for a quick getaway The bed is incredibly comfortable and cosy, has windows overlooking the field and has a great projector The hot tub is perfectly positioned to enjoy a view of the horses playing in the field, gets sun all day, it heats up fairly quickly and is easy to set up. Lynden was lovely too! She called once we’d arrived to make sure we settled in well and answered any questions, was incredibly responsive the entire time, she even gave us a tour on our last day of the farm and let us help with and pet the horses which was definitely one of the highlights! We really enjoyed hearing all of her stories about the animals and their history, you can feel how well cared for all of the animals are and if offered the chance to meet them, should absolutely go for it! I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, have already recommended it to some of the animal lovers in my family and would love to stay here again!

This was just absolutely lovely - a wee hideaway with a hot-tub under the stars, set in a wooded valley filled with spring flowers. There's a short trek up to the cabin, which is set slightly beyond the cottage and other cabin on site, looking out over the hillside. The cabin is bright and well-equipped, with a small but entirely adequate kitchen, a good shower, and even a film projector and screen. There were considerate touches throughout - clear instructions for the hot-tub and barbeque, walking maps of the area, outdoor towels, a cart to help move luggage up the track. Lindsay was both very helpful and very happy to give us space. I really cannot recommend this highly enough, one of the best places I have ever stayed.

Exactly what we were looking for! My partner and I wanted a two night stay in the countryside with a cosy, smart and relaxing place to stay and this is exactly what we got! Kate was extremely helpful from the point of booking all the way through till the end only being a message away if we needed something or couldn’t figure out how something worked! Thank you Kate! The place is lovely and we couldn’t fault it. All the amenities you might need with a comfy bedroom, very smart and aesthetically pleasing bathroom and lounge as well as the nice addition of the hot tub and sauna! With Padstow and other places around a 30 minute drive away you can spend the day out or equally stay at the cottage and relax. No complaints from us and would throughly recommend to anyone looking at staying here. Just book it! Many Thanks, Will & Alice :)

An amazing stay! The Airbnb had absolutely stunning views that made every morning and evening a dream. The location was perfect—close to everything yet peaceful enough to relax and unwind. It was also great for dogs, with plenty of space and nearby areas for walks. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great getaway!

Kids loved it! Its so amazing we didn't want to leave especially loved the piano record player and all the board games. I now know how to play every game there is! . We had so much fun like living in a piece of art and loved the treasure hunt and boat bed my son felt like a pirate pulling it up and down with the chain thanks so much will defo be back 🎨👌💕🐟🛥️

I would happily give this an 11/10 rating. From the start, Larissa was approachable and friendly. The property was lovely, with quality fittings and furnishings. The location was ideal for visiting numerous places. Parking was right next to the property, on a large private drive. A welcome pack included breakfast cereals in jars, as well as fruit juice - a lovely touch. The icing on the cake for us, was that Larissa and her Husband had researched local WW2 remains, as well as cycle routes (as they knew that was why we were staying there), and left us a lovely letter with ideas of where to go, as well as relevant leaflets tied up with a ribbon - Above and beyond expectations. Swallows cottage was perfect for our girls weekend. We were so glad to have good weather to enjoy the gorgeous patio area with bbq. The kitchen was so well prepared with all the essentials we needed and more. The living room and kitchen are so spacious and we loved the carefully considered decor. Izzy provided excellent info and suggestions locally, and was really responsive to any questions we had. We'll definitely be keeping this place in mind for future trips.

Louise's Hideaway is a slice of Sussex heaven. The property is stunning, and the treetop view offers the most wonderful opportunity to watch a range of birds. I arrived pretty confident in my ability to identify robins and starlings - ;) - but can now recognise chiffchaffs and firecrests! Even the most reluctant ornithologists will be entertained. The Hideaway is also stylish and spacious, with various woodland walks on the doorstep. Louise's reflexology treatment is healing and relaxing too. I can't imagine a better place to unwind, or more welcoming hosts. Thank you, Louise. I hope to return.

The longboat was exactly the experience we were hoping for - great mooring spot w/water fowls to enjoy, yet easy access to town and all of the historic sites. Alan is a very attentive host, ensuring we have everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The weather and the river were beautiful for our stay, we even got to enjoy the stars at night from the boat. We enjoyed everything about our stay in Oxford. Be prepared to take some responsibility for the boat and accommodations, Alan makes it very easy on you, and you should have a great time!

We had a wonderful time at Hope Cottage! From the moment we arrived we felt right at home in the idyllic surroundings of France Lynch. The cottage was perfect, so full of character and very cosy, and Sarah was brilliant to communicate with throughout. The Kings Head at the end of the road is well worth a visit - very friendly locals! We'd highly recommend a stay in Hope Cottage and hope to return soon!

We love finding unusual places to stay, and I’ve never seen anywhere like this in our budget! I have two teenage girls and it was lovely to see them exploring the house and grounds instead of being on their phones, playing the piano, playing chess and snooker, even reading the books in the library. We had peacocks siting by the kitchen windows and horses outside. All the bedrooms are massive and beautiful with very comfortable beds. We will definitely try to come back with the rest of the family.

The whole idea of the stay we was wanted was to escape, and that we did. It was incredible to be able to wake up to incredible views and scenery. Everything that was described and photos are exactly as they are, if anything don’t do it enough justice.. if you haven’t been, you are truly missing out on this incredible stay..!! We will be back !!!!

We had a wonderful time at Julie‘s place. The check-in was really easy and Julie is extremely helpful and provided us with very clear instructions and kept in touch with us till we were able to check in successfully. She has a pristine home with everything you need and the Property is extremely clean , well maintained. Has all the amenities you need and a beautiful gorgeous view of the water and the cliffs. It was totally worth spending our long weekend! Will come back again!

Susie is an amazing host - we got a warm greeting on arrival, the house / local information provided was really helpful and the cottage / location were amazing. The wood burning fires were great for this time of year and there was lots to do for our son on a rainy day - ping pong, pool, and plenty of other games. The local walks are great and we would highly recommend the Rising Sun for food!! The stairs are a great feature and in keeping with the cottage but not kid friendly - so we accompanied our boy up and down the stairs. We definitely want to go back for when the pool and tennis court are open in the summer 😊

A lovely place and loads to do just in the extensive grounds. Can imagine coming back in the summer as the kids would love it.

I booked to stay at the cottage for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The communication between myself and Tim & Maite was great. They were always responsive and super helpful. The photos of the house don't do it justice. It’s such a lovely area and although you may see the occasional walker in the distance, you feel like your'e in the middle of nowehere. The hot tub was a great addition to the property, especially since the pool at the house was not available due to it being out of season and super cold, as explained prior to our arrival. We ( and the kids) loved the house, loved the fire, loved the hot tub, loved the games, We played the family edition of Cards Against Humanity and it was just a lovely relaxing family weekend away without computer games - it was bliss. The perfect setting and in my husbands words - it was the perfect find! Thank you so much to Tim and Maite for such a wonderful stay.

Rosalind and Hugh were great hosts and made us feel at home right from the get go. The Flat is in beautiful surroundings and our hosts made sure we knew the best local spots. The little touches made the flat really nice for a weekend away and we had everything we needed including our patio. A special mention goes to Hugh’s homemade marmalade and the homemade bread that greeted us on our arrival. Would highly recommend!

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!
