Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Esterillos Este

A true jungle experience! Axel has created a wonderfully isolated escape for those looking to get away from it all. He's a great host, always available to share his knowledge (or take you for an excursion) but also giving you space to enjoy the quiet and solitude.

The location would have been difficult to find so Johann met us in Parrita and we were able to follow him, so arrival at the right location was uneventful. We found Johann and Elke to be great hosts as they respected our privacy yet were always available anytime we wanted to contact them. They were more than willing to answer any questions, provide us with everything we needed for our stay. In addition, the sofa upon arrival was broken and once Johann was informed he went out the following day and purchased a new one for us as well as providing us with a brand new microwave. The pool was great, scenery was awesome. We found it to be a peaceful, relaxing surrounding.

We had a great time here! We stayed 3 weeks and everything was perfect.

Silvia’s place was amazing for a peaceful beach weekend. Andres was extremely responsive and helpful to whatever we needed. The house was cozy and the outside was beautiful. We loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen and enjoyed the pool. The landscaping was gorgeous and loved listening to the birds. The beach is private and peaceful. Just be careful not to go in too deep as the currents are strong. The kitchen was well equipped with appliances. We even saw monkeys on our last day and many Scarlett macaws. We would stay here again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Tweed! Danny was a wonderful host - he was very responsive and answered any questions we had. We felt very much at home and enjoyed our time chilling in and around the house as much as the activities, restaurants, views and exploring!

We had a wonderful stay at Wendy's place in Playa Agujas. The property was exactly as advertised – spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus, making it easy to enjoy the sun and surf. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Highly recommend this property!

🌿✨Jenn and Danny’s butterfly sanctuary is exactly what they say it is! From the moment we stepped into this beautiful oasis, we felt like we were in a tropical paradise. The jungle vibes are real, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers greeting us at every turn. The sounds of hummingbirds serenaded us throughout our stay, creating the ultimate relaxing soundtrack and the butterflies danced around us like confetti, adding a magical touch to our adventure! Oh, and we even spotted a family of squirrel monkeys swinging through the trees—talk about an eye-full! Jenn and Danny’s place is not just a stay; it’s an experience. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a getaway that’s equal parts peaceful and full of life, don’t sleep on this gem! We can’t wait to return. We were greeted by David and Penelope upon arrival with a warm welcome. We stayed on the ground level in the 2 bedroom suite with our own kitchenette however we received two wonderful meals per day with request. Our hosts were wonderful, informative, and accommodating arranging for a monkey tour through the Mangroves by boat and informed us of the tortuga release just down the beach from where we were staying so we could take the easy 5 minute walk to watch the release. Oh, speaking of the beach, it was amazing to have such an amazing expanse to walk wash day. We couldn't be more happy with our decision to stay with David and Penelope. Looking forward to our next stay with them.

Everything is always great. Perfect location, and room couldn’t be cleaner.

Gustavo is the best host. The condo is amazing. Very beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Gustavo had immediate answers to any questions we had. You can get anywhere within the resort in a minute or two with a golf cart. I recommend hiring the private chef at least once. The airbnb kitchen was fully equipped for the chef to prepare a world class dinner. The electronic keypad entry makes it very simple for multiple guests to come and go. The beds were comfortable. Many times we needed to contact the host at late hours and he responded immediately with no problems. When we come back to Costa Rica we are definitely booking this condo again. Thank you so much Gustavo for an incredible experience!

I cannot say enough about Leyla and Ramin's paradise on Earth! My boyfriend and I stayed in Casa Rumi for a few nights and from the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the beauty, peace, and luxury of Casa Rum. The interior decoration is impeccable, gorgeous and so much attention to detail! The whole apartment has floor to ceiling glass windows so we were immersed in the most amazing natural surrounding with monkeys swinging tree to tree, chickens and roosters roaming the grounds, and the cutest cats coming up to say "hello." At night we fell asleep to the sounds of nature coming in through the top of the walls (which are open (but netted against insects) - fantastic experience! We booked the wood burning sauna and ice bath - if you love saunas, this is glorious in the middle of the paradise, as the sauna looks out onto the property in all its glory. The cherry on top were the owners, Leyla and Ramin - the most gracious, interesting, and lovely couple. AMAZING PLACE!!!!

Evelio and his father run this delightful cabin community in the mountains. They even have a restaurant on site! In the morning Evelio hiked with me up to the waterfall.

The Santa Marta restaurant across the street is amazing too

Beautiful place, better than the photographs, excellent to get away to rest, ideal for going as a couple. The village is very nice with friendly people

Wow! I cannot say enough good things about this place! Quiet, serene setting, EXCELLENT birding from the porch thanks to a private feeder and stream nearby. The house was beautiful and had so many thoughtful touches! If you want to experience this area and avoid the crowds of Jaco, this is the place!
