House holiday rentals in Gisborne

This place was perfect for having to get work done during the week, as well as get out and about for family commitments. The house was well stocked with kitchen items and other facilities, especially the swimming pool. Everything was spot on!!!!!!

We celebrated our Mum’s 60th Birthday at Nigel’s place and it was 10/10! The house was incredible and the scenery created a beautiful serenity. As a family who loves to cook, the kitchen had everything we needed and more. We highly recommend this home for a family getaway.

perfect little spot in Hepburn, Sharee was flexible and the place was so easy to check in to, even at 8pm in the dark (they left the lights on for us) bedrooms are get, multiple bathrooms and overall just a spacious environmental! One thing i will mention, coffee and tea is not provided at this house, so bring your own!

Saeed's property was as described. Inside the house, there was ample space to relax and unwind. The house was clean and tidy and the BBQ was prepped and ready for use. The pool area was also clean and easy to access. The internal central heating worked really quickly when the night became cold. The house was set up with a swing, hammock, fooseball table as well as a few other games. Saeed was a helpful and responsive host, willing to accommodate us. I would mention that it is one large house on the property, separating guests from Saeed's family by an internal locked door (so noise could be heard from the other side of the door). The pool can also be seen from the entire house, so if you wanted privacy, this is probably not the accommodation for you.

The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we needed – from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets and even board games for the evenings. Our host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing clear instructions. From the warm wood interiors to the crackling fireplace, it gave off those dreamy cabin-in-the-woods vibes we were craving. No traffic noise, no stress – just peaceful, quiet nature and that magical cabin coziness. We’re already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, this place is it.

Eric and Lynn were the ultimate hosts. The cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway for a wedding. Everything you could ask for was supplied - including supplies for a delicious breakfast (even home-baked bread!) The bed in the main bedroom was so luxurious. Both bathrooms were super generous in size. Could not have asked for more. And both hosts were proactive with their communications in the lead up to the stay, and super responsive with the couple of queries I had during the stay. Could not recommend more highly.

Easy & early check-in, beautiful home & entertaining pool/spa/sauna, looked exactly like the photos and hosts were very kind and quick in response. One of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in! Highly recommend :) Will be coming back.

A Truly Memorable Stay! From the very first moment, we felt an incredible sense of comfort. The house is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged — the perfect escape from the routine of daily life. There were so many things to do, from the pool and yoga studio to fun games like cards, puzzles, and billiards. But honestly, what made the experience truly special was our host. She welcomed us warmly, showed us around, and checked in every morning with a smile. The kids had a blast — especially getting to feed the animals. It felt less like a rental and more like visiting family. We stayed for two wonderful days, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, especially families with kids looking for a warm, memorable getaway.

Lovely location, spacious clean house and a host who responded in a timely manner to inquiries. If we’re ever lucky enough to get back to Melbourne we would definitely love to stay again.

Great place, great hosts, value for money

We stayed again, and like last time, it's a really convenient place where we feel right at home once we step through the door. The host is friendly and responsive. We'll likely be back.

Lovely place only about 10mins from the city centre and less than 5 mins from the lake. My only complaint was the driveway. I drive a Honda HRV and there was very little room either side of the mirrors. Would be great if there was room at the top of the drive to be able turn around so the sensors didn’t go off all the way down the drive. But after doing it twice I had no issues. The air con worked really well. Had to actually turn it off one afternoon as it was so hot. The house must be really well insulated because it stayed warm for hours. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook if your travelling on a budget.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for a fantastic stay at your Airbnb for my 30th! The place was perfect, and we had an amazing time. An outstanding rental. Supplies exceeded any expectation: fresh eggs, sourdough, milk, butter and honey. A great assortment of teas, well equiped kitchen. The house has lovely living areas, both inside and on covered verandas with everything needed plus extras. Beds all comfortable with plenty of places for our personal gear. Beautiful little blocks of luxurious handmade soap. We felt lucky to have found Susie’s house.

if I could give more stars I would. The best air BNB experience we ever had hands down. The air BNB was excellent, really clean, great facilities, lovely beds with lots of extras for us to use at no extra cost. We couldn't ask for better hosts than Gillian and Frankie. Beautiful house, had all the amenities we needed. Close to the Showgrounds (we were visiting for equitana). Secure and safe. Very quiet street. Fantastic value for money. Had a small issue with the dishwasher on check in. It was replaced the next day! Very impressed with the host and the house. Thank you

The house is as described, no problems at all. We needed a temporary place to stay when we had to vacate our house for a couple of days. Great house for dog owners as it was fully fenced all around. Next time I will ask for an extra key a just the one key was hard to manage but otherwise, exactly what we needed. Thanks

Great house with plenty of space for the five of us. Walking distance to the Main Street and the lake so no stress with the car. All amenities we needed for our short stay. Like the mix of old school charm and new. Would stay again.

My family and I had a great stay. The home was beautiful and lots of space for our three kids, and special touches like pantry stables. The kids and dog loved exploring the property and spotting kangaroo’s and bunnies. We loved exploring the local farmers markets and nature walks. The kids especially liked the bonfire at night. We were very lucky to also have a late checkout. Thanks for the great stay.
