Mohamed's AirBNB was an exceptional experience - not just because the place was beautiful, well furnished with everything we could possibly need but the staff that work there are extremely friendly and helpful. Mohamed greeted us at the jetty, checking beforehand if we needed any help with transportation (we did end up needing help as our ferry got cancelled - he was able to secure 2 seats in a short amount of time during a very busy period). He gave us an introduction to the island. Naathi the local guide here was also happy to show us around and take us snorkelling and fishing, teaching us the local lingo. They also had a chef Malu on site that made us food when we asked for it. Everyone was very attentive and kind, taking us to the cafe as well for a chat. The room and bathroom are very well equipped with a mini fridge and water provided, and a very comfortable and quaint place. We enjoyed our stay very much, and will definitely be coming back.

Abdulla was an extraordinary host. The house was beautiful and throughout the stay we were assisted by Ali who lives very close to the house. Our every wish was fulfilled in record time. The island is small but very beautiful. The inhabitants are friendly and kind, we made friends with everyone and it was like being at home. The house is impeccable, the most beautiful house on the island. We already plan to return next winter. Abdulla's courtesy and efficiency left us speechless. We regenerated, relaxed and enriched ourselves with a culture so different from ours, with slow but at the same time efficient rhythms of life. We stayed at this guesthouse for 3 nights! I had a wonderful experience blending in with the locals on an island with few tourists. The food was also delicious, and the dishes using rice, bonito, and tuna suited Japanese people's tastes very well! Perfect for those who want to relax, unwind, and quietly enjoy nature. It was very refreshing and healing to have the sense of being part of the family and being able to play and do activities every day. The stars in the night sky were also the most beautiful. There is a daily ferry from Male, the capital, and the airport to Goidhoo, and I asked her to book a round-trip ferry ticket. Breakfast was included in the price of the stay, but they will prepare other meals if you ask. (Please note that there are only 1 or 2 restaurants on the island). The guesthouse also proposes daily activities taking into account the weather and other factors, so I was able to have various experiences without having to book individual tours! In addition to the accommodation fee, I paid a total of $195 for the ferry, meals, and activities (snorkeling on the outlying islands, fishing, crab hunting, and the Goidhoo Island tour). It is possible to pay by credit card. I was only able to stay for 3 days, but it seems that most people stay for 1-2 weeks. I was surprised that I could have such a luxurious experience in the Maldives without staying in a luxury resort. I'll be visiting again! so many of your thoughts and insights here.😊
