This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

The cabin was absolutely wonderful exactly how the pictures describe cozy comfortable everything you need for a wonderful stay. I would caution. The river looks much closer than it is. It’s a beautiful view, but walking down to it is probably not something most people are going to want to do. I was content to make s’mores and sit by the fire. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone that wants a quiet peaceful getaway Lynchburg was a very easy drive. If you want to go into town for anything. The beds were comfortable. All of the linens were provided. The kitchen is fully stocked. The TV is wonderful and intuitive and easy to use. Have only great things to say about this place. Would definitely put this on my list of places to stay again.

Our group stayed here during a weekend of skiing! It was so nice to come back to this cozy cabin and play games or relax in the hot tub. There was everything you needed in this place. Also, Candice was very friendly and flexible when messaging her prior to us staying. Would stay here again!

Breathtaking location perfect for a private getaway. You will not believe how beautiful the area is until you see it! The house itself is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Worth the trip! We would love to return

The Empty Nest was a peaceful escape for our family of 8. Plenty of open space around the home, a spacious in the living room for family games, and a well-equipped kitchen that met our needs. The hot tub and fire pit are excellent amenities to the home. The host was very responsive to our questions and needs! I highly recommend this stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are absolutely in love with the cabin and the property surrounding it. The pictures don’t do it justice for how lovely everything is. Everything you could want and need. Stayed here twice now and am looking forward to staying many more times!

This was a trip I got for my parents (in their 50s) and they had a wonderful time despite the weather being less than ideal (super rainy). When they got home they were happy and excited to share the adventure. Even went as far as to say they saw a glimpse of what their retirement could look like. So, I highly recommend as a gift to someone who enjoys the peace and serenity of the outdoors with someone they love (or go with you and your loved one if you enjoy that stuff as well)

this was our fourth time staying at Sally and John's cabin, and as usual we felt right at home curling up by the fire. We appreciated that since we've last been at the cabin they upgraded the heater in the bedroom (definitely helpful as it got very cold out second night!) and added a full bed in the upstairs loft (a great place to sleep, including a nearby outlet, if you're too hot). We love coming here and would love to come back! 😃

John was excellent about communicating while we stayed at the house. And when the snow got my buddy’s car stuck he came to the rescue. Couldn’t ask for more.

The stay was nice and the whole ordeal was very easy from getting there to checking in and then leaving. The fire pit and screen door were my favorite part of my stay.

Spent New Year's with my husband and two Yorkies nestled deep in the woods, and it was everything I hoped for—and more! The property is surrounded by towering trees, offering a sense of tranquility and seclusion that's hard to come by. The bed deserves a special mention— it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We spent all three days hiking some of the best trails and relaxed comfortably watching TV in the evenings with a nice glass of Malbec. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort, this Airbnb is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning! Thank you Jerry and Chris.

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

Absolutely beautiful property! Very private, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed walking the trails with our dog and since we had mostly rain, relaxing in front of the fireplace reading and listening to music. We did venture out to walk the Chessie Trail, see the Natural Bridge, cross the James River on the footbridge, and check out Lexington downtown area. Would love to come back in another season. Everything was great for a nice weekend getaway. Very private, the dogs were able to run through the woods with no worries. We decided to drive to the wineries which were about an hour away. The deck and fire pit were perfect to watch the sunset over the valley! The gas stove wasn't working but he had a nice electric burner to cook on. Overall the place looked very new and was very clean!

We absolutely loved our stay at Megan's cabin, and this was our second time visiting! The cabin is a perfect getaway—peaceful, serene, and surrounded by stunning views that never get old. The cabin is well-stocked with basic supplies if you forgot something. Whether we were enjoying the views or cooking meals over a fire, everything was just perfect. We’ll definitely be back for a third stay! Highly recommend this cozy retreat!

Great stay here and Bryan was really accommodating when we booked the stay last minute upon deciding to extend our Christmas holiday and take another day off after visiting family. We brought our two dogs with us. It’s a beautiful secluded spot - perfect for relaxing. The grill was perfect too and we used the charcoal side to make burgers one night. We enjoyed an outing to Blue Mountain Barrel House to have a beer and lunch by the fire pit in the cold weather.

Great stay! Enjoyed the location and surrounding neighborhood. It was nice and quiet. The house was perfect while we relocated to the area. Everything we needed please more. The hosts were very proactive with all of the communication and made us feel welcomed. We will definitely stay again if we get a chance.
