Holiday rentals in Etwall

This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Great location for meeting up with family for Alton Towers. Plenty of space, ample parking, cottage had everything we needed & Melanie was very responsive

We stayed for five days in Fox Cottage. The accomodation was so welcoming, cosy and clean and the hosts friendly, informative welcoming and responsive Within one day our children our children wanted to come back. The cottage is:- - very conveniently located for local amenities and towns. - in a very peaceful location with enviable views which the picture window the photographs highlights - was spotless throughout and turned out with modern high quality furnishings - had lots of welcoming details (toiletries) which made for a welcoming and special experience - was frequented by two very friendly cats which the children adored - had a very peaceful private garden/deck which will be lovely when warm Should we return to the peak District we will first look to book Fox Cottage

Corinne’s place was idyllically situated with beautiful views. The cabin was well equipped although a couple of extra mugs would have been good. Corinne is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful and the welcome goody bag was very thoughtful. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was fabulous. Sitting on the decking in the sun looking out across the countryside was beautiful. I would definitely recommend Corinne’s place. Cleaning could have been more thorough. The kitchen area and bathroom were spotless but there was a lot of dust on ledges and lots of cobwebs which was disappointing. The sofa was also repaired with tape and had dodgy springs. This did not spoil our stay but is worth noting.

Lovely cosy cottage Lovely sitting area in the garden with fabulous views. Everything we needed was there! Local shop and pubs within walking distance of about 5 minutes.

A great place to stay, a lovely well equipped cottage, with fantastic views and friendly and responsive hosts. There's lots to do in Matlock Bath, we had a great time here.

The property is lovely and cosy, a very nice welcome with biscuits and Prosecco aswell after a long day of travelling, the field behind leads on to lovely walks with the dog also. The host was very helpful prior to arriving and was flexible with check in times also. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and family in the future!

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

Lovely little place half an hour drive from peak district garden is great for dogs and was really secure hut is really small so just keep that in mind and don't overpack Loved the hot tub/fire pit/ BBQ and the weather thankfully held out for us! would stay here again :)
