Great Location - handy to beach, Waitangi and Paihia - all very walkable! The host was very helpful and we were able to check in at 1.00 pm which was fabulous. The room was quite spacious, clean and had everything we needed - the washing machine was particularly useful. Thanks

One of the things that’s hard about finding a place in a new place is the sense of relative distances. We were further outside of town than we had expected, but man was it worth it. The views down to the bay were spectacular. And being from the northern hemisphere, the night sky is of particular interest. We were lucky with high pressure, so being just far enough outside of town gave us breathtaking star gazing. Jo was so helpful in making suggestions for places to see, quickly able to help us prioritize based on the way we roll, a good mix of walking and driving, a wonderful resource and real hospitality pro. Already looking forward to our next visit.

The Loft is a remarkable place! If you are thinking about staying here, don’t delay and book. The Loft delivered, and exceeded, all our expectations! It is immaculate, well equipped and has every amenity you could want for your stay. We used it as our base to explore the Bay of Islands and it was perfectly situated. Evenings spent enjoying the bay view from the balcony and eating yummy food at nearby dinning options. Anita Jane is a fantastic host. Super responsive, helpful and guided us well. One of our best AirBnb experiences!

An absolute dream house! Stunning apartment with a gorgeous view. You definitely feel like spending a holiday with style :) Breakfast at Seaside restaurant are mind blowing! Best coffee in town. The place was great and our stay was amazing, if anything it actually looks better than the photos! Dave and Jane were super helpful and made checking in a breeze even though we ended up getting in quite late at night.

John’s place was absolutely fantastic—exactly what we were looking for! The location, right next to the ferry in Opua, couldn’t have been more convenient, giving us easy access to explore the area, whether by ferry, boat, or car. The boathouse is a truly unique experience, built right on the water, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our stay. It was such a treat to wake up and hear the gentle sounds of the water just below us. The accommodation was spotless, with the kitchen and bathrooms immaculately clean, which made us feel right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every detail of the space was thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. We appreciated how well-stocked and organized everything was, from the kitchen essentials to the fresh linens. John was an excellent host, always responsive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!!

We’ve stayed at a few places in Russell and this one definitely has the best view!! The whole house is extremely squeaky clean and has all the amenities you need for as many days as you wish. It was great to meet Colin and Marion - they are wonderful hosts - available, but left us to ourselves. While only 3 of us, the space would be completely comfortable for 6. As Superhosts ourselves, we know how much effort goes into maintaining a property like this - well worth the stay!!

Definitely we would love to stay in this beautiful place again , the house has an amazing vibe, we really felt like we were at home, we didn’t bother go out it was perfect just staying there.

Words cannot even describe this gem of a home Beautiful and well functioning layout with all rooms facing the ocean, open floor planning and top notch equipment everywhere. Furniture is modern, clean and feels like a hotel. The view over Bay of Islands is nothing short of breathtaking. Kip and Lynn and their sweet dog Rosie were amazing hosts and had purchased cheese, crackers and champagne for our arrival. They went out of their way to make us feel at home - which we most certainly did. An amazing place which we will forever be greatfull to have experienced.

Perfect location, and enough things to do in the area to keep you occupied for days and days, found it hard to leave Northland! Hoping to come back here for a longer visit. Friendly neighbours and a gorgeous view

Chester and Louise AirB&B was great. Ideal accommodation for 4 couples. Fantastic views and close to the beach. Perfect for a morning swim. They were friendly hosts and lived nearby. Highly recommend and would definitely book again.

One of the most beautiful Airbnb's we have ever stayed at! The views are incredible all day long with stunning sunsets and amazing stargazing. We had the most amazing stay at The Beach Bach during our wedding week! The house was the perfect setting for getting ready, with breathtaking views that made for stunning first-look photos on the balcony. The separate main rooms were ideal, allowing me some peaceful moments before the big day while everyone else got ready in the spacious main lounge.Was everything and more what we needed.Jane was an incredible host—so helpful and communicative throughout our stay. She even went the extra mile and made us the most delicious Afghan cookies! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to start our wedding celebrations. Highly recommend this beautiful spot! Will visit you again for sure!
